We spent two nights at the Birmingham Ibis Styles Hotel, which was a pleasant experience. Hotel parking is very secure being underground, with 24 hour security on duty. Staff on the reception where always available for any questions, with plenty of smiles nothing being of any trouble. A big plus is the free hot drinks machine within the reception area, plenty of variety of coffees, teas & hot chocolate. The breakfast choices are limited compared to other stays Ive had, however it by was good enough & no complaints. The only gripes I had overall was the air-con leaked on the carpet within our room, plus the carrycot had no soft cushioning, just hard wooden slat’s.

Stayed for one night. location great and added bonus of safe car park under the hotel. (access in next street and extra charge) Clean, comfy and quiet. Staff very helpful. Coffee/tea facilities in room and free drinks machine in reception. Only one small problem was we only had one complimentary curly wurly on our pillow for two guests. This led to a big argument as to who was going to eat it and when we finally agreed to halve it, who was going to have the biggest half. Joking apart, I would not hesitate to recommend or stay again.

Super hotel very central car park is an absolute bonus & well worth paying for. Lots of spaces , under the hotel & v secure. Hotel is one of the cleanest I've ever stayed in & a real credit to the staff. Reception staff extremely helpful and breakfast is just what you would wish for. All in all I can find nothing at all wrong. Well done! A pleasure to stay 3 nights .

Nice room, comfy bed. Temperature in room was perfect, quilt wasn't too heavy either. Helpful reception staff on arrival. Brekkie was pleasant enough, just missing some tomatoes 🍅 😊

Nice room with huge bed. 4 stars only because it could have better ventilation as humidity and smell in the morning were a thing. Bathroom was super clean as well as the rest of the room, comfy bed and pillows. They also have kettle and coffee in the room. Underground parking for £15 per night, the entrance is through fleet Street behind the hotel. Payment and registering the car for the parking is through the reception during check in. Great location as it is 10min walk from utilita arena and very close to city centre

Amazing value for money. Paid £76 for a one night stay for 2 people for an event in Birmingham. The room was spotlessly clean. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Staff helpful and friendly, gave us directions to where we were headed and also told us a nice place for drinks (have their own bar but limited selection so gave advice on somewhere better). Breakfast was good considering the hotel room price, decent selection. Absolutely couldn't fault, was far better than I expected for the price.

A very central location, with superb breakfast. We stayed at the heart of Birmingham city, with designated hotel parking lots at the basement (you have to pay extra for parking but £13 overnight is good enough). Free coffee and hot chocolate at the lobby. Room is comfortable and of good size. Interestingly, the bathroom door serves its dual role of both the bathroom’s and the toilet’s door. Breakfast was fantastic with ingredients to make a full English breakfast (minus the black pudding). Recommend this place if you want to be close to bustling heart of the city center.

Great location and fantastic parking around back of hotel only £13. The staff we super friendly and breakfast good. Free coffee all day and magazines in reception. Room was good and amazing shower the only downfall was the bed, myself and my husband found the bed hard and lumpy which meant we had a terrible night's sleep. Overall though good value for money, great location.

We literally only spent about 8 hours here but it was a great place to rest our heads after a late night. 24 hour reception so didn’t matter that our train to New Street was delayed by half an hour. Breakfast was decent too and there was a generous check-out time.

We have stayed here many times over the years, usually when we are in town to see a show at the Utilita arena, which is a fifteen minute walk away by the canal from the hotel. We always have a great stay in this hotel, the rooms are comfortable, the staff are amazing, the location is central and it has its own underground car park. Highly recommended

Booking in was straightforward. Lovely lady at the desk. Also free local maps, very informative. Free hot drinks came in handy. Breakfast was good on both mornings very helpful staff. Television was not operating when arriving in our room. Fixed by the time we got back. Would gladly recommend.

Good location, just a short walk from the city centre. Room was clean and a good size, but i did find the bed to be a bit to hard for me, though this is my own preference, my friend found it fine. Front desk reception were friendly and kept our bags for us after we checked out so we didn't have to carry them round with us. Breakfast as nice, had a good selection on offer. Would definitely stay again.

Reasonably priced but all very average. The bed was huge but felt very used although clean obviously. Separate systems for cooling and heating meant the temperature was hard to control. Elon Musk will get humans to Mars but hotels still can’t install a room heating/cooling system that works. Breakfast was fine and staff friendly. Very central location which I guess is what you’re paying for.

Good location near the centre of Birmingham (we stayed here for the Christmas Market). Excellent service from all of the staff. The bonus for us was the car parking below the hotel, free for blue badge holders.

Midweek stay was very reasonably priced. Check in easy, albeit only one lift working so a bit hectic. Room itself while clean was quite shabby looking and in need of a refresh. Little chocolate bar left on the pillow though which was a nice touch. Not a great breakfast selection, and to be honest quality of the food was a bit disappointing.

Easy to find and good room although bed was a bit too hard . . but that is a personal view. Breakfast could do with a few more options such as fried eggs and fried bread. Overall, very good hotel with outstanding staff

Second stay. I stayed a couple of years ago with my son-in a double room he was so delighted by the free hot chocolate machine my memory of the hotel is really good. Not so much this time. Staff were nice enough and the family room was clean. I'd asked for a room on a high floor and got it but the view was absolutely awful & the windows don't open at all. The main bed was big but the pillow very flat. I took a pillow from the sofa bed my son wasn't using and it was hard as a brick. The sofa bed ends right next to the narrow table so absolutely no chance of sitting at the mirror and table to do makeup. The corridors did not have the nice smell of a welcoming hotel it smelt stale. My son liked the pancake maker at breakfast though they were the size of a big 50P. We had a good laugh about this. Breakfast was OK but there was not a wide selection of anything. Bacon far too hard. When we left we were rushing for a train and the staff at reception were busy so we didn't log this problem But when we tried to use the sink in the room water gushed all over the floor with gunk in it. Don't expect to even be able to brush your teeth.. the pipe under the sink had come out & was rotted, what's incredible is this fixture has been left to deteriorate with no maintenance. We can't be the only guests to have experienced this.

Great location close to the arena and right next door to a great pub The Shakespeare with delicious food and friendly banter. Room was basic but clean, breakfast had good choices. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Our room was warm, clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet included gluten free bread and soya milk as standard which was great. The staff are clearly hard working and courteous. There is parking around the back of the building. It is an underground car park which currently costs £13 per day of your stay which I thought was proportional and reasonable for a city centre hotel. I would use this hotel again.

This is probably one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. We came for a conference. The beds are so comfy. You get unlimited complimentary coffee, but what was the best was that ALL the staff went over and beyond to welcome us. Nothing was too much. Thank you for being so lovely and humble.

7 minute walk from O2 arena, was one of the cheapest hotels we found yet in the best location for us, we thought the room was lovely and spacious, the shower was hot, there were free 24/7 hot drinks available and there is secure underground carparking. Just remember parking is an added £13 onto your stay which you pay when you leave at the main desk. Everyone was friendly and polite

Albeit a bit basic, the room was nice and clean. The problem was the bed and bedding. The bed itself was uncomfortable. The duvet was less than 1cm thick in the middle of winter and the pillows were lumpy and hard. Had the worst night sleep ever! The staff were lovely and I enjoyed the buffet breakfast hence why I've given 2 and not 1 star.

Lovely, helpful staff. Would definitely visit again. A short walk from Birmingham New Street so very convenient for travelling back and forth. Close to the conference centre I was at for two days. The room was clean. Marked 4 because of the white towels having pink stains on them which looked like they were dyed but not dirty and the toilet tissue was a bit rough so I used my emergency toilet paper. Was woken by some guests arriving back very late but not the problem of the hotel staff more about the people who decided to have a loud conversation outside my room.

On arriving at the hotel we were disappointed to find that both the air conditioning and the master power switch were not working during the hot weather. Our disappointment was short lived however due to the friendliness and efficiency of the staff on duty. They fixed the switch issue immediately and when they couldn't overcome the A/C problem they found us another room straightaway and helped move all of our gear to the new room. Breakfast excellent....😁

Really nice hotel, we did have to change rooms as the air conditioning didn’t work in our first room (on the hottest day of the year so far). However please don’t take this as a negative. I went down to speak to the team they handled the whole situation in a professional and friendly manner. So impressed with chain hotels you do know what your getting room wise. But the staff really can make a hotel shine! The team at Birmingham centre really do come across friendly, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you for a five star stay folks!

Lovely friendly staff and a fabulously comfy bed. Our room didn’t have much of a view but we were off out so wasn’t an issue. Shower was really good with shampoo and body wash provided. Plenty of towels too. Plug points for charging devices by the bed. Breakfast was included. Kids eat free. Nice view by the window and loads of places to charge phone which is a big plus point for me. Food was buffet style and really good. City centre is a few minutes down the road Definitely recommend

Stayed here for two nights as in city to watch events at common wealth games. Hotel is in a great location. So central to all the action. Found the hotel to be clean, modern & staff were friendly. Booked the hotel last year when we got tickets for the common wealth games & at check in were pleasantly informed that we were eligible for breakfast which we didn't think we were. Nice little surprise. Thankyou! The family room was clean but the sofa bed for a 10 & 11 Yr old was too small really. It was quite squeaky too but the kids managed. Found the main bed very firm so not to comfiest. Only had 3 towels & did ask for another one but never received it but we managed. Nice touch having access to free hot drinks machine in reception.

Check in staff and breakfast were great. Kiss ate free with a paying adult. Hotel and room and rooms are clean. Great to have use of a coffee/tea machine at reception. However we booked in as a family of 2 adults and 2 children but given a room of only two beds. I don't think we would have got three in the main bed so we made up another bed with things we had in the car. So just be careful when booking a family room - there's a sofa bed which isn't very comfy that doesn't sleep 2 and a large double (maybe king sized) that would sleep 2 adults. Definitely no room for a family of 4! If we came again we'd make sure we brought a blow up bed!🙄

Room was very clean and tidy. We stayed at family room, second bed which is for our kid was very big and comfortable. As well as room facilities were good enough for price. Iron, hair dryer, kettle, shampoo and toileters, TV. Location was also central. All staff were kind and friendly.

Reception staff were so friendly and helpful. Room was very clean, towels changed daily. Breakfast was a bargain for £6.95 each for myself and my daughter and my grandson ate free. Great choice from cereal, yoghurts, fruit etc plus a full English breakfast, eat as much as you like. 15 minute walk to the Bullring. Excellent hotel, will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Birmingham

Hotel is very central and well placed for exploring the city centre on foot. The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. Room was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. Only downsides were room was gloomy as didn't get any direct sun and there were no recycling facilities.

The hotel was perfect for our 1 night stay. It is conveniently located for the city centre, and with parking at the hotel, it makes it so easy to stay here. Staff were very friendly during our stay and the room which we were given on the 6th floor was clean, comfortable and perfectly appointed for our stay. The receptionist upon checking in, even changed our room without being asked, to make our stay with a small child much more comfortable. That was much appreciated! Breakfast was plentiful and with a good selection of both hot & cold foods. Breakfast area was clean and staff replenished food when necessary. A free coffee machine in reception is a nice touch, available 24hrs. Also kettle and refreshments provided in the room too. We would not hesitate to book this hotel again if we were visiting the area.

Clean rooms, breakfast good, staff excellent. We had a warm welcome when we arrived, the staff were very helpful. Plenty to eat at breakfast. Again staff very helpful if you needed information with any dietary requirements. Highly recommend this hotel, It is not the Ritz but it it not Ritz prices. Excellent facilities for the price. Will stay again.

Amazing stay, I stayed here when I'm there for a work meeting. The check-in is quick and the rooms are spacious and peaceful. I could barely hear anything from outside which is perfect. The breakfast is good too with the usual options like eggs, bacon, sausages, beans and toast with lots of coffee(available round the clock). It's quite central which is the best thing if you have to be in city center. The staff is friendly and cheerful! Would definitely recommend!
