A local whole sale bazaar. You can find absolutely all sort beauty products, spices, food products and other household stuff. Although, rowdy and crowded, people go about their daily errands.

Huge crowds and a wide selection. We liked the spice and food area the most. Cheap prices but be prepared to bargain and to get pushed around by people trying to get by. Would recommend!

A large and varied popular market, and each area has specific goods, for example, one area for clothes, another for shoes, and a third for foods and sweets.. You can enjoy buying traditional goods that the people of Kyrgyzstan are famous for, and you can also buy gifts and souvenirs I recommend visiting it after six o'clock in the evening during the summer due to the heat of the weather!

I would suggest to visit at least once. The alley are dirty and filthy. Not a family friendly area also not touristic. This is a proper shopping place were locals go for their needs. I found one single shop at the corner away from all noise a souvenir shop. It’s way cheaper here than in hotel or in airport.

Amazing Local bazaar with different sections spanned across multiple buildings . Adjacent to it various markets for mobile phone , silver & gold jewellery The Central Osh bazaar includes market for fruits, veggies, Spices ,pulses ,kumuz various nuts & dried fruits, Honey , jams apart from the numerous Clothing stores. The local Walnuts, Special Dried apricots, Very unique Dried grapes variety Badam, various Nuts from Uzbek are very tasty. The different type of Rice varieties from central Asia , unique Anasazi beans , white rock looking dried yogurt, sweets from Russia , krygystan brand chocolate The prices for nuts and other condiments, masala etc are discounted while in clothing store and other general ones it's very tough to get discounts .As the public only speaks Russian or krygyz mostly always need to use google translate & calculator so to buy the item There are souvenir store near osh Bazar which are very economical - outside osh Bazaar markets. Various krygyz sovenirs including yurt models , magnets ,keychain ,krygyz mats , Krygyz Hat, traditional Krygyz wear etc .the clothing market for military gear, military style dresses, bands, honor badges is huge and general 1st copy dress of major brands..but the prices for copy clothes are high compared to India or middle east .In general the clothing is majorly Turkish made , Chinese or local Krygyz Most of the shops don't have card payments , ATM and currency exchanges are available in plenty around the area

Very large and impressive to walk through. Lots of choice and good prices, not everyone speaks English but what do you expect. Be wary of pickpockets

Osh Bazar is one of the oldest and most famous bazars in Kyrgyzstan located in Osh city. Mostly a person coming here can  buy food products, almost any common household good, clothes and many others.

I love markets like this, so loved to walk around here and treat the senses to all sorts of smells and sights! If you want to get an idea of everyday life in Bishkek, the market is the place to go. You can do bargaining in all stuffs. It's busy, of course, but you can buy virtually anything you need for your trip in the country and it's all very affordable. Also excellent for shoppping souvenirs to bring home. I bought some really good honey and spices. Don't forget to do a bit of haggling; it makes it all a bit more fun.

I love walking around these kind of market because you can see how the local life is. The market is good and there are plenty of things to buy and to see. The only reason why I gave 3 starts not 5 because the market was a little bit dirty. But at least it is a good place to visit.

Must go in the capital! Really affordable prices of food without the need to bargain. As for clothing: well, you won't find here to many original items but if you search a bit you can find really nice fakes for funnily low prices. If you ask politely they have no problems with you taking photos of the merchandise. Reserve at least 2-3 hours for a visit. Open every day, just on Mondays most of the stalls are closed.

Don't go there in winter time, when snow starts melting. You will be just disgusted by the roads.

Definitely a must to see place in Bishkek. Food is great and people who are selling are very friendly and welcoming. A lot of species, meat, bread, tobacco and much more. Definitely worth coming here

Absolutely must see in Bishkek. Osh Bazaar is a very intense experience, first of all the meat section. No need to explain what not to buy, your instincts will lead you.

Definitely worth a visit when in Bishkek. Don't stick to the main paths, but push inside to the clothing district on the right hand side after entering through the front archway. Fruits, spices, clothing, you'll find it all. Be careful of your bags though, there's a lot of people. Try a cup of tea from the vendors while walking to make it even more enjoyable

Great place for observation, listening, watching the real life. One of the best bazaars I have seen. Prices better than on other bazaars in Bishkek.

If you want a true Kyrgys experience, then this place is a must! Biggest bazar in Bishkek filled with everything you could think of - traditional food, clothes, old itimes, spices, nuts, toys, souvenirs, and so much more. It's chaotic and lively, amazing opportunity to mingle with all the locals and experience local life first hand.

An interesting place and full of activity. But one needs to know how to bargain. Things and souvenirs are cheapest here. Avoid buying from shopping malls, manas airport, tourists attractions and buy at bishkek osh bazaar if you want good prices

The Osh Bazaar is one of the best bazaars I have gone to around the world. Despite it being like a wet market, you can readily find an assortment of Krgyz produce being sold here. Strong recommendation to buy the dry fruits and nuts here. The macadamia nuts, walnuts and raisins are really really good and really affordable. Felt products can also be bought here. Bargaining can be done here but as the prices quoted here are overall not that expensive (a pair of flet gloves cost me USD 3), my genuine advice is to let the sellers earn a little.

If you want to see the national flavor and try the asian cuisine, be sure to visit the Osh Bazaar. Here you can experience the Asian atmosphere. You can not only see but also try everything eatable. Dried fruits, sweets, tortillas, meat, fresh vegetables and fruits, kuruty and much more. Before visiting the bazaar, I advise you to wear comfortable shoes, as the territory is very big, so you have to walk a lot. You are welcome to bargain, but just with a smile. Do not exchange money at a local currency exchange. Better to change in banks. Only cash is accepted here. Be careful for your stuff at bazaar, there are a lot of thieves and pickpockets

Not much you can find as a tourist, mostly goods for locals from cheep clothes, fruits, vegs, nuts and meat. Also there are some buildings for electronics stores, home decorations and jewellery shops.

The place is rich in all types of food you would need to buy in Bishkek. They have a place as well for selling stolen phones. Some people were very nice but some were very aggressive when we tried to take photos.

Cheapest option for groceries and other stuff in Bishkek. But be aware too many pocket picker are there. Osh bazar is heaven for Mobile thieves. Be aware if you visit this area.

It's a very large market and almost everything can be bought from here. Things here are not cheap, but they are cheaper than local shops. It's worth visiting once or twice per month to buy ration for the whole month

  • 5/5 Sabina G. 1 year ago on Google
This is a great market for shopping for knickknacks. The prices are dirt cheap and there is no need to bargain. People don’t speak English so they just show prices on their calculators. We don’t typically see vendors calling out to customers to buy from them. It is peaceful but very busy market, where you will get anything under the Sun. Must visit if you are in Bishkek.

  • 5/5 Wayne L. 1 year ago on Google
Fun happening place, spices, dried fruit and nuts, pickled cukes, beets, cabbages and other things. Across the road is clothing, electronics, souvenirs, luggage and almost anything else you can think of.

  • 4/5 Muhammad Ali Ghulam K. 2 years ago on Google
Decent Bazaar, with sectioning of shops according to types of things sold which increases buyer convenience. Great prices as compared to the rest of the city. The paths are messy, so try not to wear expensive or overhanging large clothes. The security is sub par to keeps your wits about you and keep notice of your valuables at all times, otherwise you should be fine. Would not recommend going alone especially if you're a foreigner, with friends, it's a great place to visit.

It's interesting to walk around. The seeds shop has very large buying options of flowering plants. No one really checks at the airport if you were carrying seeds. Other than this shop, everything else is cheap stuff. Makes a good place for photography. Asia mall and Bishkek Park are better places for shopping.

Pretty old place to trade. I would not recommend for people for Tourists searching for traditional uniqueness, it is rather a place where internal immigration from all over Kyrgyzstan meets. Unless you are willing to dive in and observe local community dwellers trading, living their lives in relatively cheapest marketplace in the capital of Bishkek

Osh Bazaar in Kyrgyzstan is a vibrant and bustling marketplace that offers a sensory feast for visitors. The diverse array of stalls showcases local produce, spices, textiles, and crafts. Navigating through the maze of vendors, you'll encounter the rich tapestry of Kyrgyz culture. Bargaining is an integral part of the experience, adding a lively dynamic to the atmosphere. However, be prepared for crowds and occasional chaos. The authentic charm and cultural immersion make Osh Bazaar a must-visit for those seeking a genuine taste of Kyrgyzstan.

I am not sure as to recommend this place to tourists despite the official Bishkek guides. Yes, it is indeed hustling and bustling and coming from a western country you might consider it exotic, but I wouldn’t name it as a main tourist attraction of Bishkek - better get your souvenirs at a bigger supermarket. The atmosphere is kind of unpleasant - from meat sellers with sheep heads full of maggots to suspicious drunk men staring at you, it is just a big contrast to the rest of the city.
