It was definitely different from the usual boat tours along the Black River. The guides were very knowledgeable and personable. The ATV experience is as I can describe, one of a kind in Jamaica. It was also very educational as it was fun. The lookout tower was magnificent, the views were breathtaking.

The land of Wood and Water is surely captured in its unmatched Beauty here. Our Guide Mr. Linton offered the most amazing tour. We weren’t bored, he was engaging, answered our questions and was quite accommodating. He even pet two of the crocs 🐊 ....how epic. NB if going save your chicken skins and fat to feed the crocs. They swim right up to the boat 🚣‍♀️.

No regrets about this tour. From the start it was entertaining and very informative. He knows his stuff and has a relationship with the animals in the area. The views were amazing and the tour added the extra quality to the experience. highly recommend, and will be doing this tour again.

Our captain, Lloyd, was very knowledgable and informative about the Black River and wildlife. This is one of the only tours that takes you to Sister Lou's to eat Crab Backs. Our kids enjoyed jumping off the bridge! Thanks again for a great time!

The tour felt short, could barely hear the tour guide and when we asked him questions its like he didn't want to answer, we expected to see way more crocodiles we only saw like 5 in the distance and that was it.... My friends and I weren't pleased by this at all

Lloyd took us on a wonderful tour of the Black River. As a biologist, he answered all the questions and knows very well about the animals and plants and is really a great personality. Gladly again!

Highly recommended tour! Prices clearly showed and explained. Clean and confortable restrooms. Flexible solutions. Excellent guides, very professional, with 40years of experience of the Great Moss and of their inhabitants: the crocodiles (they know how to find them, they call each one by its name and they know how to approach them in a safe way). The guides also give you a lot of historical and environmental informations, and they are able to make every single mangrove very fascinating! They are respectful of the environment and their approach must be recognised and rewarded. If you’re looking to a tour into the Black river which is informative, relaxing, not so exspensive and we’ll organized you must sail with Lloyd of the Irie Tour.

We booked the big tour and took the boat to the bridge where we ate the best freshly caught crabs. We were able to jump into the river from the bridge and cool off. The tour up until then was very interesting, we saw crocodiles, sea eagles and wonderful mangroves and learned a lot of new things about them. The owner himself infected us both with his enthusiasm for the river and its inhabitants. Thanks for the nice time Julia and Andre 10 out of 10 points We booked the big tour and took the boat to the bridge where we ate the best freshly caught crabs. Loved the authenticity of the tour. The swamp buggy was definitely my favourite part. Driving through the mud and then stopping at the tower was awesome!

Mr Linton (the proprietor) ran our tour who was extremely knowledgeable about the Black River and the ecosystem and topography of the area...he is a biologist. We saw many crocodiles, bird life and learned the plants and species of the area. 100% recommend and would go again.

We had a fantastic time with Captain Lloyd, he’s very knowledgeable and a great companion. The perfect mix of education and fun! You’ll see a ton of wildlife and travel a pristine river with a nice mix of different habitats. Make sure to pay a couple extra bucks for the extended tour and visit Sister Lou’s for some delicious crab and cold drinks. She is an excellent host and has a clutter of lovely cats hanging around (who would greatly appreciate some of your crab). I HIGHLY recommend this tour.

We followed the reviews and had a great tour with Lloyd, who was happy to share his knowledge. He also shows birds, knows a lot about the plants, and explains everything very well and entertainingly. We can only recommend not following the mainstream! We booked the long tour and were not disappointed with the crabs at Sister Lou's... super delicious! Thanks Lloyd for the great tour! Andrea and Robert, Germany

A great recommendation for those who want to make a more than touristy trip. The guide knows a lot about the area and the animals and is happy to share this information in a pleasant way.
