    Worst Specsavers branch ever. We had terrible service by staff except for the optometrist yesterday. Two receptionists did everything not to help us even though we explained everything with proof. Thankfully we went to another branch in Angel that threaded us very well and handled the issue. Overall, folks, stay away from Specsavers - Moorgate!!!

    It is the worst experience for me in the UK. The receptionist was completely ignorant of my eye problem and refused to help me. I can never forget the scene when the staff rolled her eyes in front of me and asked me to leave. The first two times I visited before was a nice experience. The optometrists were very friendly and professional in giving me advice on my eye problems. However, it does not work after I follow their instructions. To go to the eye hospital to get a further diagnosis, I must get a reference letter from the optician. The receptionist of the branch refused me twice after I followed her first advice to get back to GP just because she thinks I don’t have a problem with my eyes based on the prescription. The worst part was she asked me to leave instead of wasting her time serving another client even though I said I went there to get my new pair of glasses as well at the beginning. Then she gave me a rolling eye when I passed her???? God bless me. I reached out to another branch of Spacesaver and get more professional service and advice!!! I rarely write comments, but it is different this time. I DON’T WANT ANYBODY TO EXPERIENCE THE SAME BAD SITUATION AS ME!!!! If you have any problem, try to avoid the branch, Specsavers Opticians and Audiologists – Moorgate (EC2M 5QD)!

    Wow, the worst customer service today 5/01/23 at around 14.45. Had work vouchers and was rushed and when I tried to ask questions they were argumentative and not listening. The lady who did my eye test and subsequently lady who did further tests downstairs were great. As soon as u come upstairs the atmosphere changes. She discussed my query in the front of another customer to the area manager! The area manager was attending to another customer and this lady went ahead gossiping to him what I was asking. No one explained what the prescription was but just that I had to pay extra for this and that. I was very disappointed in who they called the area manager as he turned a blind eye . I could easily afford any glasses on the shelf but When I went to boots for same stuff a year ago they were fantastic. This year not sure why the coy went for specsaver vouchers! I will never visit this store. I had vouchers worth over 130 pounds and they were still cornering me to pay 55 for lenses if I chose from the 69 pounds range! When it clearly states that lenses were free! Greatest poorest customer service and I am shocked at how the area manager behaved. It was clearly due to my background. Read the reviews here.. Someone has the same experience of race . It is very clear the attitude shown was really bad. Do not waste your time at this shop . If you don’t want to be rushed and sold something you don’t need , don’t go there. If I could give minus 1 starts I would. Shame on the Moorgate branch!

    Terrible service. I had my fist eye test in February, since then the store staff failed to sort out my contact lenses prescription and it’s been 4 months now. Either they forget to place the order or enter my details wrong in their system. They also set up my profile in a way that the online ordering doesn’t recognise my details. I had to go back to the store severa times to complain but they don’t seem to care to resolve my problem. I also tried asking for a signed prescription with correct details to is it somewhere else, as I payed for the test. They failed to provide it for me and also failed to give me a refund for my test. Absolutely waste of time & money.

    I found it a little embarrassing that the lady who attended us didn't have the patience to wait for my 11-year-old daughter to choose her glasses. . Several times, while my daughter tried on the frames,when she approached, inconveniently, she asked: have you chosen? My daughter was a little embarrassed. I even told her that we would need time, which she often ignored. In the end she, who was in such a hurry to answer us, took longer to close the order, because she didn't know about prices and system things, than my daughter to choose the glasses. I felt discriminated against, because for a few times when I communicated with my daughter in our language, even low so as not to disturb, she listened and asked: Sorry? I was constrained to translate my speech, even without knowing much. I do not recommend going with children and immigrants there. The impression I got is that we are not welcome I wanted to cancel and get out of there quickly, I don't have to pay to be mistreated, I didn't do it for my daughter, who needs to go back to school.

    The worst customer experience I’ve ever received. I ordered lenses which I still haven’t received (it’s been a month) Went back to the store, they advised it would be delivered to my house, now they’ve apparently arrived at store. Also impossible to actually call and speak someone in store. Never again, don’t waste your time!

    Terrible service! I arrived to confirm my new prescription, swap contact lenses and collect my new glasses. I had to wait 15mins for service as they were "short staffed" but still let 2 staff go to lunch together. The man at lense counter was incredibly rude, massive entitled attitude and failed to apologise for the wait at all. I would avoid this store. It's a franchise, so give your business to a franchisee who takes the time to select good staff

    Needed a nose pad replacement from a purchase somewhere else, and got it serviced for free here. Quick in quick out. Thanks to Tom who is an all rounded, excellent employee. Would highly recommended

    Send me three messages asking me to cancel my appointment. When that didn’t worked callled me in the middle of me doing something (english of the guy was not the best either) and somehow cancelled my appointment. When I called them later (when I could talk) to ask about my appointment they said that they had cancelled it (no confirmation of cancellation email has been sent to me however). Honestly, the worst customer experience with opticians, would not recommend!!!

    The absolute worst. Poor service and a lack of care. UPDATE to the response from the 'owner': I've lodged a complaint with Specsavers through Customers Services and received an email to learn that my glasses have been waiting for me (I don't know for how long) but I won't be able to pick them up until next week despite desperately needing them for this weekend. If the Moorgate team had been transparent from the start and explained that there would be a delay in getting my glasses (and contact lenses which weren't even mentioned in the email) I would have gone elsewhere but not I'm trapped with having to deal with Specsavers or be out of pocket paying for a test and receiving any benefits following from that if I went to another optician. I would like to think this was a one off case but remember I had a very similar experience two years prior with the Victoria Branch of Specsavers. It looks to be a case of getting your customers money but then not coming back with the product. Shameful. This will absolutely be the final time I deal with Specscammers.

    Came in here to try and recycle my old expired contact lenses. The lady serving me was polite but started checking my details on the computer for a few minutes before asking me how many lenses i had and telling me they can't take them (despite the website saying they can). She said I can just throw them in the bin - nice to see lack of care about plastic pollution. Went into Boots opposite straight after who couldn't have been more helpful and I popped all my lenses in their recycle box with no questions asked and was told they melt the plastic and turn into benches etc. Much better!

    Make sure you turn up about 45 mins after your appointment slot, don't expect to be seen at the time you've booked as they always seem to be running late. I'd recommend going to Boots opticians next door, they at least are punctual.

    The sheer level of poor customer service is remarkable. I have been waiting over 2 months for my contact lens subscription to be filled… on top they called me for a lens check up and only ordered lenses for the right eye made me come to the appointment for no reason. Bad branch, bad customer service. Do not recommend.

    The lady who tested eyes for glasses and contact lenses was friendly, professional and very good at explaining everything to me - and also gave me a few options for types of lenses that I might try. Excellent! Picking glasses frames has always been a problem for me - I can never tell what will be good for me. Fortunately, Mohamed was there to help me. He asked all the right questions and gave me a lot of frames options to try. He was very frank about what might be and might not be suitable I was very impressed. Mohamed was most helpful indeed. Excellent!

    Friendly staff but incredibly mismanaged. Tried to call and email for a week, couldn’t get through at any point. The main Specsavers office even tried to contact them on my behalf, couldn’t get through. In the end I went in person and was given clearly untrue excuses by the store manager.     Consistently run late (<20mins) while the majority of the staff socialise in one of the consultation rooms. Block plenty of time out of your diary. Consultation does what it says on the tin.

    The optometrist I was seen by, I believe her name is Aliyah, was super helpful and knowledgable, she gave the best optical advice I’ve had. She was more than willing to help me and went above and beyond with my case. She was supportive and kind about all the questions and concerns I had, which was very reassuring to me. definitely recommend this Specsavers!

    I had an eye and hearing test booked in. Customer service was very poor, a male employee downstairs greeted me eventually by saying 'alright' (having waited five minutes for an employee to turn up) only to be told there was no hearing test available in that store. I decided tohead to Boots instead.

    I'm so incredibly impressed with my experience at this Specsavers that I'm writing my first Google review. I needed new glasses, but don't have a lot of money at the moment and was struggling to find a pair I liked within my price range. When I explained my situation, one of the staff members went out of his way to ensure I found glasses that I both loved and could afford. And I was able to get prescription sunglasses as well due to the 2-for-1 deal! I later found out that the man who helped me was the owner of the shop, but I don't think this makes his helpful service and friendly manner any less impressive. It absolutely made my day and I've got the glasses all fitted now and I love them. Thanks so much!

    Booked appointment on-line for a face to face consultation at ease. Initial impression good. My only disappointment was, the equipment was not wiped before the test. There was a wipe but it was not a disinfectant wipe (it was plain tissue). Odd for me as Covid has been going on for at least a year now. Also, felt rushed even though I was the only customer yet.

    I purchased glasses and lenses and had an eye test. I was unhappy with the quality of your specialist's services as, my vision prescription was not determined correctly. When wearing the glasses, I get dizziness and headaches because it is very difficult to look through the lenses.

    My first time at Specsavers was definitely one of the best optical advice I have had. My optometrist, Nikita B, was more than willing to help and went above and beyond with my case. She was supportive and kind about all the questions and concerns I had, which was definitely very reassuring. Her advice has helped me settle in with having glasses very smoothly too! Keep up the good work!

    Highly recommend! Very punctual and spotless inside. The optician (I think her name was Jeni) was very friendly and clear in explaining my eye health. I then had to pick out some frames, and having never wore glasses before it was quite a daunting task, but Haytim was super helpful and helped me whittle down their selection to 2 pairs I really liked. They made the experience enjoyable, and usually I don't like visiting the opticians.

    My experience in store was wonderful from start to finish. Everything ran smoothly, I was greeted by a lovely girl at the door who was very helpful, I didn’t have to wait too long to be seen which is always a bonus. The optometrist was lovely and took her time when explaining the results. Lastly Haytim the gentlemen who helped me choose my frame was very helpful. He was super patient while I was choosing my frame, I didn’t feel rushed to make a decision and even was nice enough to pick out a few designs for me which I thought was lovely. Overall the store as a whole was amazing, would definitely recommend others to use this store.

    I couldn’t be happier with the service here. I needed an appointment after a couple of years of being with a rival who couldn’t find a slot for a contact lens check up and eye test and the folks here were prompt, helpful and relaxed. And didn’t give me a hard time for being away from them for so long.

    Fantastic customer service, proffessional and friendly. Good value for money with approachable and passionate staff. In particular, Farida helped me with replacing my lenses in a couple of minutes. I was very impressed with her manner and attitude. Would highly recommend this branch!
