Podsosensky lane 21, estate of V. Morozov, Arch. Shekhtel, restored, wonderful, like all Shekhtel’s buildings.

Perhaps an idea for your Sunday - Breakfast at the Literary Museum, in Ostroukhov's house. Today was the topic of Mayakovsky. After a tour of the museum, buns with tea or coffee and photographs against the backdrop of the old building. Well, after a walk along the Arbat alleys where history and literature are closely intertwined... here are Dostoevsky and Bunin and Pushkin and the houses of rich merchants of the past and present time

A nice little museum with home autographs of Repin, Polenov, Levitan. And rare icons from the author's collection. Very rare. For example, the conception of John the Baptist

Great place and staff. The exhibition dedicated to Mayakovsky's anniversary is worthy of all praise. Unexpectedly modern. Both soundly and tastefully

I went to Ostroukhov’s museum, hoping to see his paintings, but ended up at an exhibition of wartime photographs and documents. The exhibition itself is good. But....

We went to the museum with a small group of 5 people for the Olympics. In the process of studying the museum exhibits, they answered questions. Everything was fine until we reached hall 3. The caretaker from hall 4 approached us. She wanted to help. We accepted her help. We listened to what she said and went to look at the exhibits. The caretaker began to say that we were doing the wrong thing. After listening to her again, we continued looking at photographs, display cases with books and other things. The caretaker began to ask what class we were from. We answered her. She said: "What stupid children!" The caretaker from hall 4 began to irritate us. (Personally, I generally wanted to leave there, but before that, tell the main one about her. Which is what I did.) We quickly completed the answers to the remaining questions and left from there. The museum itself is good. The exhibits look good. It smells old, which adds to the atmosphere. But the caretaker left a bad taste.
