Wenn das die tibetische Küche ist, ist sie nichts für uns. Das ganze Essen war komplett geschmacksneutral. Beim Gericht Nr. 20 stand nicht dabei, dass es sehr scharf sein wird. Aber es war richtig scharf. Außerdem sind die Portionen sehr klein. So z.B. bei Nr. 20 eine Schöpfkelle Glasnudeln mit zähem Fleisch und eine Schöpfkelle Reis dazu als Hauptgang. Ohne Vorspeise wären wir hungrig gegangen. Die traditionelle Suppe Nr. 10 war "geschmacksneutrales farbiges Wasser" mit ein bißchen Einlage. Die Vorspeisen-Suppe 06 haben wir mit der übrig gebliebenen Soße aus 05 "nachgewürzt". So hatte sie wenigstens ein bißchen Geschmack. Das Gericht mit dem Hähnchen war schon ziemlich kalt und als einziges von der Portion ausreichend. Ach ja und das Mezzo wurde uns kurz und zackig ohne Glas auf den Tisch gestellt. Wir haben uns dann an der Theke selber ein Glas geholt. Eigentlich fühlte sich der Besuch mehr wie eine unpersönliche Schnellabfertigung in einem Imbis an. Aber das WC war sauber...

Ein wunderbarer Abend mit unglaublich leckerem Essen. Das Ambiente fängt die Gäste ein und man fühlt sich automatisch sehr wohl. Lieben Dank an die Dame und den Herrn, die heute Abend im Service gearbeitet haben. Ihr habt den Abend perfekt gemacht.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Es gibt Speisen von vegan über vegetarisch bis zu Fleischgerichten. Es werden Suppen, Salate, die Spezialität Teigtaschen in verschiedenen Variationen, Fleisch- und Nudelgerichte, Gemüse und Nachtisch angeboten. Tibetischer Buttertee, gesalzen, hat mich voll überzeugt. Sehr empfehlenswert. Das Personal ist aufmerksam und freundlich und berät gut.

Ich kann die meisten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Wir waren gestern Abend hier essen und es war eine einzige Katastrophe. Die Bedienung war äußerst verpeilt, hat kaum etwas auf die Reihe gekriegt. Dies begann mit der Bestellung und zog sich bis hin zur Bezahlung. Bei allem mussten wir zweimal nachfragen (Getränke, Brot, Rechnung et.). Brot kam erst, als wir mit dem Essen fast fertig waren, und dies erst auf Nachfrage. Das Hauptgericht "gebratene Nudeln mit Gemüse" ist viel zu trocken und kaum genießbar. Die Momos waren zäh und die Füllung viel zu trocken. Die Rechnungen zweier Tische wurden miteinander vertauscht, was zu einem Chaos führte. Die Stühle auf der Terasse sind so ungemütlich, dass man nach einer Stunde unruhig wird und schnell wieder das Restaurant verlassen möchte. Ein Nachtisch unter diesen Bedingungen kam für uns nicht infrage. Noch einmal werde ich hier nicht essen.

Visited this place for the first time. My husband recommended it)) And It was really a good one. The food was freshly made, it was not crowded and the chef took time to prepare the meals. The waiter was extremely polite and helpful. Before even ordering the dish he can recommend you or suggest the specialities they have. After bringing the dish he also explained us the ingredients. That is a big plus point. Usually the waiters just drop the food at your table and rush away. We totally enjoyed the dinner. It looks like they really take time and care to serve their clients a good and delicious food!!! Thank you guys!

Mixed feelings, maybe because it was so warm inside and there were some annoying flies. I ordered a chicken dish (19 on the menu), spices and taste were really great, but the chicken, really dry. My friend ordered a soup woth vegetarian dumplings, they were just okay.

November 2023: Aufgrund des positiven Erlebnis im April freuten wir uns als Familie anlässlich eines Geburtstag erneut tibetisch zu Essen. Leider viel das Essen im Vergleich zum ersten Mal stark ab. Zwei Gerichte wurden nahezu komplett zurück gegeben eines nur zur Hälfte verspeist. Der Service war distanziert und kühl und passte sich so dem schlechteren Essen an. Der zweite Besuch war somit wahrscheinlich unser letztes im Himalayak. Stand April 2023: Wer mal eine etwas andere asiatische Küche ausprobieren möchte findet im Himalayak genau das richtige. Tolle Aromen, feine Gewürze, qualitativ hochwertige Zutaten gepaart mit einer klasse Zubereitung ergeben ein Geschmackserlebnis der besonderen Art.

Utterly tasteless food. No spices, herbs or flavours to remember. I had carrot and courgette slices swimming in milk cream. A table next to us left food almost untouched. All tables with reserved tag.

Tried out the Tibetian specialitaten restaurant just before i leave Germany. To be honest, the service was just very slow considering that there weren't too many people when i ate there. But i still give 5 stars for two reasons, and these are the main things i always consider when i make a restaurant review: 1. The food. It was to-die-for! It was just very good, aroma will make you float, authentic taste (since i had a company who knows Tibetian very well), and very sumptuous! 2. A very warm waitress. She was just very accommodating, always checks if the food was great or if we are happy with the meal (which of course we really were), and makes sure to give us her best service ever. If i had another chance, i'd come back and visit this place again!

The flavor is quite good, but the serving size is a bit small, so big eaters may not be able to eat enough and need to order two main meals! 21, 22, they're good.

One of the best Tibetan Restaurant in Bonn. Very friendly and cozy atmosphere. One could try both Tibetan and Indian food. You feel like you are having homemade foods 🥘 👌👌 My favorite is Shabaleb 🥟🥟 and yummy 😋 yummy 😋 Indian snacks . Love to go there with family and friends !😻😋

Had to wait nearly 1 hour for the food. If that wasn't enough, meat was overcooked and the cook forgot the spices. Never again!

Excellent Tibetan and Nepalese food. Staff is very kind and friendly. Good atmosphere that encourages enjoying your food mindfully. One of the best restaurants in Bonn, to my experience.

The service was very good and the restaurant is nicely decorated. We ate different vorspeisen and I also ordered a vegetarian soup. The food was good but not out of this world good. I would maybe go there again and try other dishes out of curiosity.

Special flavour, and the lamb is tender and tasty, salad is marinated and suits the meat very well.

Really great experience! Genuine cuisine, dishes are made with care and taste authentic, not of artificial flavour enhancers. Wide choice of vegetarian & vegan alternatives. Honestly one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. I usually eat vegetarian but made an exception for the lamb curry because it sounded so good and it was INCREDIBLE. Perfectly tender with a lovely blend of spices and clearly fresh ingredients. The service was also fantastic and very helpful to me as someone with little experience with Tibetan / Himalayan food.
