Vis
à
Vis
is
a
restaurant
that
serves
Italian
and
Indian
dishes.
Because
of
this
somewhat
strange
combination,
we
entered
the
restaurant
full
of
skepticism.
But
we
were
pleasantly
surprised.
We
were
warmly
greeted
and
served.
First
of
all,
oven-fresh
farmer's
baguette
is
offered
with
a
pot
of
onion
lard
and
homemade
mayonnaise.
As
a
starter
we
shared
focaccia,
which
was
brushed
with
olive
oil,
garlic
and
herbs
and
was
a
bit
too
salty
for
my
taste.
For
main
courses
we
chose
dishes
from
Indian
cuisine:
chicken
tikka
and
lamb
curry.
The
chicken
dish
had
a
pleasant
spiciness
and
was
very
tasty.
The
lamb
curry
seemed
a
bit
overpriced
at
€18,
but
since
we
had
a
voucher
book
with
us,
one
of
the
main
courses
was
free.
And
what
can
I
say:
the
lamb
curry
was
amazing!
The
meat
was
tender
and
lean,
the
sauce
was
delicious
and
flavored
with
fresh
ginger.
There's
no
better
way
to
prepare
lamb
curry.
Both
dishes
are
served
with
fluffy
rice
and
homemade
flatbread.
The
rating
refers
exclusively
to
Indian
cuisine.
