Location is excellent. Easy access. Perfectly situated for strolls along the Rhine or for exploring the city. Outside and inside parking is not state of the art - modern cars would not fit into the tiny spaces. No elevator from the parking garage to the hotel. Hall, lift etc have the charme of the 1950s. Outside you see broken boxes etc. Missing attention for detail. Cleaning could be more thorough. Nice, spacious room (deluxe) with a very beautiful view on the river. The renovation was not very thorough - the 1950s still shine through. Missing attention for details - no vanity accessories, shoetree. Tv reception (internet) weak. Stained linens. Breakfast was below expectations. Bread (Brötchen, Baguette, mini croissant) was tasteless, juice not fresh, no selection of fruits, bare minimum of cold cuts. Poor selection of cooked meals (scrambled eggs and bacon). One meagre cake. Tables outside were (beautiful terrace!) dirty - had to change my pants afterwards. Restaurant: Although I phoned twice in advance, asked the chef waiter and the reception, it was not possible to book a special table. We were seated in second row. Other than that food was nice - good selection of wines (except for the German red wine). Attentive, caring staff.

Would definitely stay here again. The location is amazing, just next to the river and 10 minutes walk from the center. The room was clean and well equipped, especially the bathroom. Breakfast offers everything from scrambled eggs to banana bread, they offer oat milk and lactose free milk too. The community spaces are also nice.

The good: nice view in riverside rooms. Clean and tidy. Good location in town. The bad: some noise of course little, from other rooms. Slipper and toothbrush only on request. Overall: recomended

Great hotel in a handy location to visit the old town of Bonn on foot. The staff is very friendly and we got a warm welcome at the reception. The roomservice food came rather quickly and was nice. The breakfast area is lovely with an amazing terras and view on the Rhine. Just take into account that the parking space underneath the hotel is not included with the price of your room. Cleanliness overall was very good, with some minor improvements that could've been made in the rooms. I recommend this hotel is you wanna visit Bonn on foot!

Have a great stay here… unfortunately, I hope the internet connection could be more stable and reliable. It crashes several times at night and difficult.

Great location near the old town of Bonn and next to the Rhein. Rooms comfortable and clean. It would have felt more clean if the walls would be repainted. Some reception staff need training and be more polite with guests

Good location but the rooms were pretty mediocre and poorly maintained the real draw back if this hotel was the service. We were told we could not get clean sheets as nobody was staffed in the evening from housekeeping and reception didn’t have access to sheets.

Easily a 5 star service with staff speaking good english, very professional, nice and helpful. The room was spacious and tidy, but nothing unusual. The hotel is far from important places, but has a beautiful riverside patio.

It was 'OK' but I expected more. We booked a standard room and got a room on the ground floor overlooking the entry of the hotel. So we went back to the reception for an upgrade to a riverside room. The extra charge was higher than the online surcharge. Just a few euro's, but still... In addition, it was not mentioned that the minibar was included in this rate. Not that we would have completely emptied the minibar, but it would have justified the extra charge because other than the view these Comfort rooms are nothing special. Same for the breakfast: this was pretty standard and for €17 I expected more. For example ordered eggs, some luxury products (e.g. salmon) and at least better coffee. There is a professional coffee maker behind the counter, but instead guests need to get it from a machine, which tasted accordingly. Maybe due to a lack of staff, also because there was only one person doing the check-out which caused quite a queue. All in all it was pretty expensive and the price did not justify the quality.

Location is perfect, a short pleasant walk from the centre of town and along the river. The hotel tries to be something it does not quite achieve. The rooms are small and if you want to spend time in your room for anything other than sleeping, I suggest you spend just a little more and get the junior suite, just for the size, which the only difference really. There is free minibar included, but it's basic and not worth more than €10 of drinks and snacks, by my estimate. There is a pillow menu and you just have to direct dial reception to get your pillow of choice. There was however no telephone in the room to call them on and you only have until 10pm to do that. I didn't test the pillows before then so tried to sleep with a bad pillow. The breakfast is the most basic I have ever experienced in Germany and I have travelled a lot. I didn't enjoy anything in the tiny breakfast buffet and would never pay thst exorbitant price for such a cheap and basic selection again. Go elsewhere for breakfast if you have the time. Make sure to park your car at the roundabout at the front door to the hotel, check in and take your luggage upstairs as if you go directly to the car park and then take your suitcases out there instead, you will have to carry your luggage up 3 flights of stairs to get to ground level and the entry of the hotel. There is no elevator in the car park but 2 tiny charming ones in the hotel thankfully. You have to walk down many steps to the restaurant, so it's not suitable for the older generation but it feels like that is the target market for the hotel. They do try to market themselves as a top hotel, but they don't achieve. It is pleasant enough, but far too expensive for what it is in the end.

Great location right beside the Rhine river. Just a few minutes walk to the city center and shopping area. The beds are comfortable and, just an FYI, the pillows are very soft.

A lovely hotel perfectly located to shopping, restaurants and bars. The complimentary breakfast buffet is fantastic, with plenty of variety and great coffee. The standard room is stylish, comfortable and has plenty of closet space.

The hotel is nice, right at the river bank with beautiful view, breakfast was lovely and staff friendly. The only thing is that they don't clean their rooms properly. I came to my room and there was such a mess under the bed visible from the table, I hoped they would clean it next day as I checked in quite late... But they didn't...

Great hotel and location but food and drink over priced

The Ameron Hotel Königshof in Bonn is a good Four Star hotel in a great location. The elevators have a little door to open, before being able to enter the elevator (a little intimidating at first, but fine once you get used to it!). The breakfast buffet is alright, and the room is comfortable! Positives: •Good Hotel •Comfortable Rooms •Good breakfast •Bike friendly! Negatives: •No drinks/snacks in the mini fridge -> just a card saying that there is a “snack bar full of snacks and drinks waiting for you in the reception”… this was inaccurate as the reception only had some juice and water. •The hairdryer kept shutting off after not even a minute of use

Great location, but average room and breakfast. The good: - great location, just next to the Rhein river and a few minutes walk form the city center - quiet location (quiet nights) The improvable: - our room was not in good condition: broken door handle, loose cabinet door, missing pieces in the bathroom, shower that doesn't close properly ... - water takes about 3/4 minutes to get hot (not pleasant when taking your shower...). We called the reception and they said it's normal because it's an old building. - breakfast buffet was average compared to other Ameron hotels. Not much choice

The hotel is located right by the Rhein and has a lovely terrace and deck to enjoy the sunshine. However the rooms were very dusty/dirty and they did not have most of the wines on their menu.

Hotel staff were really nice and prompt. I didn't really like the breakfast buffet. There was no vegetable in sight. But overall it was ok. The hotel is a bit overpriced in my opinion. Not worth 219€ for a night stay. The stuffed chicken from the restaurant was fantastic
