The positives would definitely be that the doctor's are generally really good and helpful - some will even spend more time with you than the standard time-frame if they see you need it. The negatives are that the service the doctors provide is often ruined by the rude admin staff. Many of them are really gruff and pushy, don't listen to you, no empathy, and they never take ownership for their mistakes - really ruins the otherwise great service,

We struggled to get a GP to see us (as my 1 year old was having a high fever for a few days). We were recommended Vermont Health Care by a friend and was told that it had a 'respiratory clinic' which meant we could finally get seen by a doctor! Dr Emily was so wonderful with our daughter she knew within minutes why our daughter was so unwell. Dr Emily was thorough, patient and caring and are happy to recommend Vermont Health Care.

Best clinic in the area, I have continued to use Vermont Health Care even when moving away from the area for myself and my child. Caring and competent Doctors and nurses make this clinic stand out from many others in the area. I am moving even further away and still plan to use this clinic because they care and its always a pleasure.

Very unprofessional. My appt time was at 4.30 pm . After waiting for 40 mins I asked the receptionist I am still waiting. It should be quicker in covid time instead of waiting with others near reception. She stated she forgot to tell the doctor and strange the Doctor is also waiting 40 mins for patient to come in ! Absolutely no sorry or anything!

Struggled to find a good doctor at other clinics. DR Friend is lovely, LGBTQIA friendly, and all round treats clients with total care and support not only physical but mental health too. Highly recommend.

I have visited this clinic couple of times and the doctors are very good but most of the front desk staff are pushy and somewhat rude. For new patient registration they asked for a driver’s licence although the Medicare card was shown to them, I explicitly asked her that no other health care provider has ever asked for a photo ID but she didn’t listen. On another occasion, my son was having throat infection and I tried booking appointment through Hotdoc app and it didn’t let me do that because I was answering yes to the throat and flu question, a message was shown by app to call reception for booking. I called reception (she was very nice) and appointment was booked. When we went there, there was another lady and I told her that we have appointment with doctor. She asked “Is your son having sour throat or flu like symptoms” I said yes, and she replied that “Then you haven’t answered the questions honestly”. I was very angry and told her that I tried booking through app and as I answered honestly that’s why the app wasn’t allowing me to book, so I have called and booked by telling your colleague. She then confirmed with her colleague and said OK (without any remorse).

Had a chest pain and tightness,being a regular patient there for over 12 yrs,asked if they can arrange an ECG. The front desk staff replied "All Drs and nurses having lunch.Come back next Tuesday !!!!! That's after 7 days""Unbelievable 😳🙄🤔

This is one of the best medical surgeries I have been to. After my GP of 40 years retired we had trouble finding a good family doctor for my husband and 2 young children, but Dr Heng, along with all of his staff are fabulous. The online booking system is great and unless it's an unusually busy day, there are generally enough GPs working that we can always get an appointment. They have also squeezed my very sick 4 year old in on 2 occasions when they have been technically booked out at the end of the day. I can't recommend this clinic highly enough.

Great service, some good, great and fantastic doctors

I usually only have one doctor I attend at this Clinic and he is retiring soon ... so sad, but so glad for him! The Clinic has been our family clinic for some 20 years and over that time the faces have not changed much - that says there is a good work culture and the care is not just for each other, but for the patients they see. Covid has brought its challenges and stresses, however I feel the staff have responded graciously. I can recommend this clinic!

Until going to this clinic I had little faith in GP's. I've now seen several different doctors here and they have all been super accommodating, knowledgeable and professional. Even though I live 30 minutes away now I still make the drive down because the care here is that good. The reception staff are also always very friendly. I highly recommend this clinic!

Mum is safe, well looked after and loves living here. Staff are absolutely delightful and caring. They email or call me with any concerns or updates at all times. They are also very approachable and communicative. Thanks to VAC for taking the pressure of me doing a job myself and family can’t do!

I've been seeing Dr. Eva for over a decade now, and when my kids came along, I started bringing them to her as well. She consistently provides excellent care, taking the time to listen attentively to our needs. I would highly recommend her.

Visited surgery for COVID booster shot. Minimal waiting time, nurse Bec was very friendly and professional. Hardly felt needle jab at all. Stress-free experience!

Dr.Eva Leung is an excellent GP. My son had a small wart in his foot but it got worse when another doctor treated him with Nitrogen at another clinic. However, Dr.Eva Leung solved this issue with her excellent treatments without any pain. I'm very thankful for that. She's very caring and experienced.

The booking system is good and administrative staff are friendly and effective. All staff seem fairly happy to work there. The two doctors that have treated me at this clinic have been well above average, good communicators and honest.

I was recommended this clinic by a friend. I was incredibly impressed by the service of Vermont Health Care. All admin teams were kind and professional. Dr Friend, was wonderfully kind, respectful and very good at explaining all avenues of health. I would recommend to anyone.

As always, excellent service. This was a telehealth appointment with new GP, Dr Boyd. He was compassionate, helpful and very knowledgeable. Very pleased with the level of care.

Dr. Harris is absolutely incredible, and I simply cannot overstate that fact. I’ve been seeing her since she started at the clinic. She is very communicative regarding her thought process and reasoning for ordering tests or prescribing any medications, and will always communicate realistic expectations or any possible negative side effects or outcomes. Her bedside manner is also fantastic - she always listens to any worries, concerns, or questions you might have and does her best to answer/reassure/validate as necessary. Very thorough and always pays amazing attention to detail - if she doesn’t know the answer to something right away she will to research or reach out to colleagues in order to find out. Having had some negative experiences in the past with some doctors (both GPs and specialists) minimizing my concerns regarding my health, Dr. Harris has been a breath of fresh air. She has guided me through diagnosis and treatment for several major health concerns and I cannot imagine having gotten through each of them without her knowledge and support. I have recommended her to several friends and family members and would absolutely recommend her for anyone else - especially for women who may have also had previous negative experiences with the medical system. (I also have family members who see both Dr. Ardley and Dr. Friend and say similar things about them, I just can’t personally speak to it as I haven’t seen them myself. I do hope, however, that this is representative of the culture throughout the practice, as it has truly helped rebuild my confidence and trust in doctors, and in the medical system more broadly.)

All staff and Doctors were extremely helpful and nice. I have attended this Clinic for approximately 20 years, and have always found it the same as today. A big thank you to all.

I have been seeing Dr. Andrew Edwards as my doctor for over 35 years and have continued to go to him now he has shifted from his clinic in Burwood South to Vermont Health Care. I have found this a smooth transition with the actual distance to travel being less and I have continued to receive Dr. Edwards excellent service catering to my overall health needs. The girls on the front desk have been pleasant to communicate with and the clinic offers me having the same situation I previously had in using another doctor should Dr.Edwards be unavailable. Overall, I have been very satisfied with the Health Care I have been receiving since moving to Vermont Health Care. I was sorry to hear that Dr. Edwards will be retiring late April 2024, but I feel confident that I'll be able to transition to one of the other doctors at Vermont Health.
