They now charge for appointments for anyone over 16 years old. The center used to be good, but since covid it has gone down hill. The reception staff don't seem to have any compassion, even sending an over 80 year old man away because he didn't have a pension card or a credit card to pay and they wouldn't accept his cash. Honestly it disgusted me. They do not answer the phone! Iv waited on hold for 3 hours, no joke. I got told to call to see if results in, not to just make an appointment but I can't get through, it's very distressing. I'd avoid it like anything.

From the unfriendly rude receptionist to the “doctor “ B. B who is ignorant, rude, unpleasant, impolite man, with questionable medical knowledge. The whole place should be closed down

Heartless and Profit-Driven: A Dreadful Lack of Empathy and Patient Care, Will never go back there again. The doctors at this Seymour medical centre (If I can even call it that) were shockingly indifferent, dismissive and seemed more interested in maximizing their earnings than addressing patients' concerns. They rushed through our appointment, displaying a complete disregard for listening to our medical history or understanding our specific health issue. It felt like they were solely focused on pushing us out the door to accommodate as many patients as possible, prioritizing their financial gains over genuine patient care. I don't request any special treatment, All I wanted was for someone to listen as we have a family medical history that may be related to the issue but the doctor didn't bother spending a couple of extra seconds to listen. This experience left me deeply disappointed and concerned about the quality of care at this facility, I will never go back there again.

it's now been 2 hours since my phone rang from their number for 1 second, missed call great (not). I called back and asked them to get the dr to call me back, its now been just over 2 hours since i made that call and nothing. I have a broken heel and need my medication, which is why i made the appointment. they may be short staffed but what happened to the good old days where admin would actually go and give their doctors the message! GET IT TOGETHER please, your patients need you !

No empathy, no care, no kindness, truly disappointing experience. Our appointment was at 6pm, we arrived on time but the receptionist was on a call, we waited infront of the window and he called us just a few min after 6pm, took our details and asked to wait for our Dr. We waited 45 min , the Dr came out and told us that she has to leave and will not see us because we came late, "at 6.08 and appointment only runs for 10 min". I tried to explain that the receptionist was on a call and booked us a few min late due to this. The Dr said we were late and she had to take someone else during this time , turned her back on us and left us standing, we were lost for words for a few seconds. Me and my 15yo honestly cried all the way home, we loved this Dr and got realIy hurt by today's experience .I ran to the appointment after work, arrived on time, waited 45 min (not a single time the Dr or Receptionist approached us to advise that the Dr will not see us today)...what else could have we done differently so my 15yo could receive medical advice? Very upsetting experience, we were customers for years, will not be coming back after today. After returning home we booked a new appointment at another clinic. Update: no contact was made to understand our situation, not a call, no suggestion to assist with rebooking an appointment for another day, no question asked if we received medical support we came for but got the door shut infront of our faces on the day of the visit. No care. As everyone can see review replies are only offered to 4 and 5 starts. Even bigger disappointment.

I have been going to this medical centre for years but after my last experience there, i will no longer come here again. I saw Dr Muhaddisa Ghulam Ali to get some tests done, everything went well and i payed the $67 fee. A couple days later i received a phone call from Dr Muhaddisa regarding my results. The conversation was less than 5 minutes… 1 hour later i receive a text message and see she has tried to charge me another $67 fee for the phone call. Absolutely ridiculous. i called the reception, told them my situation and they said they would try to put me through so i could speak with her and ask about it. She didn’t answer the phone but went to the receptionist and told them she will wave the bill this time and (bulk bill) but i am then told i am not to see her again. She is now refusing to see me because i challenged the bill she unfairly tried to charge me. So just be careful and don’t be afraid to speak up if you think something isn’t right!

Found everyone very helpful. Have been able to get my xrays and ultrasounds all done in a speedy manner. Also the nurse, Bethany, was very gentle and caring when we had to get out vaccinations. Such a sweet young lady you have there!.

I'm only giving 2 stars because booking appointments takes 1 hour just to speak to someone from reception. When u come in for appointment you still have to wait for long time just to see a doctor. The services was better before but now it's horrible 😫

I’ve been attending Seymour street medical for years now, there were great during both my pregnancies and extremely supportive. I find it hard to get a good doctor to understand my needs but I’ve seen multiple doctors here and never had a problem. There is a nurse (Bethany) who is always there when I take my kids for their injections, she’s extremely kind and comforting and absolutely amazing with children. I couldn’t recommend a better clinic.

I am saddened by the lack of compassion & care shown by the receptionists here. It causes me great distress & anxiety every appointment. The phone is answered very rarely & you can be on hold for hours literally. Other issues they now have are they refuse to bulk bill anyone who isn't on a government concession. My gp is the total opposite to the receptionist he care is amazing. The only reason l continue to attend this clinic is due to his care. I no recommend this clinic to anybody. As a nurse myself l know how important compassion & care is to a patients well being.

Terrible Healthcare Service. If you value your health, DO NOT GO HERE. DOCTOR USED GOOGLE FOR DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT. I am appalled by the medical healthcare at this clinic. On my first visit I specifically booked a general consultation with a female doctor. When I eventually went in to see Dr Atiya Khalid, it was not her instead it was a male doctor named Dr Shahed Alam. I was disappointed because I had female issues that needed to be seen too. I told him that I booked a female doctor and immediately he refused to see me. I was not rude to him but shocked. I said that it was ok and I am happy for him to proceed but he was very rude and dismissed me and kicked me out of his room. I then went to receptionist and she arranged for another doctor to see me and her name was Dr Priya Kalatharan. I ended waiting another hour to see her. Once in the appointment I explained my problems and she stopped me and said that she can only treat 2 of my issues and that I will need to come back another day because I only booked a standard appointment and I needed to book and extended consultation. Unbelievable, my issue was only going to take a few more minutes. So I had to come back. Before I left I needed to have a test but instead of the doctor doing the examination and taking the test she gave me a quick tutorial in how how do the test myself and gave me the required testing equipment. Seriously, I go to see a doctor but I have to do the work. I am not qualified and not just that she told me to do the test in the restroom. I was concerned that the testing apparatus would get contaminated. It was not a urine test. When I came back the following week, firstly waited over 1.5 hours on a Sunday when I had a booked and confirmed appointment. How can anyone manage their day and other commitments with this kind of wait time. The receptionist was rude and disrespectful and worse of all the doctor, Dr Subrata Saha was angry at me for booking a double appointment. Anyway, I firstly had to ask about my results from my previous appointment and he had to google what the abbreviation meant and once he knew what that stood for he googled the diagnosis and treatment. I mean really, google. I can do that myself but I would never trust google when I comes to my health. He used google to see what medication to prescribe. Anyway, I purchased the medication and after the first dose I was very sick. Never going back to that clinic. To anyone reading this, if you value your health, DO NOT GO TO SEYMOUR STREET MEDICAL CLINIC. If I could give a zero or negative star rating I would.

You now get charged to receive blood test results which was always free. You now pay for your appointment to get the referrals and for your results. It has always been you only pay for your referral. You also will not be contacted when your results arrive. You have to call to make an appointment to make them give you your results. The service has just gone downhill at this clinic.

My regular dentist is Gina Kang, she is very knowledgeable and always is happy to explain the causes of my tooth pain. She has been the best dentist that I had since moving to Australia. She is a caring and professional dentist and does an excellent job. I wouldn’t trust anyone else but her to take care of my teeth.

I can't say I've had outstanding experiences with the doctor but the nurse there was great. She was more than happy to answer my questions and didn't make me feel like a nuisance. She was patient, kind, explained things in a way that was reassuring to me, and encouraged me to ask questions if I wasn't sure of things. So, if you are seeing a nurse there, look for Bethany, best nurse ever.

Good that they bulk bill, closer location - only positives. shocking wait times with or without an appointment, rude reception and they never answer the phone, good if you just need something minor checked, my 5 year old waited 3 hours for a wound to be glued as only 1 doctor knew how to do stitches (didn’t need stitches). Pharmacy staff are lovely!! But that’s a different business.

Doctors are good, but the reception staff need to be trained to talk to their customers with better care and discretion. Staff member was repeating the customers name, date of birth and home address loud enough for the entire waiting room to hear. The same person was also talking to a customer at the back of the room re. Their medical condition from the front desk because she didn't want to stand up and walk over to them. Unnerving.

Upon walking in for a booked appointment, Monday 5th September, receptionist was telling people to wear a mask ( understand completely ) however if you wish for patients to follow the rules. Perhaps your staff on reception who had a mask on, it was under her chin, how do you expect people to obey these rules when your own staff aren't adhering to them.

The services that my wife receive from Seymour Street Medical & Dental Centre Ringwood is excellent. Dr Philip Hammond and the staff are friendly and ensure that my wife is properly informed about her health and care. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. HIGHLY recommend.

Reception staff were friendly, doctors are great. Unfortunately I was double charged, the second payment sitting on pending for a week now! A simple 'cancel transaction' would be great. I was also not told that I'd be charged twice - or that one would sit pending. Has messed with my bank this whole week, caused lots of stress

Dr Mary is always kind and caring and genuinely interested in your well-being. Wait time was a bit longer than normal today but as Dr Mary is thorough and never rushes patients, I don't mind. I'd rather wait than feel like I'm just a number.

Morning shift medical receptionist are highly respectful and super helpful. Clinic environment so clean and tidy. Great pathology team members and have a great communication with patients. However it depends which GP you choose, some of the GPs doesn’t have nice behaviour but I got wonderful experience with my GP I choose at this clinic

Brought my Dad who has diabetes, with the hope of finding good GP for the long term. Dr Wong however, displayed terrible professionalism. From the start to the end he didnt ask WHAT WE WANT (which is simply a script for metformin), and start to order a whole bunch of blood test without any explanation. I understand for new patients baselines need to be known etc. but can this Dr at least inform your patients. Also no questions were allowed - Dad's hearing always been meh and he just wants to clarify a thing or two during the consultation and Dr Wong was extremely impatient and tell him to stop talking and listen to him as if an controlling adult to their kids. This is simply terrible.

My appointment was for 8/11/22 however when I got to the clinic I was informed that a voicemail had been left on my phone some days before to indicate the Dr was on leave and could not attend. Unfortunately I have hearing problems and could not make out what the message was about as the caller spoke very rapidly. A slower more deliberate delivery would be appreciated. However I have been given another appointment date

I've been going to this clinic for Years and wasn't aware of the change in appointment styles. Hugo at the front counter was very empathic and did his best to try and find me an appointment at short notice. Dr MARWAHA was very help and accommodating. Both turned a potentially wasted trip to the doctor to a very good one. Thanks guys!

Dr Alam is great! He takes time to listen and understand the issue. He is very helpful in the advice and treatment he provides, and reassuring if there is nothing to be done. Bookings and payments are a little clunky at times, and it's uncomfortable that patients are required to "pay up front" before they have even had a consultation - it makes you feel like they don't trust you. But we are very happy here with Dr Alam, and we moved recently from another clinic after 20 years there, due to them having too much turnover of doctors. Seymour Street seems to be very stable.

As a new patient it was very easy to book an appointment on line. On arriving at the Medical Centre I was delighted by the professional and caring service provided, firstly by the lady at reception and then by the Doctor. Thank you very much.

Never again. I saw a Doctor for the briefest time. Under two minutes. Obviously not interested in being a thorough doctor. No vitals done. Disgusting service all round the receptionist was rude and could not have cared less about anyone. Being a nurse this will be the last time I visit here.

  • 1/5 lexie c. 10 months ago on Google
Waited for an hour for my appointment. Noticed two different patients who came a lot later than me (at least 30 minutes later than me) were taken in. They must have known the doctor because I heard them chat and I happened to know their language too. Please respect the booking system even if you know the patients personally.

Have seen Dr. Mary many times and i have found her attention to detail and overall care is excellent. She loves her work and is very passionate. Also in recent times I have had to visit the dentist at the same clinic and Dr. June was fantastic. Again, her attention to detail and overall care was great.

Dr. Subrata Saha has a poor bedside manner - avoid him if there are other options available. I won't be seeing him again even if there are no other doctors that day. Also, I see a number of negative reviews about the receptionist(s) on evenings/weekends. This has not been my experience as the receptionists during my evening/weekend visits have been polite, professional and even empathetic.

  • 1/5 Yasaman R. 1 year ago on Google
The irresponsible staff, who seem indifferent to wasting patients' time, have caused me significant inconvenience. Despite making three visits for a pathology referral, I'm still awaiting a call to inform me of its readiness.

Good clinic, but I think there should be a focus on the GP's end about how to improve one's diet to improve the patient's condition, something I don't see being talked about by GPs until you ask them about it.

All the staff at Seymour Street Medical and all the other departments in house are all very welcoming and professional. I have never had a bad experience there and I would recommend this clinic to all. Yes they do bulk bill if you have the appropriate cards. You can also book on the ForHealth app and find the information for who can get bulk billed.

I waiting an hour and 50 minutes for a telehealth appointment. After I called reception three times, they informed me that they had been calling an incorrect number. It was a disappointing experience as my previous experiences seeing doctors at the clinic had been positive.

I called the medical number and it put me on hold for 25 minutes. keep saying the message you are on queue and the next available operator will be with you shortly. I then decided to take my wife to the clinic while being on the phone on blue tooth, still on hold and next available operator will be with you shortly. I reached inside the clinic while on phone and I saw both reception staff a male and a female having a chat and laugh they don't want to answer the phone. When my family is sick and wanting to see the doctor these reception staff won't answer the phone and having a chat and laugh. This is how they treat the patients. Don't visit this centre better go somewhere else.
