My
experience
attending
the
Priority
Primary
Care
Clinic
on
Wednesday
14
February
2024
was
bizarre
and
demeaning.
(Also,
an
aside:
Why
is
the
only
means
of
providing
feedback
turn
out
to
be
in
a
public
way?
That's
doesn't
seem
appropriate
for
health
care
services
to
me.
It
feels
like
any
criticism
is
being
strongly
discouraged.)
The
problem
wasn't
the
medical
staff.
The
GP
I
saw
was
perfectly
reasonable
and
gave
appropriate
treatment.
BUT
the
way
the
receptionist
treated
me
was
appalling.
First,
I
had
to
wait
outside
the
locked
door
of
the
clinic
for
ten
minutes.
You
are
meant
to
buzz
the
intercomm
if
arriving
after
8pm.
But
no
one
answered
the
intercomm.
When
I
looked
in
through
the
glass
doors
for
the
second
time,
to
try
and
catch
someone's
eye,
the
receptionist
gestured
to
me
that
she
was
on
the
phone.
And
apparently
I
had
to
wait
for
her
to
finish
before
she
was
going
to
press
the
button
to
open
the
door.
It
is
not
like
she
even
spoke
to
me
on
the
intercomm
before
she
finally
did
let
me
in.
Then
I
was
challenged
and
judged
by
her.
After
asking
when
my
symptoms
first
started,
she
says
I
should
really
have
gone
to
see
a
GP
at
some
point
before
this
time
-
as
if
she
was
qualified
to
comment.
Even
if
there
weren't
a
dozen
good
reasons
why
I
hadn't
or
couldn't,
it
was
irrelevant
at
this
time;
an
unhelpful
and
pointless
rude
remark.
I
bit
my
tongue
and
waited
for
her
to
give
instruction
or
ask
a
question.
Then,
though
I
didn't
have
cold
or
flu
like
symptoms
I
was
forced
to
take
a
COVID
test
outside.
Well,
she
said
I
could
go
sit
in
my
car.
I
twice
had
to
tell
her
I
didn't
come
by
car
and
I
didn't
have
a
vehicle
to
go
and
sit
in.
Then
I
realised
that
she
had
heard
me,
she
simply
did
not
care.
The
ridiculous
thing
is
that
there
were
2
other
patients
in
the
place,
and
a
hundred
empty
chairs;
surely
there
was
an
alternative
place
to
perform
this
test
at
least?
But
no,
I
had
to
do
a
RAT,
outside
where
the
only
surface
I
had
to
place
the
test
on
was
the
asphalt
footpath.
And
she
told
me
that
if
it
was
positive,
(it
wasn't)
there
would
be
"really
nothing
we
can
do."
She
REALLY
wanted
to
send
me
away
for
some
reason,
it
seemed.
Dizzy
and
tired,
I
had
to
sit
down
on
the
footpath,
locked
outside,
to
perform
and
wait
15
minutes
for
the
test
to
develop
and
be
confirmed
as
negative.
While
I
waited,
another
patient
arrived
and
was
made
to
disclose
her
symptoms
via
the
intercomm
before
she
was
let
in,
which
seemed
entirely
inappropriate.
Until
recently,
there
was
a
fantastic
service
providing
a
free
consulting
nurse
weeknight
evenings
in
the
local
area
not
far
from
there.
But
it
was
defunded
and
stopped
since
this
PPCC
clinic
opened.
But
I
will
never
going
back
to
this
PPCC.
