Finally found a place that serves food as good as I used to have it in Wales! We had the chicken in buttermilk as starters and it was wow! Not to talk about my large portion of beef lasagne and garlic bread for quite a good price too. My partner loved his ultimate beef burger (he couldn't finish it 😂). I saw a play area outside (so definitely kids friendly). I'm definitely coming back!

A late decision to go for food. Beth ordered prawn cocktail and it came with bread with seeds and as she as a nut allergy we had to send it back but was done without fuss and very quickly. Food great.. staff even better. All staff looked happy. Had banter with bar staff and we had a chuckle. Keep it up. This is my complaint..so.

The food was great and the service was exceptional. We were particularly well served by the waitress Tess who went out of her way to make our experience memorable - we had relatives visiting from Canada and as well as being attentive and efficient she offered to take group photographs and made us all smile. Overall the experience was perfect.

The food was good for chain restaurants. There is playground for children Asa big family (10 + children). We always choose to go to Chain Bridge as family do night out.

Everywhere was clean and welcoming. We were greeted straight away and shown to our table. Bar staff were friendly and efficient. Food arrived not too long after we ordered, was hot, looked appetising and tasted good. My husband had a mixed grill and the steak was a bit well done for his liking (asked for rare but was more medium) and the pork was a bit overdone but not inedible. Overall a pleasant experience. We do go there regularly and will continue to do so.

Easily the worse food I've ever had to pay for and the service wasn't anything to be proud of either. I waited over an hour for food and when it came out it was stone cold and the steak was SOLID. It hadn't been cooked as I asked either. The cut was completely fat and hard to eat. It looked like a piece of scrap. When my food came, the waiter called out a steak meal which no one had ordered, when my friend told him what he had actually ordered, another waitress came out with the kitchen ticket to tell my friend off for being wrong about his selection of food. My friend then showed the order on the app and he was indeed right. The waitress didn't offer an apology and just walked away. I had already asked for my trimming sauce but that didn't come out until i had nearly finished my meal while another friend was served his peppercorn sauce 10 minutes before his meal came out! My trimming sauce was also spilled on my shirt by the waitress. When we waited for our food, we looked around the pub and nobody had any food on their table so I presume the kitchen must have had a meltdown. I will never return to this pub and I will only tell friends how bad it is.

Waited along time for our food. When it finally turned up the fish was dry and over cooked. Chips cold, beef burger very tough. Pizza was nice. Grey under cooked onion rings. Missed off a starter which we had to ask for and not even that busy, it was a Saturday early evening booking.Could do alot better guys.

Popped in to chain bridge tonight for a bite to eat, had the rib starter, margarita pizza, and spicy chicken pizza. Must say the food was spot on. It is a wood fired pizza, and the taste was one of the best we have had for a long time. So will be going back soon. Thank you, too, Ryan the chef for great food, and Ann, the manager for a great atmosphere.

Very good experience. Lunch. A friendly welcome from the landlord. Pleasant enough interior, very standard for this type of family pub. Had the £9.95 daily steak special which came with a drink. I wasn't expecting much and was very pleasantly surprised when presented with a good sized plate of correctly cooked rump steak,chips peas and mushrooms. Very tasty. Attentive staff. Exceptional value, i don't know how they can do it at this price. A good experience, we will return..

Highly recommend the chain bridge it is such a lovely family friendly atmosphere :) My little one was getting very hungry so they managed to get his main out with the starters so that he could enjoy his food instead of him waiting. I was seated by Toni who was very friendly and explained everything needed to know and our food was brought out by Kelly who was very polite and helpful with any requests . We had cheesy dough ball to starters which were to die for will definitely be coming back for them !!! steak for mains cooked lovely 😊 We also came for the amazing breakfast with Santa all the staff was very involved and made all the children so excited to see Santa 🎅 elf toni ,abi and shard was so helpful and Santa look brilliant and was so friendly . We also got a gift when meeting Santa of a selection box and a reuseable Christmas cup as a great keep sake to remind us of this experience ❤️

I thought the food was very expensive for the amount we got. Starter was lovely but main courses were rather small, chicken burger and bun were both very dry, no pizza dough left so couldn't have pizza. Menu just printed on paper in black and white, not very inspiring. Coffee was nice and beer was good. Service was fairly good, although felt like they were rushing us to close up by 9pm.

Very welcoming, Lovely food, Great service. Here for a five day holiday could of spent every evening in here for dinner and drinks. Pet friendly with lovely outside seating with play park. Topped of with a free birthday drink thank you Rachel. Would definitely recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Would not recommend at all. I’d give zero stars if that were an option. Ordered food and drinks from the app and waited about half an hour… We noticed some of the lights had gone off/been dimmed but didn’t think anything of it. Eventually we got sick of waiting to went to the bar to find out where out drinks and food were and we were told that there was no power so no orders could be processed. (It would have been nice if someone had come over to us before hand rather than another customer come to make us aware of it. We asked for a refund and we told they couldn’t process it at that time, but we’re assured that as soon as the electricity was on they would rectify this… we are still waiting for the refund 4 weeks on. We have chased the pub numerous times and been told it would be sorted and still hasn’t. The staff are extremely rude and not helpful and as for the manager… Diabolical and an absolute shambles of a pub.

Very easy to book online. Warm welcome ant the table was ready for us. Food very prompt hot fresh and tasty. Zero cider available. Service was very good. Dirty dishes taken by a waitress who was passing our table. Desert choice was good and soon arrived.

Went for a meal here tonight, the BBQ chicken wings were raw, then were told that this was not their fault as it arrives at the restaurant pre-cooked to which then they simply reheat them to serve. The mozzarella dough balls had little to no cheese and the loaded fries was not worth £8.50! With the mains, I had the mixed grill which I asked for medium rare, the steak was more rare. The out front service was disappointing, not supplying cutlery, had to take the starter back as it was incomplete. Overall not very good experience and won’t be comming back.

Worst meal ever, rock hard burnt burgers, un chewable steak and moldy tomatoes. Totally ruin new years eve, after being a chef for over 30years I wouldn't serve this food to my dog. Catering team need to go back to culinary school, that's if you have actually been, but looking at the food I'm guessing not.

Food was not good, meat was very dry. Sausages in mixed grill were not eatable, were rock hard! Chicken was drier than an area I'd rather not specify! Steak was very well done not medium as asked. Kids pasta was rock hard, baby not able to eat it. Waitress needs to learn customer service skills and how to open her mouth when speaking and not mumble! Service was very slow not impressed. Very disappointed as family meal for new year following 4hr drive

My partner and I had a excellent meal at The Chain Bridge, the staff Louise, Sue & Rachael were wonderful, we were greeted, seated and fed well, the table was cleaned prior to us being seated, my partner noticed that a new cleaning cloth was used on our table which was nice. The food was fresh hot and a good portion size, the team were friendly, professional and attentive. We also noted how clean the place was and there wasn't any smell of cooking in the air, a big Thank you to the kitchen staff for the very enjoyable meal.

Amazing. Food was so good and they went extra mile for my sons birthday to fetch out cake for him. Good play area for the kids and such a nice, relaxing vibe. We will definitely be back!

We have visited here a few times and the service is always very good along with the food. Staff are always very helpful and friendly, they really go out of their way to help. Lovely choice of food on the menu.

We've been to the Chain Bridge three or four times over the last few months and have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly and professional. The food is always great with decent sized portions. I'm actually dieting at the moment so having calorie counts on the menu is helpful. I love that you can get skinny versions of meals too. This time I had a skinny pizza and it was a perfect meal for me. I got a half sized pizza and a bowl of salad which was plenty, delicious and very filling. My husband had a full sized pizza and was also impressed. I love that the salads are always beautifully fresh and crisp. I also love that I can use my Blue Light Card here. It means that we can eat out more often and share the experience with our family. This visit we bought our son and his partner with us. Both had burgers and said that they were really good. We were all full and couldn't manage desserts this time. The only small niggle was that the coffee machine was broken and we couldn't have a cappuccino afterwards. All in all it was a great experience and we'll definitely be back. Thank you.

Have visited a few times recently - fantastic service each time. Staff are friendly, and check in occasionally during meals and not constantly, which is nice! Always prompt if asked for something for the table. Food tastes great and have great portions. Can be a little pricey, but for the portions you get and the 'buy one get one' on the main dishes just makes it absolutely worth it. There's always a deal or offer, so take note of what and when they are. Desserts are always presented in a very aesthetically pleasing way, which isn't super important for some people, but really adds to your experience there. Make sure you book a table, especially if you've got a large number of people.

Always a great evening here , staff are welcoming and helpful with food advice and choices.. the atmosphere is a real family atmosphere where everyone is welcome. The food was served hot and quickly which is ideal for a quick stop as well as not being made to feel that you are rushed. Rachel and Sue were so friendly and really knew their products when asked which is exactly what we wanted when deciding what to eat.

The restaurant was clean and tidy when we walked in. It was relatively quite for a lunch time sitting but I didn’t see any tables waiting to be cleared and we were shown to a table quickly. The tables were spaced apart and we were made to feel welcome by all the staff who we met with throughout our visit. Our orders were taken efficiently and we were given a discounted price due to having a force’s discount membership. The meals were delivered quickly, they were hot and very tasty. In fact they were just as the menu described them. If we’d had more time we would have stayed longer and ordered from the dessert menu but I guess that means we will have to come back again in the near future. Thank you for a great service 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Friendly and polite staff. Food wasn't bad but pizza's could do with a bit more tomato base and cheese. Sandwiches and other food have good portion sizes and it's not too expensive.

Staff were very polite and helpful, food was fantastic, nice stake with little to no fat and cooked perfectly. It's the second time being here and both times we had surf and turf and both the stake was spot on. Very enjoyable food and nice atmosphere, would recommend th8s place and will definitely be coming back again.

The last time we came, the fries were very hard and we’d put off visiting again. We came last night and had loaded potato skins for our starter. Whilst they were nice, we could literally see the grease dripping out like they’re been dunked in a deep fat fryer. Then for our mains we had burger and fries. The fries were cooked to perfection and delicious! I had the bbq chicken burger and it was amazing! Possibly the best burger I’ve ever eaten! Service was also excellent with efficient friendly staff. Everywhere was also tidy and clean.

We often pop in this venue for early evening dinner as it is also dog friendly . Staff are always friendly and welcoming and the establishment spacious , bright and clean. Menu is typical of a fast food chain but we have always enjoyed what we have had. See you again soon.
