When we sat down, we thought that the food can't be that bad as the other reviews say. And boy, were we wrong. While it is edible, the food is far from good. The service personnel we had also didn't seem to care at all. The garlic soup was ok though, as we think it was an instant soup anyway.

Haute Cuisine it is not, but perfectly tasty food at very reasonable prices in a great location with friendly service. The duck breast looked nothing like the picture but was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The gravy was luscious. Wine was good and great value.

Drink prices are per 100ml but don’t tell you the quantity they serve you. ‘Dumplings’ were not dumplings and tasted poorly. Some chewy substance. That looked like porridge. Ribs were fair enough. Goulash was like a very plain and bland stew with no flavour. Overall very deceptive with pricing and very poor food quality. Would not recommend. It appears people only go there when everywhere else is closed.

Very rude staff, not sure if they behave the same way towards tourists as i’ve seen another review suggesting that. While ordering chops i asked if it’s beef as i browsed the menu quickly, he was a young waiter and he confirmed it is. Later i was serviced pork chops, which i discovered after noticing the odd taste. I approached another older waiter inquiring if it’s beef, he said no it’s pork and blamed me saying how chops can be beef!! I was later offered a steak, which was decent. While taking the bill, i tried to be friendly with the waiter explaining that chops can be made from different cuts. He then walked away ignoring the conversation.

Absolutely awful. Never expected someone to misunderstand the difference between mixed vegetables and salad when serving them with a main dish. You need to write salad in all your dishes as you're understanding of mixed vegetables is completely beyond your comprehension. And by the way salad should not just be lettuce with a cherry tomato or two. If a customer has to wait 45 minutes for a bill, is he still expected to pay the bill? Beer arrives faster than food. Food portioned are terribly small and all salad felt and looked like it was more than a day old. I can't be the only one, who had this awful experience. My 3 colleagues were with me too.

It's hard to see why they have less than 3 stars reviews. The prices are very decent, less than most other establishments nearby. The food and especially the chicken soup were very good ! Service was fine as well

Called in for lunch, a party of 5 tourists. Drinks and menus arrived no problem but once we had ordered the food took 50 minutes to arrive. After 30 minutes We saw the same food we had ordered , salad, beef, pork served to a table further down the patio and queried with that waiter where our food was as the people had taken their seats much longer after us and he dismissed us saying I don’t serve you. We then asked our waiter where our food was and he said ‘10 minutes’ . Almost immediately 2 pork dinners arrived and served. I suspect they were someone else’s order. The other three a salad, beef and chicken arrived as we were finishing ours. No apologies. However , the ‘baked potato’ turned out to be frozen wedges and the vegetables on the beef dinner was a salad, covered in beef gravy. The table next to us a family of four from Austria also had over 40 minutes wait before they were served food. Most shockingly however for a restaurant that claims ‘authentic cuisine’ the elderly owners arrived outside and started to unload produce from a car into a shopping trolley. The bags were Lidl and on the bottom of the trolly countless numbers of frozen chips, wedges and such. Some fresh produce, potatoes and salad but large bottles of own brand ketchup. Overall this was our worst dining experience in Bratislava. Poor food, rude service and poor value for money .

Really tasty food and the servings were big enough. This place was our first choice, randomly, when we arrived in Bratislava, but we also came back the next day to eat there :) So, if you wanna try an appetizing meal, like your grandma or mom does, I would recommend this place 100% 👍

It was a nice spot for some local food. It was affordable. The weather was nice, so we ate outside and it was very pleasant. There was a bit of a language gap, but the server worked with us to figure out what we wanted. We enjoyed the food.

Total scammers. Don't go there. If you are foreigner you will be scammed with the bill and the food as well. They added in the receipt additional purchase of "borax-ros" like a some kind of tax. Later I understand that this is not a tax but it's a good working practice to scam the clients with extra money. Shame on you

To be avoided! Never again. We waited 1 hour 15 minutes for one chicken breast with fries and one Gulash and a tiny salad! The Gulash contained five small pieces of meat and was literally swimming in the sauce. It was so little we had to go to another restaurant to eat again!!!! This is an awful restaurant, the service is awful! I paid 34€ for this!!!

Basic, tasty food, good value for money, poor service. Waiters are not smiling, you feel like you disturb them as you arrived and want to place an order. 2 meals + 2 beers €28

Great restaurant in Bratislava's Old Town, with excellent food and wine, friendly service, and a perfect spot to sit outside (even in December!) and have a meal or a cup of coffee and amazing danish for a snack. We visited this place several times over our weekend, and really enjoyed it each time.

Bad food , too much weird sauce and extremely expensive, it is an insult to the bratislavian cuisine, the old lady was rude, and last but not least we had to pay cash. It is the worst address in that wonderful town

The quality of food and service are terrible. Prices are quite high and it doesn’t mean that you get a good service. I tried salad, the taste was really very bad, the price was 12 euro.

the waiter recommended us gnocchi as an appetizer and I have to tell you that they tasted excellent. As for the main course, the waiter recommended us pork tenderloin with plums and duck with cabbage and dumpling . Everything was excellent except for the dumpling, which hardened after some time. Black Beer was tasty and the entire service was nice and polite

Spoke with a waitress, showed her on the menu what we wanted, she asks if we want anything else, then she pretends as if she doesn't understand English and walks away saying she will speak with someone else. 11 minutes later a waiter comes by and asks us if that's all we want and walks away. 5 minutes later he comes back and trolls us it will be 10 minutes to make the food and walks away. 20 minutes later came the food... It was "meh".

Terrible place to eat. Rude, RUDE!, waitress who has no idea about who ordered what. We had to order soup with our meal (“Sheep cheese gnocchi with bacon, dumplings with sour cabbage with bacon) for some unknown reason. While ordering beer, she forgot to mention that it was not draft, but bottled. Yeah and during the ordering she just walked away to lure guests in - we sure know why now! The meal was unflavored, probably heated in microwave and still cold. You can buy better “dumplings with sour cabbage and sheep cheese gnocchi” on some kind of festival and it will be better quality and better price. Or just go to school cantina. The reviews do not lie, please do not come here.

We had excellent food and drink and very good service with a super friendly server. It was reasonably priced. Our server helped us decide our food selections and walked us to the bathroom. She also helped us figure out a bus transfer with an app on her phone. The service could not have been nicer. This time of year is not crowded with a lot of tourists.

Excellent, authentic Slovak food at a very reasonable price for the location. The staff are lovely and very helpful. Very happy that we stumbled across this little gem, we came here with our teenage kids two days in a row. Highly recommended. Also a great place for people watching!

👍👍 The waitress had an amazing English and was able to help in everything. The menu was big, from traditional slovakian cuisines to vegetarian food, there was everything. 👍👍 We were a bit anxious that we might end up in a typical tourist trap but when we entered the place on a Friday night we found a lot of locals enjoying the venue. 🫤 It's a nice place and food is good but the waiter... He seemed to be annoyed and angry by our presence there, if I was alone I would just leave before ordering anything from person like that. Also he didn't deserve any tips but I left some (around 2.5€) and his reaction was that he was surprised how...
