On a rainy day, I went outside to explore Bratislava, i got quite drenched and cold that instead of walking back to my hostel, I chose a bookstore for a cup of coffee and randomly picked a book. Before I knew it, it was 8 pm and one of the workers told me that the place was getting closed. I did the same the next day as well and don't regret it all. The bookstore is co cozy, warm, clean, and full of options to read, even in English. The staff is very polite and helpful. Perfect place to read a book or work in their cafe, which serves great coffee. Would definitely recommend u coming here during a cold winter evening.

This place is amazing!! It is huge, has a cafe, and has a huge selection of English books!! It had chairs everywhere for places to read. The atmosphere is wonderful. If you're a book lover I highly recommend going here on your stop in Bratislava!

Besides the fact that this is the best bookstore Ive ever been to in Slovakia,it has café upstairs which is available for people who need to work as well. I was so shocked when I found out there is a table with the electric plugs for your charger,Ive never experienced anything similar in this country. I moved to this café every time when I needed to work on my thesis for a little longer and the university library was closing. Recommend to everyone who’s seeking for a comfortable place to work with the jazz playing.

Friendly staff (nobody talked to me or even tried to bother me). Cheap(I didn't buy anything). Clean toilets (I haven't used them). Good location (I think). Large selection of books in various languages (Slovak, ancient Slovak, modern Slovak). Escalator and lift between floors

A huge bookstore, probably the best in Bratislava, with books in many languages and really friendly and helpful staff. Also a nice coffee shop. Sometimes the prices are a little higher than RRP.

Its a two floor bookstore located in Obchodna street. I think it's the biggest store in the center of Bratislava. Great customer service from the staff. There is a nice atmosphere. Good music. There is a piano. If you play piano, you are welcome to play any song. You can find any book for adults and kids. Besides book in Slovak, there is English books and other languages. I love this place. There is comfortables place to sit down or lay down and read the books. There is coffee place where you can have coffee, smoothies and tea. Also there is cheese cakes. It's a great place to have a good time with friends or family. Dogs are welcome. It's a dog friendly place :)

I love their staff. Kindest workers in Bratislava. If I hear a mobbing to those people, I will protest this store.

The bookstore has a variety of english books and recent novels and in good prices. The cafeteria in the second floor is very cozy, calm and offers the possibility of huge working table for those who want to work as well. Just one drawback from my side is that apart from cakes there is no other option for eating.

Bookstore with a wide range of books to buy or read in the chairs. They have also a cafe in the upper level, where you can read a book while you drink a coffee. For tourists, you can find a section in the lower level with books in English. I enjoyed a lot!

It looked like library, many desks with chairs, where i can take some book and read it. Picking up my goods, that i ordered on internet was simple. I immediately found it. Only one bad point is nonfunctional escalator

Amazing place! enormous bookstore, with a section of english books at the entrance, so even if you're not slovak you can get something to read. I'm an exchange student here in Bratislava so that's great for me and so is the very nice café above. They have free and fast WiFi and really nice jasmin tea 🥰

Very good shop with rich selection of books and accessories and games. There is also a play corner for the little customers and nice sofa to sit and check if you are making good choice for your free time. Great Christmas atmosphere right now.

Great bookstore! When I travel, I like to purchase books by local authors, especially when it's my first time visiting a city, and often need to ask for recommendations when English isn't the local language. The staff here were actually delighted to help me (so much friendlier than many other places I asked!) and, even if the selection was small, there was a whole shelf of Slovak authors translated into English. The selection of original English language books was very good too! Highly recommend stopping here, an excellent store in Bratislava.

Always love to visit Martinus bookstore on Obchodna! Huge and spacious with sooo many books, you're bound to find what you're looking for. If you're having trouble finding the book you want, there are many helpful staff members you can ask for help. Their selection of books in English is huge as well and the prices are reasonable. I especially love the Foxford cafe on the first floor - they make the best vegan cappucchino with pea milk! I definitely recommend you to visit this place if you're a bookworm in Bratislava 📚

Amazing bookstore with a large selection in Czech, Slavak, and English. The coffee shop on the first floor also serves really good coffee.

👍👍 The waitress had an amazing English and was able to help in everything. The menu was big, from traditional slovakian cuisines to vegetarian food, there was everything. The prices were okay for the good quality of the meal. They had a home-made beer which was fantastic. The pub was lively and had a n...

😠 Ok place but don't order food here. Absolutely inedible and disgusting. They gave us an old and cold burger. After complaining they reheated it in the microwave.

👍 Is a traditional local place.. They make good beers and good food. They need more waiters... because the place is big and upstairs they have only 2 waiters.. The restaurant is clean... If you arrive in Bratislava...go there and drink a beer..
