Food 2, service 5, atmosphere 4, price 3. Total 3.5 I have experience with eating Pakistani and Indian food. I have also worked at an indian restaurant. My experience however comes from the EUA. I wanted to see what Salvador had to offer and was surprised to see that there is an indian restaurant here. I went the same day. The host was welcoming and the atmosphere was comfortable. The food however was a bit disappointing and doesn't do indian food justice, the tikka masala , briyani, and garlic bread were all lacking in flavor. The food was also overpriced, but I imagine the price tag of the service was included. Still, it was not the best value. It was an interesting first time experience for me, but I would not repeat it.

Absolutely fantastic. Trust me when I say this place is the best. Vishnu and his crew have done an amazing job. The Platas Principals have a bit of everything. I wish he would open a restaurant in BH. If you are near Salvador and don't eat here you are making an error. Best food in the country.

Finding healthy, tasty vegetarian/vegan food on our travels across Brazil has proven quite difficult - until we found Vishnu! As Indians ourselves, we can vouch for the authenticity and flavours in Vishnu’s dishes - (vegetarian Thali, highly recommended!) - all items were 10/10 as well as the hospitality and service received from all of the staff which was just as amazing, Don’t hesitate to visit this restaurant! It is very hard to find an authentic Indian restaurant in Salvador and Vishnu Culinária Indiana is a gem! The food is spiced wonderfully with some heat! We also tried different lassi flavors — mango, spiced mango, jasmine, and popcorn which was delicious. Vishnu came by our table, took the time to chat, and remembered my friends who previously came to eat at his restaurant. Vishnu is so kind and his relationship with his customers makes this place extra special.

As the saying goes, once your eat Indian spicy food, your mouth and mind craves for it again and again. Weekends brings in lot of hungry visitors. Vishnu, with the little access he has to Indian ingredients in Salvador da Bahia, has managed to invent his way to still put a very tasty Indian food on your table with a very Indian decor with incense sticks and Indian dressed staff. He has managed to teach his staff Indian level of fantastic service. Vishnu takes time talk to folks, explain the food and ready to strike a conversation if you want. Fantastic gentleman. Salvador has to compliment him and help him to continue first Indian restaurant that can help local employment and making tourists happy to bring in more tourism to help Brazil people. Help him to help Brazil.

Great Indian food with amazing ambience. The food was authentic and amazing - As a vegetarian I got some great vegetarian options as well which is very rare to find in Salvador. Owner Vishnu was very welcoming and takes time to chat with his customers. A must visit.
