A historic monument in the UNESCO Heritage site of Bridgetown Barbados. Always kept clean to pay tribute to those who gave their lives to fight in the war.

This is where I pick up my Taxi driver from for the area is allocated to Taxis. A nice area with a good ambience as it is regularly used for photo ops both by tourist and locals. One of its main attractions a Statue of Lord Nelson is no longer there and I believe if the Island removed Nelson he should have been replace with Mr Allan Emtage the first man to write the computer code to achieve search by indexing files, the precursor to the internet. I hope one day the destitution of the homeless in the area is tackled for its heart breaking to see fellow Islanders living in such poverty in the midst of a bustling Bridgetown.
