We had our wedding evening reception here. Everything was just perfect. From our first visit to the evening of the function nothing was too much trouble. The team were professional, supportive & vigilante. The venue is just stunning. We had a number of guests who had dietary needs. These were catered for exceptionally well. Georgia & Manuel must have a special mention. It wasn’t cheep, but you certainly get what you pay for. We didn’t use the hotel facilities so unable to comment.

I loved this place. Cannot fault the staff and the service. I’m so disappointed with the menu; being vegetarian and literally having nothing on the menu all year but Salt baked celeriac. When I first started going it was slightly varied, I remember the Gnocchi, which wasn’t as you’d expect in the traditional sense but nonetheless good. With such talented chefs, why can’t they come up with varied Ideas for vegetarians/vegans. Such a shame. Salt baked celeriac needs respite guys

Wonderful place to stay. Great comfort, lovely decor (quite Art Deco) and a good selection of beers on tap in the bar. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and very nice (pancakes with bacon and maple syrup). Very highly recommended for a night in Huddersfield.

I have stayed in lots of hotels and this is absolutely fabulous. The staff are all amazing and make you feel very welcome and at home. The renovation works are 2nd to none and the owners have clearly gone above and beyond with no expense spared on the decor. 5 stars all round, well done guys! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Reserved a table for dinner. Good variety of food to choose from on their menu, best to check out their website before you go as it is a fine dining restaurant with an al a carte menu. Really lovely restaurant and meal, great for date night/romantic evening meal. We didn't feel rushed and the service was excellent. Would definitely go there again.

We've just had lunch here. Smoked haddock and poached eggs were very tasty and done to perfection. A little disappointed as I thought we were going for a hot meal, but the menu was mainly sandwiches and food on toast. Probably our fault for not looking at the menu online first. The building is pretty impressive, the renovation is superb. 👌

Our stay at Majestic Mountain Retreat was like a dream come true for nature enthusiasts. Nestled among the peaks, it offered awe-inspiring views and a sense of wonder. Our lodge room was spacious and had a balcony where we could take in the mountain air. The hosts were warm and provided invaluable tips for exploring nearby trails. This is a place where the mountains reveal their secrets.

I didn't see the rooms i only went for a coffee in the coffee house. I was directed there by a lovely person. The back is very floral and bright. It's a nice spot to hide away. The coffee was nice, served by nice staff. My friend had cake with her coffee and she loved it!! I'll definitely be back. For now, its a 10/10 from me.

Very nice. Good choice for a wedding and reception. Decor was modern but set in oak beamed high rooms with large modern chandeliers. Food was excellent, well prepared, well presented, and service quick and attentive and they had a good choice of wines, whites, rose and reds. Only downside I would say, was that the bar was pricey, with a small wine and soda, and half a lager shandy at £12 quid it could be a expensive evening very quickly. Other than that, it was as advertised on the tin!

We ate lunch at the cafe. Food was nice, a little different to your usual cafe. I had perfectly poached eggs but my sons were overdone, he wasn’t bothered though. Cold sitting close to the counter, top area as staff are in and out of the door, in winter that’s unpleasant. I can see now why it was so busy at the far end! Prices comparable to other decent cafes which was a pleasant surprise. Nice, I’d go again for sure, but nothing special.

As a global traveler visiting from New York, I feel confident saying that this is a truly world class hotel, such a gem to find in Huddersfield, the details to the rooms and hotel design is outstanding, delicious food and friendly staff. Little details I liked, beautiful artwork and decor, natural light, top quality furnishings, underfloor heating in bathroom, well dressed polite staff in Owen Scott suits.

Wow what a hidden gem....blown away by how beautiful it is. Felt so relaxed and cosy inside cafe. Staff are so sweet. Highly recommend this place.

Fabulous, amazing, gorgeous, list goes on! We had a girly weekend for a birthday and the staff were amazing. We brought balloons and a few bits and the hotel decorated the room for us which was so lovely! The afternoon tea was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were gorgeous and super comfy. Cannot reccomend staying here enough and cannot wait to stay again! Thank you for having us. I wish I could give 100 stars!

An attractive, relaxed, and friendly venue for light meals, bunch, or afternoon tea. We like the conservatory with its selection of comfy sofas and Bistro style tables. The team is very attentive and keen to ensure that we had a good experience. The food is good quality with large portions. The cakes are particularly good.

Can't believe I live 10 mins from here and have never been. We just nipped in for coffee and cake and will definitely be back for a meal and drinks. Really lovely place, decor is tasteful, drinks and food that we ordered were really nice. The grounds / gardens and patio areas were pristine. Looking forward to the next visit

Went for the afternoon tea. Pre booked a vegetarian, dairy free version too and I was pleasantly surprised. Could have been a little more variety on the sandwich and cakes as some were 2 of the same but over all very nice. The normal version was fantastic. Coffee was excellent.

The Manor House Lindley is a fantastic location for a wedding. The staff, the food and the hotel accommodation bring everything together for a magical day. The only down side is that , if you also want to have a GREAT evening reception then I would advise that to consider NOT using the in house DJ. At the time of booking her wedding, my daughter explained that the evening entertainment was as important to the success of the day as the daytime reception and was reassured by the wedding planner that the evening reception would be just as memorable, but it wasn't.!! The DJ who arrived hardly engaged with the audience, had an out dated play list and played very few of the requested songs as per a list prepared by my daughter. BIG DISAPPIONTMENT!!!

Came here for afternoon tea and it was lovely! Reasonably priced with attentive service & beautiful decor. Only thing I would say is there were 4 of us and we could only get 2 full cups of tea out of the one teapot, so we kept running out and had to keep asking them to refill - bigger pots maybe?

What a fabulous place for a wedding! I've photographed two weddings here now. The first was in March and we had unusually sunny day. It was wonderful to have a private lawn area for guests to mingle. The ceremony space is wonderful, really unusual decor and interesting lights. I love the stained glass outside the Coach House too. The bar area has an Art Deco theme and looks amazing. The second wedding I photographed was in December, for a small number of guests. The couple had their meal in The Lantern Room which was also stunning and perfect for a more intimate wedding. It rained for much for the day, but as the venue has some interesting indoor backdrops it wasn't a problem at all either. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the food is good. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Manor House to anyone looking for a classy wedding, especially those who are looking for a smaller do (As the Lantern Room is particularly fabulous for this) Hope to be back soon! At a wedding in the coach house. Mixed feelings about this place it was very beautiful, but the chairs were very flimsy. The food was meh, the starters were beautiful but then the main wasn't appetising at all. The beef was fatty and cut far too thick for my taste and the yorkshire pudding was borderline burned. The desert also left me underwhelmed i think given the surroundings i expected to be blown away. The service and staff were brilliant.

Such a beautiful venue for my daughter's wedding on 22.10.22. Bedrooms so well equipped and comfortable followed by a choice of breakfast next morning. Must say you pay for what you get

Very special hotel with attentive, helpful staff. Our room was beautifully decorated, with well thought out extras to make it feel special. Cute cellar bar and day time cafe. Would stay again if this way.

Went to the Lantern Room for an evening meal. Absolutely fabulous food..one of the nibbles took me bk to childhood .. whipped pork fat.. it was divine. Starters of scallops and oysters, with mains of John Dory (❤️) and lamb..room for puddings too! James was the perfect host/maitre d..making time for everyone there and handling unexpected extras smoothly too. Thank you for being so kind James.. We had such a lovely night. We look forward to our next evening meal here ☺️. Thanks #themanorhouse

Just popped in for drinks before dinner. Lovely place with a great atmosphere and brilliant cocktails. So good we came back afterwards for another! Wish I’d got her name but the blonde girl from Stoke-on-Trent behind the bar was fantastic, pretty much running drinks service on her own and was so friendly and helpful. Thank you!

If you fancy something to eat and drink, then the Manor House is the perfect place to go. The Manor House is mainly a wedding and function venue. It also a restaurant with a bar with plenty of seating and tables etc. The staff are friendly and very efficient. Couldn't fault the service me and my mates received the evening we called in.

Couldn’t be more disappointed. We booked a meal months ago for 2 30th birthdays. Easy to book, speak on the phone and have email correspondence to ask for a special table and was promised a dessert for them. Spent £277, the meal took ages, we had a normal table even though asked for a nice one, and we were then told that unless everyone ordered a dessert they weren’t getting the birthday platter. Spoke to the manager after about the disappointment and he couldn’t be less bothered. So rude, clearly living off their expensive reputation because I’ve had better meals other places.

Very handy for Huddersfield and Halifax. Staff, especially those who brought food around, were very pleasant. Attended an evening event after a wedding but everyone who had stayed said it was very good. Extortionate prices for drinks. £15 for a lager and a glass of wine but it is 5 star. No draught beer which was disappointing.

What a spectacular venue! The attention to detail is unbelievable and no expense has been spared. It’s already so beautifully dressed that you only need minimal table/aisle decor to add a personal touch to your day. The teams here are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. Gemma & Craig were an incredible support during the planning, build up and wedding day itself. They were always on hand to answer any queries and make sure the day ran smoothly. You can completely relax knowing they have everything under control & will keep you informed of what to expect. As an absolute control freak I can’t tell you how reassured we felt in their capabilities and we knew we could trust them to deliver the day we had envisaged and been planning for so long. The value for money was fantastic! We opted for a more informal barbeque option for the wedding breakfast and it was not only delicious but there was absolutely tonnes of it! All of our guests commented on how great the food was and how much they had had to eat. We even had pizza & chips for our evening reception which went down a treat after a few drinks & dancing. The day exceeded all expectations – Thank You - we couldn’t have asked for more!

The venue, the food, the amazing staff and the attention to detail made for a memorable day for all... I was lucky enough to stay the night and again the accommodation and breakfast were fabulous !!! EXCELLENT !!!! Highly recommended a venue with CLASS .....
