Nice place and not expensive. Just one problem it is near a very busy road.

A one star doesn't even do justice to the place. Michelle the owner or the person that runs this place is totally unethical. This would have been my 3-4 time been to this place. This was atleast times that This place doesn't have running water n won't refund the ppl there money. I guess I never learn.BBut running water is a part of human right. This time Michelle has cancelled on me as I asked if the water was running as I wanted everything to be perfect and her response was doesn't all companies wish for perfection. She then cancelled my accommodation and sed I am changing the deal. Don't go to this place.

Absolutely terrible place! Disgusting chalets, false advertising of a kiddies play place and a there is no bird sanctuary! The pools were dirty and disgusting. It rained trough the roof and flooded the chalet. We had to ask for a mop to dry up the floor and put our own buckets to catch the rain water so that we could sleep. The electricity kept going off and the management of the place did not even bother to check if the visitors were okay or keep anyone informed of what was happening while his own living space had a generator. No apology from management either. We will NEVER be visiting this place EVER again and we WON'T encourage anyone to visit Makalani Holiday Resort.

I love Makalani! It is the only place I will ever stay when I'm in Harties. It is the very definition of Home being where the Harties.

Amazing people are friendly and make you feel ar home highly recomended

Small bird park with few rabbits. Worth it to go to only if you have extra/free time, or you are passing. Not worth ot to go out of your way

Great place. Brilliant atmosphere and great food. Not so impressed by the boy they call a manager.

a bit dissapointing seeing some of the enclosures not well maintained, think these animals would do better off in another facility
