Lots of activities, variety, safe surroundings to leave kids to explore enjoy and have fun. Grounds well kept. Stalls all same content, African paraphernalia. Talented craftsman, beautiful, variety Artefacts. DEFINITELY a place to enjoy, relax Weekend away from hustle and buzz of City.

It was quite an experience the people there have some nice souvenirs..art pieces and hand made goods ...beware if you are the bleeding heart type... because they can be pushy...and aggressive...always bargain don't accept the first price .. negotiate is the word of the day negotiate.. negotiate... negotiate 😂😂

Great place to hang with friends and family. The place caters for both adults and kids, great entertainment and the food is out of this world. Snake park, lion park. Just be prepared to see these by paying for tickets at the parks. But the other gamey places are free. Not to mention the beachy vibe you get there. Would be coming back. Thank you.

Chameleon Village is a must when planning a day of family fun! There's something special for everyone.. chameleon has a big African market with beautiful pieces! It also has several small spaces where people display their wonderful handmade work! Children love the different playgrounds, with trampolines, beach sand, several pools, putt putt, and so many more fun activities! The different restaurants serve really tasty food and all of this while listening to good music in the brand new stage created right in the restaurant area. And we were so luck to play with the lion cubs at the lion park! It was a wonderful experience that we loved!

We usually stop here on our way out of the city for a break and to have something to eat. Typical tourist trap, and for what it is it's exactly that. I like it because it doesn't pretend to be anything else. The food is good enough, lots of space to stretch your legs and ons of the few places with a put put course. The kids love it

Kids loved the water play area. Together with a really cool play area. The reptile park and Lion park are a lot of fun for the whole family.

Such a lovely place. Only complaint is how aggressive the sales people are at all the craft stores. Don't take no for an answer and hound you but if you avoid that part of the village and spend time around the restaurant then it honestly is very nice with a lovely family vibe.

Great place for a family outing or date. Loved the lion park and adventure "park". Affordable and great service. Their drift trike space could be bigger though.

This is such a perfect place to take your kids to for the day. It has sooooooo many activities to chose from including restaurants. It also has something like a market place (ideal for buying a small souvenir)

Such a nice place for kids and adults looking for good entertainment and a place to have a swim! They have a little splash park for kids a Putt putt course go carts etc. The new Belgian waffle house has amazing food and drinks specials with a fabulous atmosphere! A definite must!

They had some major changes to the restaurant/entertainment area since my last visit. It looks great, feels like walking into a different place. Definitely worth it to stop here, have a few drinks and explore the shops.

Chameleon Village is a great destination for families looking to spend a fun-filled day together. The kids play area and swimming pools are perfect for children to enjoy while parents relax and unwind. The pools are well-maintained, and the water is clean, making it an excellent place to cool off on a hot day. One of the highlights of Chameleon Village is the nice selection of cocktails available and different areas to eat and stalls to purchase trinkets or food. Whether you're looking for a fruity daiquiri or a classic mojito, the bartenders at Chameleon Village are skilled at crafting delicious cocktails that are sure to satisfy. In addition, the pizza at Chameleon Village is also worth mentioning. The crust is crispy, the sauce is flavorful, and the toppings are generous. Overall, spending a Saturday at Chameleon Village near the kids play area and swimming pools is a great way to spend quality time with your family. The cocktails and pizza are a nice bonus, making it a complete package for a fun and relaxing day out. I would definitely recommend Chameleon Village to anyone looking for a family-friendly destination that offers a little bit of everything.

We explored this lovely flea market, with a kid’s play area along with the pool. Adding to the vibrance of the live music and overall chilled atmosphere, there are other amenities that can occupy you and your family for the day. The food almost dampened our mood as what we were served was not up to what we had anticipated to be served. Overall, the staff was friendly, and the on-site activities, coupled with the market visit, enhanced the overall experience.

Nice place to do shopping for suveneers if only the sellers did not harass you so much to force you to buy something. I eventually left and did not buy anything though I liked a lot of items.

Great place to be. My husband and the kids were very happy to be there.. My husband kept asking me how did I know about this place..he wants to come back again. My kids couldn't get enough of the fish pond. Love it!

The staff is very friendly. I looooved the snakes. They have different kinds of animals. There are 2 pools for the kiddies, so the parents can have something to eat while watching the kids enjoying themselves in the water. There's even a marketplace to check out too. Oh, the toilets are clean, and that's a plus for me. It's definitely worth visiting again and again.

Wow this is great place to be at. There are different restaurants, each one with its own uniqueness. There are animals to be seen and a big swing for the adrenaline junkies. The food is delicious and the drinks and alcohol beverages are available. I enjoyed the ice cream and the huge cotton candy. My daughter couldn't stay out of the swimming pool which was kept clean the whole time which I loved.

Nice place to hang around but visited 1 of the restaurants (by the beach sand seats) and my day was just spoiled. In a party of 10, 3 of us had problems with our food: rotten baby chicken, battered fish not properly cooked, prawns not fresh and not tasty at all. To top matters, prices on the menu exclude vat, however nowhere is that stated. Imagine the shock when we got the bill, then +15 vat....As for the managers/ supervisors did not bother to address our concerns. All they could do is not charge us for the rotten baby chicken. Not going back there

Rather loud venue, the food at the Italian restaurant took really long to prepare, also most items on the menu were not available, incl dessert. Thus we were extremely limited. Not much activities for adults.

Stunning place and so many smaller shops and restaurants and kids play areas you wouldn't know about if you didn't walk inside!!

We passed by Chameleon Village on our way home from The kingdom Resort. It's a quaint venue which has lots to keep the whole family busy. A huge flea market filled with an array of African crafts and paintings. Alot of the same stuff throughout the market. There is an entertainment area which is a lively spot surrounded by a few kids play areas to keep the little ones occupied.

Worth a visit, but just be strong as they will want you to look at each stall, and they are great at selling. Course lovely things, but you're so salt that you need to barter down as they start at a higher price. Some small items are OK as the same price as the airport shops and I prefer these guys getting the money. But do check the cost when paying........ as one accidentally put an extra 0 on, and we noticed just as we were about to get on the bus. They were acting as its ok, but that's like £900 instead of £95. The manager was very helpful and reimbursed everything as the card machine wasn't working 🙄 But she hopefully put them in their place as that's something that can really put you off. I loved the place otherwise apartment was from the guilt they kinda put on you to buy, but you need to be strong and say you're looking or something you really want you just haggle on the price a little. Do go to the stall at the back as they don't get so much business due to the shops at the front getting the tourist, and they all have the same thing, really. I got a beautiful elephant stone ornament that I really wanted, so I was pleased with the purchase. And they were so kind to my son who is only 15months old, walking about. Must visit, but again, be strong 😆 and honest.

It's a good experience, not everyone's cup of tea. Seem to be focusing on certain types of people. However the shops and flee market was a nice view and there are nice activities for the kids to keep them busy. I will still need to try the food.

This Village is a great place to shop. You can really buy lots of goodies. Can get easy lost in this village. So many things to see. Big variety!!!! Love this village 🥰

I love the outdoor setting. It is very lovely and the kids love it here. The food is not 'wow' considering the prices and they do not have much variety on the menu.

Plenty of African stuff to buy. The guys do a good job to sell something to you. Good variety! Lots of places to eat.

It was a great place to visit. The snake & reptile park was nice but we were very disappointed after rushing to get to the 11am show and paying full price we didn't get a show neither an apology or %back. Numerous curio shops and restaurants. Just to note the splash pool space is accessible only if you purchase from restaurant. A family of 4 meal complete can cost you approx R450 to 500 even more depending what u choose to eat & drink. Carry hat and sunscreen as it gets pretty hot!

We really enjoyed our afternoon here. Load of animals to see and restaurants to choose from. Cost was average. R100 a burger is what you'll pay at most restaurants these days. Will definitely go back.

Good outside venue to go for lunch. But Boring and small menu. Pricey, as all sides are billed separately. Not a lot to choose from. Not a lot to do. The ladies bathroom facilities are not great. I watched a mom trying to change her baby on a ridiculously small and cold surface as there was no adequate facility for this. Not my favourite place. There are definitely better places in the area.

There is something for everyone to do, water park/entertainment for children - a market to keep woman busy with browsing, pubs for the men to relax- restaurants for the entire family and also alot of animals to see... Definitely recommend this place for anyone, especially if you have kids

  • 5/5 Dalton W. 2 years ago on Google
Good variety of things to do and buy here. Glad that the upkeep and maintenance of the place also seems to be in order. Some very beautiful gardens and things to do for the kids. We have been coming here from JHB for a couple of years now and it consistently meets expectations.

It’s a nice place to visit on a weekend. Clean and organized with a few activities to do. The Mediterranean resturant and the gelato icecream shop at the entrance of the village is worth a try. The market has a good variety we bought cute little hippos.

The place is beautiful, especially for kids. The pools are amazing and the vibe is awesome . Unfortunately, the food service is not good at all. This is a pull or push factor.. We had a waiter, called Josh from Mozambique food area who really messed up our orders. We waited over two hours to get our meals.Thank you to the manager on site who took over. The reptile park and lion Park is worth the visit especially for kids as it is not pricey at all.We were disappointed that El Medina closed down, hopefully a good Cape Malay or Indian restaurant can open to serve some good bunny cows and hot curry..Also they should have a special something for people celebrating their birthday...

Good place to go go for lunch at one of the restaurants, or a little shopping spree for African craft. However I do find that most of the shops sell the same things. Also if you wanna go for activities such us the lion park, reptile park even it’s also good and the entrance fee ain’t bad per activity

Absolutely loved the atmosphere and ambience. Gave a tropical African vibe to it, to be honest all it was missing was an ocean to enjoy a "trip to madagascar"!! The burgers and drinks at madagascar bar was one of the best I've ever had. Definitely a must visit for families, with the variety of activities, pools, and wonderful craft market!! Even brought home so many wonderful pieces of African art and clothing along with good vibes and memories from the friendly staff.
