Nice place to chill out. The rooms were clean. They also have great activities for kids and it keeps them busy. I really liked the food from their restaurant. Negative: Staff at the reception were unfriendly it was like they were being forced to work. Boat Cruise: I think they need to ask if you have kids, drinking alcohol etc and group families with kids together. Our kids were exposed to almost close to pornographic acts because of the people we went in with, they were drinking (not a problem if it is in a respectable manner ), making noise and gyrating and spilling alcohol everywhere. It was quite a torturous ride for our kids. Lastly when people check out at 10am why do you force them to leave the premises. What if kids still want to play? After checking out we were told not to use any of the resorts facilities and these were paid for. You need to make it clear when people are checking in.

Very well appointed accommodation. Units are well maintained. Resort is neat and tidy. Lots to do for kids and adults. You need to pay extra to use the facilities though. Restaurant was awesome - menu was extensive and well priced. Food was well prepared and delicious.

Family trip - We stayed for a week. We bought over someone else timeshare. A 3 bed chalet. Was very neat and clean on arrival. I didn't enjoy having to speak the helper for the kitchen to be cleaned properly. We prepared our own meals pots needed to be washed. She left them on the stove. And for the towels to be changed daily. Thats supposed to be common practice. There was one day the chalet wasn't cleaned at all. I think it was a Sunday. The facilities are well kept. For the size of the property and the amount of people. The size of the pools are ridiculously small.

This is definitely a Gem Resort. Beautiful, spacious, well equipped Chalets. Tranquil ambience inside and out. Grounds well kept, regular maintenance. Fantastic Golf Course. A few Swimming pools. Heated pool. Amenities well maintained. Friendly staff. Animals, roaming around. Morning walk so great. No child will ever be bored here. Entertainment team great. Must visit again and again for sure.

Lovely resort with wide ranging facilities for kids. Water-park and added facilities need to be paid for separately. Pools are a comfortable temperature. Units are moderately spacious; bathrooms and kitchen are slightly small for larger families but the large living area compensates for it. Back-up power was an added convenience. Be careful of brazen monkeys who are on the lookout to steal food around pools and chalets.

We truly had a great time. This is the ultimate place for relaxation. The staff is incredibly friendly and everything is neat and tidy. We will definitely be back again soon. Can't wait to try out the golf course.

Wonderful golf course. Lovely and forgiving. Beautiful scenery! But the greens leave quite a bit to be desired. One is super fast, the next hasn't been maintained properly and is super slow. Golfers are also not fixing their pitch marks, but this is not the fault of the course management.

Awesome time at Magalies. Great, clean and calm environment with so many activities and things to do. The gardens and facilities are well looked after and in excellent condition. A great place for family and friends to breakaway. We do recommend this place.

Where do I start… We had such a wonderful three days stay here. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier, the setting was absolutely stunning and saw lots of wildlife. I would recommend to anyone. Sorry we’re leaving tomorrow, could’ve stayed another few days. The chalets are also very clean and comfortable. Can’t wait to come back!

A hidden and unknown gem around the corner. Who'd have thought! Such a beautiful, serene and nature filled place so close to home! A new favorite! Heated pools, fun karaoke, an exciting water park, the coolest boat rides, great food, biking, welcoming warm staff, and so much more. The list is endless! An absolutely memorable break. See you soon!!!

I highly recommend staying at Magalies Park for a weekend breakaway. We have stayed over in various units throughout the years, and our experiences have always been positive. The rooms are clean and everything is well maintained and in perfect working condition. The resort offers multiple heated pools and entertainment. We absolutely loved the wildlife that casually walked around, like different species of deer, monkeys, and more.

One of our favourite places, lots to do for kids and adults, the various pools are well kept and never too crowded. The restaurant unlike many other places serves the most amazing food! Their seafood pasta is a must! The spa on-site is just sublime and the golf course is very popular with the husbands.

A great golf course with poor course management, this is not the first time I've played here where we have been backed up with four 4 balls on a tee box, 3 hours spent per nine with constant waiting on each tee box. I hope for a pleasant round if I visit the course again.

Beautiful hoilday resort love the facilities ,was scared thou after reading the reviews of the break ins! We stayed near the golf course no 50, its so far from all the facilities u have to keep on driving up and down to far to walk. Also u have to pay to use most of the facilities with the accommodation being so expensive u would think it would be free . Lovely place but not affordable when u have a big family on a budget.

I highly recommend the king room for couples looking for a weekend/night away from the city. The view from the private garden is surreal. I thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi during the cold evening.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff are helpful and friendly. The security was tested, but they came out tops in the end. The entertainment was fun. The La Vita Spa experience was excellent! We can't wait to visit Magalies Park in the future. Thank you to Management for a superb break away from the hassle and bustle of life.

Enjoyed our stay. Service was good. Staff friendly. Convenient Drive-Through check in. Very neat resort and plenty of activities. Look out for the buck passing by your chalet in the early morning. Interesting bird calls also. Generator that kicks in almost immediately during loadshedding was a big plus.

arrival at Magalies was great from the gate with the security guard, the reception to pick up the keys, the room was clean and net. we slept in unit 144 1 bedroom. the house is very beautiful well situated, with animals to see ( monkeys, and springboks) lots of trees in the resort. lots of activities for the children. the boat cruise was awesome, the food at the restaurant is nice and lots of entertainment. the resort if well maintained and it is very clean. their pools are heated and heated floors in the house. Location is easy to access. Otherwise people must watch out for the some roads in hartebeest there are potholes.

What a lovely place, close to JHB but it feels like you're far away. Fantastic room. We had the 3 bed 6 sleeper. Super friendly staff. Excellent facilities, multiple pools and lots if activities for the kids

The resort is absolutely beautiful and plenty of activities for the kids . Five stars there ! YES! Well done ! BUT this is what our family encountered which is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!! On arrival at the gate the security came to check how many of us are in the car . They INSISTED we unroll and open our window to make sure our two year old is a baby !! He was sleeping and we asked nicely to not disturb him as he was napping from the long drive from JHB . He peaked at him and came back with another security guard who then proceeded with opening the door to look at him and woke him up !! After we insisted on leaving him alone , asking if they could not see he is a baby, with his bottle in his hand wearing a nappy and in his car seat !!! This made my husband angry who then showed them his birth certificate number and they let us through ! No apologies. Only attitude. Never in my life have I experienced this !! It is RIDICULOUS!!! Also upon entry two of our family members were not let in , they said the numbers of us exceeded the number of sleepers we booked . They would not let two adults through . We were 12 and booked a 6 and 4 sleeper .We tried to explain to them that we have a 3 year old and a 2 year old who sleeps in the bed with us. I spoke to a lady named Heidi who was unfriendly and abrupt . She said that it did not matter how old our kids were , they are all considered adults. This did not make sense to me as an adult is considered 18 and over . We further explained that we booked through a time share agent and not through the restore and did not have all this info and begged and pleaded if we could please pay for the two adults or even another chalet but no luck from Heidi . There are no policies on your website that indicate a child is considered an adult or that kids a certain age cannot share a room with their parents. In our case a 2 and 3 year old. The next morning we tried again with management but no luck . Sadly we had to accept that two of our family members could not join us. No empathy from management. We had been looking forward to visiting this resort for a long time as other family members had been boasting about it . Sadly after this experience we will not return.

We had so much fun πŸ˜…. Went on a canoe for the first time and I came back a pro. Got a card for R150 and some of the activities are free. We even enjoyed the sunset on an informative boat cruise πŸ‘Œ. My partner and I decided to pay for a day visit after checking out of the chalet because we couldn't get enough of the place. The kitchen has everything you need and the chalet was clean.

It is always a great experience at the resort. I would highly recommend the 2 sleeper hotel for a luxurious getaway with your partner. A bonus is your own private jacuzzi but do watch out for the monkeys. They’ve also introduced a Padel tennis court which is amazing! A highly recommended resort.

It was a great accommodation. However you pay for certain activities, if not you won't access them. The jacuzzi wasn't properly clean, not sure if they use the same water for multiple visitors. Pools are accessed for free and they are clean.

This is a comfortable resort in a beautiful setting. The facilities and the service were both good and I loved the free-roaming antelopes. However, we did have a few issues. -Our bath tub was clogged and the water was not draining. I called the switchboard and they said that they would send someone to fix it, but no one came. -The other bathroom is badly designed. Because of the shower position and the level ground, the bathroom and passage gets flooded when taking a shower. -We were there for 2 nights and looking forward to doing a boat ride on Friday. When we got there, we were told that there is no boat ride on Fridays. Had we been informed on arrival, we would have done the boat ride on Thursday.

Magaliespark is a very nice resort to visit but the units definitely need some maintenance. We visited Magaliespark twice in a very short period and both the units are not up to standard. The last visit we discovered that they replaced the dinner plates that don't fit in the dishwasher😩😩

What an amazing place! Accommodation very comfortable, lots of privacy and tame antelope, squirrels, geese etc make your day. Units are serviced daily, so no doing dishes or making beds. Restaurant's food good too. Lots of places for walks and we saw fishermen pull out some big carp and other fish from the dam. 8kg plus. This place is very highly recommended

The rooms could have been cleaner and the air-conditioning in the bedroom needs to be set with a code each time it switches off. That was rather stressful because my partner and I went there on a really cold and rainy weekend. But overall, it is a beautiful family resort. Enjoyed the activities. Thanks for having us!
