Have visited Sparrow Hawk a few times,fantastic atmosphere,great value for money,always clean and very neat.Hospitality from Hennie is amazing,always very helpfull

The lodge is in the perfect location where it's close enough to all the activities in Hartbeespoort, but also feels like you are in a secluded private hillside away from the loud noises of the town. The rooms are very clean and the beds are really comfortable. The owner Lawrence is very accommodating and goes out of his way to make sure the stay was excellent! I can't recommend this place enough, I am definitely going to be returning again in the future!

This was the second time staying here and it was just as amazing as the first time. We loved the new hiking/mountain biking trails - the views were amazing! Sparrow Hawk Lodge has everything you need and more. Lawrence and his amazing staff go out of their way to accommodate you and your family/friends. We cannot wait for our next stay and definitely recommend staying here!

Awesome venue, very affordable and the owner is the nicest guy you will ever meet!

Private stunning place. En suite private units overlooking a central entertainment area lovely lounges fireplace bar beautiful pool. Rooms are spacious wide very comfortable beds electric blankets heaters if cold. Fitted large kitchen. Lots of spots to chill read etc. Owners Hennie & wife are absolutely helpful kind fantastic people. Perfect spot for a rambling family or group of friends that want to be together but want their own en suite rooms. We were more than happy to stay in rather than go out. No wifi but plans to get a cell phone tower in the area..we will be back!! Book direct rather than travel hubs.

Best service ever!!! I will Highly recommend Sparrow Hawk to anyone who needs accommodation. Two weeks ago We went to visit the beautiful Sparrow Hawk, where we have received the best service yet, we arrived there the Friday evening, we were warmly welcomed by Uncle Hennie, who guided us to our room. They made us feel as if we were in the comfort of our own home, they treated us like family and for that we will be forever grateful. I have never had such great service. Highly recommended. Lodge in the bush high on the hill with stunning views all round. The host is very friendly and helpful. An ideal place to stay when booked on Life Ballooning and visiting Hartbeespoort Dam.

Shame to leave. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but you have so much available near by. Great accomodation. Very open, and enough space for everyone.

Wow we had a wonderful family break away at Sparrow Lodge. Hennie and Ronel are fantastic hosts.

I was part of a hen party at this location, and I was pleasantly surprised. A number of rooms, one of which has a jacuzzi. A fully furnished kitchen, fire places and bar. There's a swimming pool and plenty place for kids to play. The only draw back was the open window bathroom into the rooms. The showers could also be revamped. Otherwise, a lovely venue for big parties.

Rooms were comfortable. All beds had electric blankets. Best part was we had the entire lodge to ourselves, so we were allowed to make as much noise as we liked. Kitchen had everything one would need for self catering. Overall we had a blast.

Great place to stay for a reunion or golf tour , can easily accommodate 20 . Big party place. Swimming pool .

A BIG moment was as you enter into the venue, it has high double storey ceilings, the rooms wrap around you creating this "Kraal" effect which makes you feel safe and secure to have a GREAT Event! I felt like the venue can easily hold +20people without feeling over crowded because of the layout. Big open kitchen, middle landing for braai/dancing, and wrap around bar area. Perfect for the Bacholars event. The rooms are kitted out more for couples keen for a weekend away together rather than friends because of the open bed/bathroom layout. You couldn't do your business without them knowing. The venue was lucky the weather so cool as the pool and Jacuzzi were not in the best condition. Highly recommend the owner fixes this soon because there is nothing better on a hot summers day/night, than a cocktail/beer by the pool! Otherwise, great retreat for active party hungry friends!

I would like to highly recommend this facility. I had the pleasure of staying the night of 02/07/2023. I am the host of the TV show ALL THINGS MOTORING on DSTV channel 189 and we shot on location. Lawrence the owner is an exceptionally kind humble and giving individual who cant do enough to make you feel welcome. Lovely facility and just a perfect place to feel at home.
