If I could a 0 start ratting I would. Let me just say that thier photographers did magic and pictures are deceiving. If you go onto their website you'll be amazed but when you go to them you'll be highly disappointed. Firstly I went to this place to have a look at it as I was interested in hosting a small party with a picnic. The owner of the manager did not welcome us and when we asked her if we could have a look at the strawberry farm it was a straight up no. She was not welcoming and not friendly at all. The place looked like they weren't looking after the place, the geese were in their cages and not even in the water. I would never go to this place nor will I ever recommend it. So much for wanting to enjoy nature. I'd take my business elsewhere, thank you :).

Like the start of many a horror film the day began as an innocuous trip to the countryside, in this case Tangaroa Strawberry Farm. The garden setting seemed tranquil and having arrived hungry we decided to have lunch first. We ordered fresh strawberry milkshakes (which were great), alongside 3 salads and 1 chicken strips & chips. Simple enough. Alarm bells however began to ring when the serenity of the garden was punctured by arguing & shouting from inside. Then 1hr and 15mins after ordering 3 “okay” salads finally arrived, the chicken however was nowhere to be seen. When asked how much longer it would take, the waitress admitted she didn’t know what was happening in the kitchen?! Over 1hr 30 after ordering, the chicken strips finally arrived - totally raw?! The servers were apologetic and said they would get the manager. However the manager was clearly too busy to bother and after a further 15 mins of waiting we asked for the bill. The staff removed the price of the uneaten raw chicken strips and compensated our water (R88) as a gesture of apology/congratulations for dodging the salmonella bullet. Needless to say for such a long wait to then be served food that can only be described as hazardous deserves a one star review at best. Don’t say you weren’t warned…

Unfriendly reception by Kelly, really felt unwelcome, strawberry fields have majority rotten and worm infested strawberries. Not worth the trip. My wife also had to ask if we could go into the farm shop to purchase some products and received a very hesitant and unfriendly yes. my wife entered the shop and had to leave immediately as the dog in the shop started barking at her and frightened both my wife and child.

My kids loved it. The man giving out buckets has such a nice personality. The Strawberries are organic and you can eat them as you pick. You can enter and leave the farm as much as you'd like throughout the day. They have a little restaurant which makes delicious waffles and milkshakes. *Your shoes might get super messed so be mindful of that.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Please never book a room to stay at the guest house. The rooms are disgusting and the service shocking! I will never go back there and in fact I want my money back. After staying there for the night out of necessity because if I could have gone home I would have but it was pouring with rain I realised exactly why there are no pictures of the rooms on their website. Dirty carpets with a bath in the room and dirty bathroom how much more disgusting can you get. Please never stay overnight. The other reviews here are correct the photographer that did their website photos of outside really did more justice than they deserve.

We stopped over at the strawberry farm for the strawberry picking and eating experience, which was very satisfying. There is a nice open space for picnicking and braaing, with a good play area for the kids, as well as a pond with ducks and geese. We also had a coffee and strawberry juice at the restaurant, which has jams and other strawberry products available for purchase. Worth checking out with the whole family. Picking and eating experience was R100 each adult, and R80 for those under the age of 10. With an additional R50 for a bucket that you can take home.

It was a nice relaxing day, it was quite busy the Sunday we went and didn't really find enough strawberries to make the R100 you pay worth it. Our picnic by the water was more enjoyable, the ducks walk around there and it is so peaceful

At first I was disappointed. The strawberries was hot and invested with worms etc. We picked near and far. A lot of people walked away with buckets of strawberries, but we did not eat much. We loved the mulberries! It was a highlight for us. We brought our own picnic and sat in the shade. We had delicious strawberry milkshakes. We ordered strawberry cheesecake. It was not baked, as I assumed. I should have asked, because I do not like cheese TART at all. The farm is beautiful and located close to the road. The staff is friendly and helpfull. There is one small building with two toilets for men and women. Not so nice when you have two small girls and cannot close the door. It has a rustic vibe. A lot of shade for picnic and a stunning dam! Tips for next time: Come end of September as soon as they open for strawberry picking. Come early!!! 8h Dress the kids in older clothes that you wouldn't mind mulberry stains on. Bring our small camping table for our picnic, as there isn't any tables here offcourse. Thank you for a wonderful experience in our lovely Africa sun. Till next time.

We booked for the afternoon spa treatment which included lunch, a strawberry daiquiri, and 3 massages - head, neck, and shoulder; foot; and full body. Staff didn’t know what was going on, the spa clients seemed to be the last people on their priority list. Our lunch was chicken and fish strips, chips, and a salad of mostly lettuce. Dessert was the option of ice cream and chocolate sauce or poached pear and ice cream. The pear was cold and lying in watery syrup that didn’t taste sweet at all. The daiquiri was too sweet to drink! Spa room had no music playing so the atmosphere was not relaxing at all. The massages weren’t great either, they used grape seed oil which didn’t leave me smelling good. The massages themselves weren’t relaxing, they were all back-to-back without time to even have a drink between treatments, and the therapists didn’t seem to know what they were doing. There’s such a good opportunity here to incorporate strawberries into every aspect of the experience, such as a strawberry dessert, strawberry scrubs, candles, massage oils, etc. They’ve completely wasted this opportunity. The spa package was meant to be 12pm until 4pm. In reality, it was 12:30pm until 3pm, not at all what I paid for!

The place itself looked a bit rundown no proper direction signs, animals were in cages, then the options are basic, staff were not intrested, the fields themselves looked run down and dry lots of rotting and worm infested fruits, Be sure to pack a sunhat, sunscreen, wear sneakers, and bug spray. tip keep water in the bucket it also doubles to rinsing your hands. Better crops are at the far end of the fields. The restaurant the staff were delayed and we waited 30mins for just water. The food is overwhelming but not entirely worth it, waffles are the frozen ones and they overload it with the toppings. Maybe try making fresh waffles less toppings, more simple and tasteful than big and tacky.

Went strawberry picking, and it was such a fun experience. You can also bring your own picnic and enjoy the strawberries as much as you want, and go home with a little bucket, really worth it. If you also want food or refreshments, there is a restaurant. The real strawberry juice and strawberry milkshakes are amazing!

A must visit for anything strawberry. Best waffles I have ever had. Lovely cheesecake. Portions are so nice and big, well worth it ! Will be back. Chef very friendly and talented. Owner made us feel very welcomed. Very pretty Grounds, little dam lovely for kids who like farm animals. Little shop as you walk in has lovely jams, bath oils, bath salts, nuts etc. Picnic baskets can be made up on order.

We came for a spa day. The food was excellent, the service friendly and top class, and the treatments were out of this world. I highly recommend the spa and restaurant. If the rooms come close to the rest of the experience, then this place would be perfect.

We visited the restaurant this past Monday (Human Rights Day). We got there around 10:30 and was greeted by a friendly staff member and scenic views of the gardens. The restaurant was empty. We asked for a table for 2, ordered drinks (2 cokes) and then mains. We ordered chicken livers and their T Bone steak special. Over an hour passed with no delivery or an eta. When the food did arrive, the wrong order was presented, over cooked, tasteless and absolutely horrible! The food was stale, like it had been frozen for months then defrosted and served. The waiter looked confused when I mentioned the food quality. After this disappointment, I requested the bill. The bill comes however they have 'problem with signal' on their card machine! Bear in mind there was no loadshedding issues in South Africa on this day! I was told they don't know how long this will take. Someone wrote banking details on a dirty piece of paper which I was given. I could have easily said I also have 'problem with signal' and not paid. In my opinion rating out of 10: Food quality 0 Service 0 Seating 3 Staff 3 Huge disappointment.

If you are looking for a relaxed day out of the busy city, this is the place to be. Breakfast was great in a farm style setting and the therapists in know their work. They provided heaters in a cold day but the rooms would be much warmer if they had a fire place. Overall experience was great

Saw an ad on Facebook and decided to visit for strawberry picking. I whatsapped the contact number to find out if the picking was still happening, to which I got 'this is the last weekend for it' A true disappointment! and what irked me more is that the gentleman/owner - knowing that there's absolutely nothing or worm eaten strawberries in his little farm, was still making entry sales. We spent R100 per person and R60 per kid. Total- R880 There were more people after us and to charge them knowing that he's stealing people's hard earned money for basically a walk in an absolutely unkept, poorly maintained filthy environment, is poor business practice. (I would definitely say another 13 people after us) I guess anything for a quick buck right... And I know I'm not wrong in this review as the people after us mentioned, that they were robbed, while on their search for these strawberries... This ad for strawberry picking was advertised this week. definitely misleading.. Clearly, a certain race group market was the target - because the fb page this was posted on, was for a certain race group. I dont know how people could even stomach eating at this establishment considering the dog mess everywhere 🤮 It would get a NO star rating from me, however, that is not an option. And that's my detailed review of the 'Robbery Farm'

The experience may be a bit on the pricey side, but I found it strangely enjoyable searching the fields for the most beautiful strawberries I could find. And these are by far the best tasting strawberries I have ever tasted.

Very disappointed. My daughter and i have wanted to visit Tangoroa for some time now. Upon approaching reception...Wendy on the patio...we were told it wasnt worth going in to collect strawberries as they were small and she had been moaned at by other customers because the strawberries were small and some eaten by insects! We weren't going to pay R120 to go inside and get Strawberries that werent there. So we decided to have lunch instead. Our waitress was sweet, but the table was not cleaned properly and she tried to clean ot with a tissue. Food was expensive for what we got, which was a toasted chicken! I could not recommend this place.

Would not recommend. At all. Unfriendly staff, run down farm, no sign posting. R300 for strawberry picking (for two), walked a good kilometre to the strawberries and were left to our devices. No tour, nothing.

It's okay, I'm not sure what I was expecting but omg you pay to labour and then pay to take your strawberries home. I think it would be better if the entrance fee included the strawberries you pick .

Had lovely time today with kids and friends at the Strawberry Farm. The strawberries tasted so good, the staff are all so friendly, especially to the kids. We also had lunch there, the strawberry cheese cake was very good. Overall loved the experience.

A relaxing spot with lovely views, however there were some downsides, such as one of the staff who rudely enquired as to why we were not wearing our payment bands and why some of my family had not yet paid entrance fee even though they just arrived and we were still greeting one another and the restaurant service was disappointing, our orders were misunderstood twice by the waitress and they were slow to serve. 3 stars for the nice picnic spots and some friendly staff other than those mentioned above.

I love this place, today was our second time having a picnic there. Both times we had different picnic packages and every time the food is outstanding and packed with so much care. The valentines basket was out of this world and they went out of their way to make it special ❤️ Their service never disappoints and you always feel welcome there. Thank you for making our anniversary special
