I totally confused how to share one tomato sandwish by two adults. There are plenty of great restaurants in Bruges, it's really not necessary to chose this one. And I don't know how to reply the onwer, so I edit... People often mention meal, good, dishes, lunch, table, dish, service, restaurant, wine, Bruges,

And I don't know how to reply the onwer, so I edit here. It's soooooo funny that the owner teach customer how to spend money, with sooo arrogant service and mamner. I give my commemts to help other people make better choice, not to argue with the own or to get knowledge about this resaurant which I will never enter.

One of the top 13 restaurants in Bruges! We came for a culinary experience & we were not disappointed!! We chose the lunch menu of 28 Euros including a diverse & lovely 3 course meal. We also chose a lovely prosecco & some water too. The menu was top in flavors, presentation & the staff is very friendly & youthful too. We booked our table a few weeks in advance but sometimes you still can get a table without booking one. We will come back! Super!!!

Best meal of my whole families lives- my favourite was the burrata, my dads: the sardines, my mums: the catch of the day, my sister: the burrata and my brother: the pizzeta burrata and the bread. Evidently there is something excellent for everyone. Great atmosphere and perfect service with attentive waiters. You get to see the food being assembled. Absolutely incredible would Recommend to everyone in Bruges.

Beautiful and stylish decoration. Nice and competent waitress. The food was absolutely amazing. The main course was so flavourful. We loved it.

The restaurant is empty but the owner does not accept 4 adults and 4 children. Unbelievable! Racist?! Maybe? Then you could have just explained it on the spot and not come to us and just say it's not possible. This has nothing to do with brains, this is a feeling two adults had. Being a human being can be quite simple and the fact that you immediately condemn one , shows me a different picture. Maybe you should show more tact next time, because it's always easier to argue like that in retrospect

We chose to have lunch last Saturday at Locale as it was a celebration for us and we wanted a special meal. We had that in spades at Locale. I can unreservedly give this meal a 5 star rating but there were a couple of disappointing things that anjoyed me on the day (luckily for the restaurant the cooking was so good it overshadowed the flaws by service staff). The restaurant has lunch specials (3 courses for €X, 4 courses for €Y, etc.) and when we ordered we started the order by saying we would take the option of 4 courses for €Y and we proceeded to order our four dishes. I knew the special deal wasn't available every day but I had my days mixed up. It was disappointing to mention so clearly we were taking the lunch special of "4 courses for €Y" and the maitre 'd said nothing and then charged us the full amount for each course. The other occasional negative was the young waiter, who firstly poured the sparkling water in a sloppy manner that he missed one of the glasses as he poured over the top leaving sparkling water on the table with not so much as an apology or a clean up. The second instance of what I thought was poor waiting was when we had a glass of wine each and, as the table was on the small side, I asked him to remove the two other empty wine glasses that were taking up room on the side of the small table (the wine were there when we first arrived). He resisted and said he would rather not. In my mind a silly call on his part as there was a table of empty wine glasses and plates to bring to tables literally 1-2m away and extra wine glasses were easily obtained from this table during our meal. Normally such actions would result in a lower rating, however in this instance the food was so good it resulted in a 5 star review. We had four courses of share plates - a great way to enjoy a range of food without ending up eating too much - and the courses we chose were: Tempura Pollack -Tartar Sauce - Lemon Smoked Salmon - Cucumber - Sour Cream - Dill Red Gurnard & Mussels - White Asparagus - Fennel - Lamb’s Lettuce Veal Ribeye - Morel Mushroom - Broad Bean - Mashed Organic Potatoes The tempura dish was very good, although the tempura batter wasn't quite as light and oil free as the very good tempura is you find in Japan. Very good fish beautifully cooked and decent tempura. From there the dishes were great. Each of the dishes had a wonderful sense of balance in flavor and texture and at the end of the meal we struggled to find which dish of the last three dishes excelled more than the others.I have added pictures for the last three dishes (we forgot a tempura picture). The salmon dish was a devine flavor and texture combination. In the substance under the dill and green was the salmon and sour cream and also, we thought, some very small diced apple, and the end product was a real delight. The fish and mussels dish was a visual masterpiece with the bubbles in the sauce holding for a sustained period giving a lightness that completed the subtle depth of flavour. We found it difficult to pick a highlight of this dish - it would have been easy to highlight the fish, mussels, asparagus, the sauce, or the greens - and ultimately this doesn't matter. The whole dish was another delight. Thee meal finished with a veal ribeye that had substance but was less substantial than a ribeye sounds. Beautifully cooked with flavor from all parts of the veal beautifully complemented by the the other ingredients. At the end of these dishes we wanted no dessert or coffee as we felt the dishes by themselves were enough and we wanted to saviour the flavors and memory. We have travelled extensively over the last 7 years with a wide range of dining experiences and this was our most enjoyable meal. We may never make it back to Bruges but, if we did, we'd revist Locale and enjoy their menu (on one of the days where the set menu discount, if still applicable, applied). It's only because the meal was so good that I was comfortable leaving the 5 stars given what I considered were staffing errors. A lovely occasion with truly beautiful food.

We came from Scotland to our favourite city, Bruges, for our honeymoon and had such a wonderful meal here. The staff were so friendly and genuine and the vibe of this small but fantastic restaurant was just fantastic. We had great drink recommendations and the complimentary sourdough and ham (I forgot what kind) was an incredible start to the meal. We loved all of the dishes, each one felt unique and just tasted amazing. The cheeseboard selection for dessert was so delicious, a perfect selection and just the right amount, not too much/filling. We will definitely come back!

For sure the best meal we had in Bruges. Lots of creative and tasty dishes to share with friendly service (a delicious Belgian wine recommendation to boot).

Down to earth, subtle, humble flavours matched with perfect wines. My favourite dish had to be the burratta, was super lekker with the bacon. The steak was nice but just lacked the flavor or a jus on side to make it perfect. The effort put into the dishes is top quality and the atmosphere is lovely. Nice place to visit for a pleasant lunch or romantic dinner.

A wonderful experience, came on a weekday lunch wasn't packed. Both a-la-carte and set menu was available. Food was delicious, not overly complex but all the flavors really complemented each other. Highly recommend the eggplant, one of the best eggplant dishes I've ever had! Razor clam dish was also excellent, especially the sauce however we did have sand in a few pieces of our razor clams. Service was great, they were really kind in answering our questions around the food. Menu itself is quite short. Price was very affordable, would recommend.

Good food. Very interesting dessert of which I didn’t get to take photo. Most of the servers are young students. This is certainly a restaurant worth a visit when in town.

The food was good overall (I recommend the smoked eel), but it was too expensive in our opinion. The small pizza is too average for its price. Also, one of the clients was celiac and we reinforced that, however they still placed bread over one of the dishes we ordered. Nonetheless, overall the experience was nice, the employees were sympathetic and the environment is cool.

Incredible culinary experience. Found this gem through the Michelin app and it was our best meal in all of Belgium. Seriously elevated farm to table.

We ordered the lunch special for 2. The food was good. However, we weren’t full after the meal. I could even eat the “lunch special for 2 “ by myself. So, I had to buy some frites to satisfied my stomach.

We had the house lunch menu here. It was so good that we came back. They were friendly, spoke English well and it was popular with locals. The chef is in the “Top young chefs of Bruges” list. It was Belgian food with a gourmet, modern twist. The only issue I had was that water was E5 for half a liter. However we found that is normal in Belgium. Beer is almost the same price. I would highly recommend that you try this place at lunch. The prices go up at night, but this is still a good choice for dinner.

Very cosy and trendy restaurant that lifts the foodsharing concept to a next level. Very kind, attentive and helpful service.

A nice concept with a good wine list. I particularly like the local farm to table idea. I was disappointed with the execution of some of the dishes; delicate flavours were often washed out by strong parings, such as caviar and veal paired with brioche. Or the fennel haddock paired with a spiced tomato sauce (the fish was amazing and wasn’t given the opportunity to be the star of the plate). I would still recommend and be interested to sample the rest of the menu. Thanks!

👍👍 It was an amazing experience! First time I tried not a sweet waffle and I loved it! The waffles were just how you would expect them to be: crispy outside and soft and delicious inside. The one with strawberries was an insane blast of taste. I will come back here again. Recommended!
