I am a die hard fan of butter naan and curries. I used to travel to Netherlands (Gandhi Restaurant, Amsterdam) for authentic spicy Indian food. I gave it a try here and am completely satisfied with the taste. A must visit for spicy Indian foodie lovers. The owner is also great. Due to my frequent visits, he offered me a 5-10% discount. Very generous. It’s not that expensive when compared with proclaimed Indian restaurants in Brussels.

Lovely restaurant, very inviting and had a a nice vibe. Food was exceptional, some of the best curry I’ve ever tasted - plus we got a free starter and it was delectable. The staff were both professional and friendly, really made us feel at ease. Overall, not much bad I can say about this restaurant, very much enjoyed my time here and I would recommend to anyone in Bruges. Thanks guys and keep it up! 👍😂🤪

We had visited this place with my family once to eat lunch. They are having food without onion and garlic. Food taste is good, it is little bit pricy , for 3 person I had paid around 40 euro. Ambient and decor is good, one should try.

Probably the best place to have Indian dinner in Brugge. The place is outside the touristy centre of Brugge. You can smell the aroma of Indian spices even before entering the restaurant. The place was full of local people when we visited which indicates that they cook Indian delicacy suited for European Palate. However, they customised our food to suit our Indian Taste Buds (Spicy and Aromatic). We had ordered Kadhai Paneer and Naan. They were better than the best that we have had in India. Worth visiting.

Extremely small portions for the price. The tikka masala was inedible, tasted like I was eating a desert. It was super sweet! Disappointed

The food was divine and it was such a cosy, warm atmosphere. Very reasonable price as well. 100% recommend!

The restaurant's inviting ambiance, attentive staff, and delicious cuisine made for a memorable dining experience. I enjoyed their flavorful Indian dish chicken karai and other delights. Shalimar is definitely worth a visit for a taste of authentic Indian cuisine in the heart of Bruges!

This restaurant is exceptional. The menu is beautifully simple and the paneer makhani i selected was superb. The service was warm and they provided complimentary amuse-bouches such as aubergine bhajis which were fantastic. This restaurant was so good that I made a detour to visit on route from Eindhoven NL back to Bristol UK as I had previously visited in 2021 and knew it would be impressive.

It was my first time eating Indian food in Bruges and we spent some time searching which one is the best to try. I found this restaurant with a good review so we ordered the food to try for take away! My boyfriend went to pick up the food and he said the restaurant smells crazy good lol I got chicken tikka masala for myself and it's crazy good. It's soooo good and I'm in love with it!! The taste is really nice and it's super creamy it's my favorite one so far! Their cheese naan is also great I really like it! I'll will go back and eat it here again for sure. Really recommend everyone to try the indian food here!

The food is not only insufficient but quite expensive by any standard. We followed the good reviews of nearly 300 persons but were left totally dissatisfied. Staff not courteous A total no go place. Dont even try once

Ridiculously overpriced, meats tender but the portion is so small, no hint of Indian taste at all, so bland and sweet. watered down to a 95 year old western man taste that lives in a village of 5. Indian food should be magical that only people from that region can make it, so sorry but I would rather eat the chefs hat the next time. Perhaps we just expected too much. Bruges indeed still have a long way to go with variety and choices for non European food.

I hardly like Indian restaurants when it comes to authenticity of taste and flavors from North India, but Shalimar is an exception. real authentic north Indian food, starter with small tandoori garlic bread is good surprise to start with. we ate butter chicken, dal, paneer kadai, biryani all were good but dal and naan were the best. must eat place if you are looking for real punjabi food.

Nice place , that's the 2 stars , food was a mix of good and bad . The rice taste like plastic , the rest was ok. Balance between price vs satisfaction, quite high price for the low satisfaction offered. Unfortunately there will not be a second visit
