The location is wrong on google map.Cannot set to correct location. The hotel situated 1.5 k. m from Maskeliya Police station (Upcot road)Thank you google team for the chance . But Some comments I cannot agree as these guests never stay with us, Specially comment written by Manoharan and Jiri. These people are from Maskeliya and I would like to say they never stay with us and I cannot agree with their comments. I would like to ask from google team how we ignore comments like this way? Before you publish the comments can you ask them at least to provide a bill(Scanned copy) to prove their stay? As in this way any body can add the comments The same thing happens with our page in trip Advisor. Specially many locals add their comments but they never stay. These locals are not far and near by hotel operators and their supporters in Maskeliya area. It is true that we have some restrictions about local visitors those who coming to stay with very young girls(School aged) and some come to enjoy with alcohol. We have some barriers and we never offer rooms for those under age .(Must be over 25 yrs of age and produce the identity card is must to confirm the age, No rooms provided for enjoy with alcohol ). Also The guest book must fill in every guest and no signatures related of the above said comments. I do hope you may consider to prove some documents (Bill for the stay) with the comments before publish. Madhusha Rest always welcome good guests with understanding . Thank you. Management .Well, This time I hope to add more details to travelers those who read comments about us.(Some guests wrote their comments with anger and jealousy but its immaterial to us as we go our journey.) Now I am going to say some information about places to visit and few land marks hidden around Maskeliya area. Rawana Gala. This location 6.5 km away from Maskeliya main city. We used to think about The great King Rawana long ago lived in Sri Lanka and we believe The late King Rawana may wake up again after his death. We cannot say at which period he may wake up but many believes that he wake up in the correct time we need his technology with sun power and mercury. "Cos we all know some day all our resources may end(Oil/Gas etc). Then how we continue? Today many scientists do research and development as always to smoother everybody's day to day life. Some researchers follow old technology to moderate and compare with now days technology and also, The great king Rawana's technology came to table back again with more experiments, trials etc.During The king Rawana's era, Aeroplanes made by him and one aircraft landed top of the Rawana Gala and the marks of wheels on rocky surface of the area still you can see when you go there. I also wrote review about this place to TripAdvisor too. Thank you for your time.

An incredibly nice and dear hotel owner - he helped us a lot with planing and showed us the landscape. The food was also very delicious. Good value for money. If you are in Maskeliya, be sure to go to Madhusha Rest :)

This hotel is located nearly 1 km from Maskeliya town on Upcot Road. When we visited, the Google Maps location was not set up correctly. Owner of the place is friendly and helpful. He showed us the location with an incredible view of Maussakele Reservoir and Sri Pada Mountain, just a few minutes' hike up from the hotel. He also suggested a few places to visit. Room was clean and spacious, and the beds were comfortable. Bathroom was also clean and equipped with an electric geyser. Downside is that the room has only one wall plug socket. Overall, it's a great deal for the price. highly recommend it

Awesome place to stay if you travel around Maskeliya or Sri Pada. Can reach Gartmore falls in about 40 minutes from here. Good service and facilities for a very reasonable price. Caretaker is very friendly and gives full description about the attractions nearby. There is a great view point near the rest, with a stunning view of Maussakele reservoir and the Sri Pada. Highly recommended.

Awesome place, super nice host and staff (great music taste). Incredibly helpful with organizing rides and logistics for just about anything you want to do. Great food on sight, amazing hikes right out the door. Scenery is epic, easy to get to Adams peak. Highly recommend and will be returning.

Arriving in Maskelya very spontaneously we were really happy to find this place a bit outside of the city, nicely located next to the riverside and only a few minutes away from a great view on the lake and the Adams peak. The hosts were super supportive and helped us finding the best places to see around here. Although there was a strike during our stay, shops were closed and public transport didn't run, we managed to get to see the beautiful scenery and some waterfalls and had a great dinner in the accommodation. Definetly a place I would reccomend.

A nice place to stay within walking distance from a beautiful tea field and lake. You can visit a waterfall nearby or climb Adam’s peak. The owner is super kind.

Hamantha is a wonderful owner. He will provide you with insights and guide you to the best places! His English is very good which makes it easy to have conversation about any topic. The Homestay has a 20 year old guess book with National Geographic in it. I had my own bathroom and enough privacy. just a tip: make sure to take the 2nd blanket that you are being offered. Sometimes in the night it can get cold.

Good relaxing location, next to the lake and close to Adam's Peak and the waterfalls. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing value for the money. Food was also very nice, and you can eat as much as you want. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed my stay with Hemantha and his family. The house is very close to the most amazing view over the lake towards Adams peak. 10 minutes walk and you have such a stunning view! Also Hemantha was extremely helpful in planning my trips in Maskeliya and also my further steps on my holiday. He knows very much about the region and about the tea production/ cultivation and his English is very advanced. The room was clean, big, the bed the most comfortable that I've had during my 7 week journey... All in all amazing!

Great hosts, great location, totally recommend. Much better and easier than in the town, still easy to get to Adam's peak

It's far from the actual town. The place is quite. You have to be repetitive to get the WiFi working. Charge too much for the rooms and food. Owner really does not care.

Best service ever! The owner will go extra mile to provide guidance, help with itinerary and even check on their guests to ensure they're safe and doesn't need anything. They limit WiFi access though but not entirely their fault as they have limited access to it as well. Killer views of tea plantation, lake and falls on walking distance! 40 minutes away by tuktuk to Adam's Peak.
