This was the only restaurant I've been in Brussels because it was only day trip. I love seafood and heard from so many people that I need to try mussels in Belgium. I visited this restaurant in 2013. I sat outdoor sitting and view was very nice. Mussels were expensive. I was all by myself but finished the whole pot. I think the menu was for 2 people. It was very busy place so everything was slow but I would like to visit again for just mussels even though it was pricy.

Really nice place and good food. I was expecting lower quality for a restaurant located in the touristic centre but was agreably surprised. Choices of local food, grilled meats and salads. Ate shrimps bites and carbonnade, both if which I would recommand. Good beers too.

A Culinary Gem in the Heart of Belgium. During my recent trip to Belgium, I had the pleasure of dining at Le Char D'Or, and it was truly a gastronomic delight. This quaint restaurant, located in the heart of Belgium, is a hidden culinary gem that offers an exceptional dining experience. The menu at Le Char D'Or featured a tantalizing selection of Belgian and French cuisine, with a focus on locally sourced, fresh ingredients. From succulent steaks to delicate seafood dishes, there was something to suit every palate. The presentation of the dishes was exquisite, with careful attention to detail and artistic flair. In conclusion, Le Char D'Or Belgium is a culinary gem that offers an unforgettable dining experience. The delicious food, warm hospitality, and cozy ambiance make it a must-visit destination for food lovers and those seeking an exceptional dining experience in Belgium. I highly recommend a visit to Le Char D'Or for a truly memorable and delicious culinary adventure

We were tempted by someone eating mussels next to our table and we ordered one. The staff came with a big hot pot of fresh mussels. This being the first time to try mussels, I really enjoyed it. They were perfectly cooked in a delicious soup of white wine, garlic and cream. The crunchiness of celery added to it's texture. We also ordered couple of Hapkins beers - the alcohol content is quite high and may make you little tipsy. The staff were courteous and spoke English. They also have clean restrooms and the entrance is wheelchairs accessible.

Centrally located, Le Char D’Or restaurant is a French restaurant with a varied menu! Quite quick in serving, dishes tasted nice (except my olives in Greek salad were extremely salty ;)) and ambiance was great. It has lovely seating inside as well as outside. It’s not that cheap if you are on a budget, but the quality of food is pretty good.

Nice bbq restaurant in the centre of Brussels. Meat is grilled properly and to your taste. They have nice terrace to sit outside and see the city go by. Service is also nice and polite. Well recommended!

The staff is friendly and likes to talk. The cooking impressed me a lot, I didn't expect a restaurant at a tourist place can cook so well that better than some fine dinning or Michelin ranked ones. 1) the starter with shrimp. The shrimp is crunch at it's best that can be cooked. The texture, hardness, tenderness, taste, everything of the the fresh shrimp is at best. I had only experienced the similar shrimp at a 5-star hotel restaurant. 2) The mussels. To be honest, I'm not a mussels lover. I was adviced it after asking what's your singature cooking. I asked whether they're fresh. He said, "sure, of course". I had totally changed my judgement on mussels after I was served. It's super tender, juicy, fresh without and unpleasant fishy taste. They 're professional musels cooker! You will agree with me after you try it! Highly recommended! I upload some scenic photos nearby to show you their location is great too.

Loved the food in this bar and grill. Mixed Grill and fries were good. Chicken and green beans were a hit with my friends. Cozy fireplace and decor made for a fun experience, near the Grand Place.

I advice you to visit this restaurant- the delicious food (Grilled Main Course), fast service and of course draught beer.

A little bit pricey but the quality is good. You might think the quantities are small at first sight, but far from being true. If you dare to take a dessert get ready to go out rolling down the street. I just wish the waiters were a little hit more friendly with customers.

Served by Youssef. We had the steak, salad and fries. The best meal we had in four days in Brussels. Recommended 100%.

Nice terrasse, and some good beers that you can try on a beer flight (four 150ml beers for €10).

Very rude service from a waiter named Amir, we all visited as foodies and wanted to try many dishes and it is nonsense to order all you want to try together, hence we ordered things one after the other, to which the waiter Amir said very rudely " why do you call me 50 times again and again to order", Personally if people are ordering more food and drinks I think it is good for a restaurant but he said it rudely and literally spoiled our evening which was going really great, no matter whatever your restaurant provides be it food or ambience, it is important to be polite to people. Just because of one person this happens, otherwise all other people were well mannered or at least since we didn't understand French we are unable to comment more on it and giving them a benefit of the doubt. Literally if you order something at a restaurant and think it was good would you not be inclined to taste something else by ordering new dishes. But just because of one person's rude behavior a group of 9 people got mad and after that we just left. It is not worth to going to a place even if food is great but you get rude service! Anyway if you do go do be prepared to face rude service.
