The store is on the Pest side of Budapest and it is a charming and beautifully decorated wine store and bar. We went in for a wine tasting and what we imagined would be a 90 minute visit went over three hours. We enjoyed an incredible tour of the wine regions of Hungary and tasted so many wines we lost count. All while being educated on the intricacies of the wine by the very knowledgeable and friendly owner. We could not have asked for a better experience and what an absolutely cool environment. There is outside seating but we stayed inside under the AC. The setting is so cozy and fun. The decor just delightful and so well done. This is a store serious about their wine while making the experience exceptional and relaxed for their customers. Price points were excellent. Our visit to Wine Not was one of the highlights of our trip! We can’t recommend them enough. When in Budapest and if you enjoy wine this is a must do. Whether a tasting or just a nice glass of wine Wine Not will impress you. They even have some small plates on the menu to compliment your wine experience. We have done wine tastings all over the world and this is was such an exceptional experience!

This may be our favourite wine bar in Budapest. Great decor, relaxing music playing and a great selection of wines. The tapas selection was also very good. Will definitely visit here again

A very good looking place with a great selection of wines. The decoration is fully wine themed and it gives a great atmosphere. Prices are coherent with the location, rather on the high end for Budapest. We tried multiple wines, even bought some bottles to go, and generally had a good experience, however one was very weird (fizzy, a bit acid, pretty sure the bottle had an issue) and when we mentionned it was not at all considered by the waiter, rather saying we were the problem. Maybe the wine was supposed to be like this but the minimum would have but to consider our remark and try it. Great experience otherwise.

Nice and cosy wine bar with a good selection of whites and reds. Only the rose is very underrepresented with only 1 choice. They sell also individual wines and you can open each bottle, when you pay the price + 3500 for the glasses and the service. This is a very good and reasonable offer. Food and Drink Our main goal was to have some drinks. We startet with a Hungarian Palinka and we tried 3 different ones (Williams Christ, Quince and Cherry). Unfortunately all of the had a bad temperature and the taste was not that good at all. They need to stay in a cooler area. After that we decided to have some white wine. After a short discussion with the Service we decided to drink the Torma Zengő Battonage 2018 for 2200 (0,125), because we wanted some in barrels matured wine. The wine itself had a good temperature but was nothing special at all. A good all day drinking white wine. At least i ordered a Espresso and I need to say: please do not drink a Espresso here. It had no crema, it was not really strong and tasty at all. In my opinion it was more water that a strong coffee. For the Food we went to the small meat platter for 3900 Forint. This one looked very nice and the decoration was great. But the taste was not more than only usual. I missed the Hungarian style - there were only 2 choices of real Hungarian Salami. Service The Service was fast nice and helpful. It felt very comfortable to be a guest. Restaurant You have the choice to sit inside or outside, but they have only a limited amount of seatings and inside it can feel very crowded, if every place is booked. Location The Wine Bar is located in a side street near the river. You can find it very easy but you need to walk there because there are not so much choices for parking your car there. Of the were not good

This small, stylish wine shop & bar is outstanding; the service was professional, informative, and friendly. As someone who wanted to learn a little about Hungarian wines in a relaxed atmosphere, I couldn’t have chosen a better spot. If you choose to go with a group, note that their seating area is modestly-sized and can fill up quickly. I recommend a glass of the “Albatross” Hárslevelű and drinking with their regional designation map in front of you. Highly recommended.

I have only been to the wine shop and would highly recommend it. A girl working here helped me a lot and we had a nice small talk, super friendly and polite service. The wines I bought were absolutely good, especially the white traditional wine the girl let me taste, it was one of the best that I’ve ever tried. Not sure about the price level whether high or low but there was a wide range, so you can choose any — cheap or more expensive bottles.

A very cozy and beautiful wine bar with a wide selection of Hungarian wines as well as wines from around the world. The staff is friendly and helpful, they understand the wines and give good recommendations. The place is small but tastefully decorated and there is a seating area outside. The decor is supplemented with big and cute stuffed teddy bears. We had a great time there one summer evening when we tasted a few of the Hungarian Tokaj wines. The bar has air conditioning on during summer which makes it quite cold though, so customers should take sweaters or they'll be freezing cold.

Beautiful venue with vaulted ceilings and amazing decorations. Outside seating too. The wines are delicious and the hosts very helpful in choosing wines. The cheese platter was huge and delicious too. Would 100% reccomend going.

Extensive selection of Hungarian wines, friendly service and attractive decor more than compensate for a rather unimaginative snacks' selection.

Amazing atmosphere and really great wines and small plates. All their wines on the menu were Hungarian and they had a GREAT selection by the glass. They also do half glass pours if you want to sample a lot. You can also buy bottles to take with you. Food options were charcuterie and cheese plates and other pairings like olives, etc. Staff was also very friendly and helpful!

Such a beautiful wine bar. The wine was so good, I just wanted to keep trying more but I thought it best not to if you know what I mean… The owner was very knowledgeable and hospitable!

I truly believe that it’s the best wine bar in Budapest! Unique experience, we had a great bottle of wine and two plates of cheese and hams.

Visited this family owned wine bar on Thursday night. We had a delicious cheese board (see pic) with about 8 or 9 different cheeses! We had a red wine & an orange wine and both tasted great. Shortly after mentioning that we were visiting from London to celebrate a birthday, the owner recommended I treat my partner to marzipan chocolates and mentioned they’re made by a well-loved confectioner that has made these treats since the late 1940s. The service and atmosphere was excellent - their attention to detail reflected in their interior design of the bar matches the fantastic selection of wine available. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing place! One of the best wine bars in Budapest. We had the Riesling which was great. The staff was very polite and nice. They were playing chill music which goes perfectly with the ambiance. Also, great interior, every detail is thought of. Super cozy, highly recommended.

We’ve been very lucky to walk into Wine Not? after a long day of walking around Budapest. It’s a place with an excellent selection of local Hungarian wines, great service, and really cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Great wine bar! We were there twice during our trip to Budapest and ordered an amazing orange wine bottle. This place also has food, but unfortunately does not have many vegan options. Staff is very professional and friendly and the atmosphere is amazing both inside and outside on the street tables.

Cosy place to have a nice glass of wine. The quality of cheese on the mixed plater wasn't extraordinary but good experience overall.

Good wine degustation place. They have plenty of Hungarian options of red and white wine. Could do better for rose, though. The staff can give recommendations if asked. The venue is small, so it is easier to book a table in advance. This time we didn’t try their kitchen. They speak English and take cards.

Lovely place. I tired dry tokaji wine here for the first time and i LOVED it. Just fell in love with this vibe, nice jazz music, and nice people.

Pricey, but maybe worth it. In my opinion overrated, on the other hand the variety of good wines is impressive. Not too busy, yet food leaves the kitchen very slowly. Nice service though.

Update your opening hours. We made a lot of effort to walk here from a far distance as it states you’re open from 3pm but we just got here at 3.30pm and you’re closed.

The best, authentic Hungarian wines served at cozy and visually appealing place (and in a very nice location, right at the heart of the city center!). Plus, the owners and the staff are super warm and accommodating. I highly recommend this place.
