We passed by and looked at the colourful window when the lady having coffee outside told us "this place is better than any macaroon shop in Paris"... Now that had to be checked. Very colourful and cheerful décor. Fantastic selection of macaroons to try. Let's agree that it is as good as some of the best macaroons places in Paris. It is for sure more creative in tastes to what you expect typically. Everything we tried was real good and the service was perfect. Not much space.. so great for a couple but limited for large groups.

My favorite macaroons in Budapest. The pistachio one is the best in my opinion. They always have new fresh flavors I like the citrusy ones. It’s a great gift because the box looks nice. The location is central with the basilica nearby. Been coming here for years now

I’m obsessed with macarons and I’m not exaggerating one bit if I said Chez Dodo’s among some of the very best I’ve had! Even more so than some of the hugely popular name-brand macarons that one can find in the big cities all over the world such as in Singapore, NYC, Paris and Tokyo! Chez Dodo’s pretty-in-pastel creations are unique and creative in flavor combinations, and yet seem to work! Foie gras with balsamic vinegar and pepper cuvée anyone? So mindblowingly good!!! I went back several times just to try the different flavors as they seem to rotate daily! Service was warm and friendly! Could even see their beaming smiles behind their face masks. These ladies obviously love their job and are proud to be part of the Chez Dodo family! The macarons are not too sweet, so they’re not sickeningly cloying like some other macarons I’ve had. A friend who went to Budapest asked if she could bring me anything, and I said “Just Macarons from Chez Dodo! The more unusual the flavors, the better!” They even have a “flavor decoder” website if you need to find out what flavor of macaron you’re eating! Clever! My friend had remarked the caneles and madeleines were absolutely wonderful as well!

I eat my first macaroons from here. I always took it away because it is not really a place to sit in. But the macaroons are amazing! Since than I tried other brands product but none is as good as this! I love to try the other cookies&cakes they have when they aren’t running out of it. Everything is fresh and delicious!

We passed by there by chance and decided to try some macarons and have a coffee. It was very tasty and also very friendly staff. The coffee was very good and the prices are fair. From the outside you can also watch the people making new macarons. We will definitely be back!

Amazing macrons!! The best I've ever had. The salty caramel (orange macron) is my favorite. The service is very nice as well. Prices are reasonable 600 forint per macron.

A beautiful place. Lovely people and service. Nice, accommodating, smiling, polite. And the different sweets are to die for! Every bite was perfect! We actually couldn't finish everything, so we took some with us. We ate it 2 days later with some coffee in the morning, and it was still super tasty! The quality is absolutely amazing. We had 2 coffees, an eclair, 2 cubes, and some macaroons. Prices are a bit high, but it's worth it!!! And again. What's really impressive in this place and rare in Budapest is the nice staff, that was nothing but smiles and being super nice. So thank you for that! Peace and love from Israel!

Went back there so many times. A perfect place for small/big gifts for someone you cherish. The staffs are extremely helpful and friendly and speak a great English. I cannot help but smile when I visit this small adorable shop!! :) Their best-selling flavor, pistachio is my favorite. Tastes so authentic.

I haven't been to France and these are the best macarrons I've had in my life! They are out of this world. Also the space is super nice and clean and the staff is helpful! 10/10 for a quick bite. Pricey but worth

I've been in budapest more times than i care to count, and everytime I never skipped the chance to visit this small place for a small dose of sugar. I came from germany where everything is soo expensive. coming here really fill my desire of macarons and other sweet treats.

Tiny place, small quiet terrace, so lovely. Different kind of macaron and cakes. I choose the eclair pistache griotte. For me the paste was too cooked and the taste of lemon was very present, i love acidity but in this case it was too much for me.

Cute small cafe. Perfect spot for a quick stop or a coffee break with a friend. Macarons are delicious, and coffee is fresh; friendly staff. I would recommend this place 👌

If you are looking for a treat, you must visit here! Best Macarons in town. They do have other pastries and cakes, but I have a feeling that Macarons is real highlight in this place. The lady cashier was super nice! Overall, nice and cozy feeling.

We were visiting after a recommended review. I saw verity of macarons in the review picture. But when i got in to the coffee macarons i saw little verity. And the room was other design. The man that gave me the macarons did not tell me they have more verity. It was 200 huf expensive than people bought. That was very un plasent. Beside that the 5 tastes of the macarons i bought was very good.

Really devious macaroons and really friendly staff I accidentally came in whilst they were closed tans they politely told me that I was too early and that they hope to see me again once they actually open. The flavours are so good and honestly were better than the ones I had in France.

Amazing macarons and kind waitresses. The location is great and they have a terrace. It's a bit pricey but it was totally worth it.
