Great tour in English. Quite cold when you get down low so bring a jacket. Also a big ladder to climb. Really fascinating place though and definitely worth a visit if you're on holiday in Budapest. Cave-tastic.

Nice lookout place. After the bus stop you should walk uphill a little. Besides the lookout tower you can walk, run, cycling in the hills , get fresh air and enjoy the nature...

One of the best tour in Budapest. Both walking tour and adventure tour were impressive and fantastic. Highly recommend. I got sweaty in adventure tour, but it was so much fun~ I give both tours 6 stars!

(Translated by Google) I really enjoyed this tour. The tour was interesting, the view was wonderful. Have a hoodie, sports shoes, mask! The spectacles will start at a disadvantage because it will constantly get wet due to the mask. This is a confusion. Exciting, you have to go up steep ladders and stairs, damp, wet everything. No one should come in slippers or sandals! Worth the price, an hour of cooling in beautiful surroundings. You can pay with a nice card .😊 (Original) Nagyon tetszett ez a túra .

We had a great time in the caves. Our guide was really knowledgeable and spoke amazing English. The tour was quite extensive and we saw all different types of rock formations and quite a few bats too! Definitely recommend. We went in winter and there was only us and another couple on the tour so very private.

(Translated by Google) A 1-hour cave visit is also extremely interesting. Uncle Laci is the best tour guide in Budapest, presenting the largest cave in the capital in an interesting, humorous style. (Original) Rendkívül érdekes az 1 órás barlanglátogatás is. Laci bácsi Budapest legjobb túravezetője, érdekes, humoros stílusban mutatja be a főváros legnagyobb barlangját.

(Translated by Google) The cave is also beautiful, but a leadership like Uncle Laci's has never been heard anywhere else. He paid attention to the children, was informative, and was humorous. Thank You! (Original) A barlang is szép, de olyan vezetést, mint Laci bácsié volt, eddig sehol máshol nem hallottunk. Figyelt a gyerekekre, informatív, és humoros is volt. Köszönjük!

(Translated by Google) The 1 hour of the tour passed almost unnoticed, the tour guide told the most important information in an enjoyable style for both children and adults, spiced with good jokes. Although the tour includes a 6-storey staircase / ladder, it is not physically strenuous either. The price of the ticket is well worth it. (Original) A túra 1 órája szinte észrevétlenül telt el, a túravezető mind a gyerekek, mind a felnőttek számára élvezetes stílusban mondta el a legfontosabb információkat, jó poénokkal fűszerezve. Bár a túra része egy 6 emeletnyi lépcsőzés/létrázás is, fizikailag sem megerőltető. A belépőjegy árát bőven megéri.

(Translated by Google) We had a great time in the cave today! The hike is 500 m, 28 m level up, then up, but we didn’t really feel burdened. The temperature is 11 degrees Celsius, a sweater is required. We didn't even know that there are such miracles in Budapest, you can see fantastic stalactites, it's a great experience. (Original) Nagyon jól éreztük magunkat ma a barlangban! 500 m-es a túra, 28 m szintváltás le, aztán fel, de igazából nem éreztük megterhelőnek. 11 C fokos a hőmérséklet, pulcsi szükséges. Nem is tudtuk, hogy ilyen csodák vannak Budapesten, fantasztikus cseppköveket lehet látni, nagyon nagy élmény.

The elevation of lookout is not so high, that's why panoramic views are hindered by trees to some extent. Still it's a great place to enjoy scenery. There are places to sit, do picnic or even barbecue. Accessible by short hike, but you can reach here by bicycle as well. Which was the case for me 🚴‍♂️

The cave itself is fantastic, winding down narrow staircases and part of a larger cave-system. It's great for kids 7+, less would be challenging due to the staircases. What killed the experience was the guide, such a let-down. He said he didn't have time to speak anything other than Hungarian and simply didn't care for the international guests. Huge let-down. Made it a superbly boring experience, despite the nice cave. Don't recommend :(

We can see the Budapest bridges on Danube and Liberty Statue from here, and it’s easy to get there.

  • 4/5 István N. 3 years ago on Google
Very nice and easy route. The tour signals are easy to follow and there aren't many steep inclines, heading from the Fenyőgyöngye point. Be sure to take your trash with you, even though there's a trash can at the lookout, it has its limits.

  • 3/5 Kristóf L. 3 years ago on Google
The view is pretty nice you can see to the Danube and there are some benches to use for picnicking, however there are quite some trash laying around which can ruin the mood and the occasional questionable people using the benches as resting place.

If you have little time but you want to see an astonishing view from Budapest and get in the forest from the asphalt jungle, then don't think twice. This place is a perfect jump in the nature. From Batthány square with the Nr. 11 bus till the end station, from there max 15 minutes walk.

took some effort to get here by public transport but glad I did. The guide knew I was the only English speaking person on the tour and did well to explain things to me so I too knew what he was talking about. Quite a bit of climbing to do in this cave but many interesting geological features

Excellent tour with a great guide. Due notice that it is not an easy tour and requires a certain amount of fitness. But it is possible to adjust the tour to an easy level.

  • 5/5 Evan W. 4 years ago on Google
I did an Airbnb experience here. I highly recommend it. If you can get it at your hostel (assuming your staying at one) it’s cheaper by 10 USD. I wouldn’t recommend leaving Budapest without exploring the caves. A certain fitness level is definitely required.
