We went as a family of five and all of us enjoyed it. We walked to castle Buda and then walked back. We watched seven VR movie clips at 6 different points on the route. The clips took us back in time but at the same locations so when we took the VR glasses off we could see the difference. Also while we walked we had the option to listen to Hungary’s history and learn new facts. The guide was very nice and answered all of our questions. They also gave us free water because of the heat.

Exciting tour, great to feel like being part of history, seeing historical moments while walking around this beautiful place. Everyone should try this experience when old time history is mixed with modern technique! Thank you VR tours Budapest!

Cool experience. The audio guide was being told by a Morgan Freeman type voice, which was really easy to listen to. We arrived without a reservation, but we could join the same day of we wanted to. The guy was really friendly. The VR tour itself is impressing. You get an overview of roughly 1000 years of Hungarian history with 7 periods highlighted. I believe it was worth the money!

We participated in a VR Tours on 17 June with a group of friends (13 people) from different countries: Hungary, Switzerland, UK, NL, Italy, Sweden, Poland and Romania. We had a fantastic time and learnt a great deal about Hungary's history that is important when we try to understand the current atmosphere in Hungary. We also had great fun which made our reunion in Budapest a unique one!

The tour was very nice, we had a good experience with the office and the tour guide. However, I suggest to include instructions to guests about the fact that it’s not polite to smoke while first in line with the whole group behind your back choking from your cigarette. It was extremely annoying when two of our fellow guests did that.

Showed up spontaneously and managed to get tickets for the next tour starting in only 25 minutes. The content was highly informative, the VR clips educational and emotional. Our guide did a fantastic job catering for multiple languages and explaining the historical events between the VR clips. Highly recommended!

This is something unique. If you want to experience something extraordinary while knowing more about the history of Hungary then it is a must. After taking part in this, you will get a better understanding of the Hungarian spirit and way of thinking... The people at VR Tours are experienced, nice and professional, a big five for them for their nice job! :)

Erinomainen tapa tutusta kaupunkiin, suuri suositus! 😊

This tour is amazing! You get a quick overview of the Hungarian history and get to experience it on a whole new level. The guide was incredible, shuffling between Hungarian and English as needed, very kind and helpful. Totally recommend to anyone, children and adults!

Great fun, friendly guide and hospitable staff. There were few audio glitches which were not terrible but still. Video graphics could be improved too. Nevertheless, it’s totally worth the time and the money. Thanks!

Very good extension to history of Hungary. Walking in the castle district with friendly guide, VR video in 6 spots. A fiend recommended, we liked it.

It's fun and a good way to learn the history of Hungary. Sadly since it's and outside tour people can ruin the experience. But all in all a nice tour.

We went as a family. We enjoyed the tour very much! I was especially thankful for this opportunity for our kids. Their history lessons became alive! They experienced several "AHA!"-moments. Highly recommended, both for Hungarians, adults & kids alike, and for foreigners!

Really really enjoyed this. It's not a long walk, but for the climb to the castle and back down you'd need to have some good shoes or to not have walked the entire day. The tour guide is excellent making sure you are safe and keeping the group cohesive. Very informative and enjoyable, a good experience overall!

This was such a great experience! I would recommend even for those who know Hungarian history. But especially to those who don't know it. They have Hungarian and English narrations (mostly accurate Hungarian pronunciation of names and cities) that are concise and detailed. It was so interesting to see history come alive and be in the scenes "experiencing" the different battles.

  • 5/5 Diána J. 1 year ago on Google
A truly unique experience, absolutely recommended not only for tourists / foreigners, but also for Hungarians / locals. It's a very well-structured and carefully thought out program, really enjoyable yet informative at the same time. I was with a group of Hungarians and tourists and we all were very pleased with the experience.

Amazing and so interesting 3D tour with pretty cool goggles. You literally learn so much about Hungarian history in about an hour. The super friendly guide took us to various historical spots where with the help of the interactive 3D goes back centuries behind and you can actually see what really happened in the very same place with the aid of the goggles! You will never regret it! Absolutely recommended!

A must see experience! :) A really well put together historical narration while you are walking from scene to scene, and the scenes are just phenomenal! We felt absolutely immersed in it, and you can only take a peek here into very accurate historical moments as if you were there :) The staff is super nice and welcoming! If you are in Budapest, you definitely must see this! Great stuff, great staff!

So, I actually enjoyed this one. It was quite fun running around with a vr headset and sometimes seeing recreations of historical events. Although, they look like they were were ripped out of Skyrim and the English voice sounded as if Morgan Freeman was speaking to you, it was worth it. The guides were friendly and understanding and the overall experience was stunning :)

It was an exciting and nice program. The VR videos were great, spectacular and very infomative. The trip is neither short nor long, it was just right. I can highly recommend it!

It was great! It was interesting to me, even though I'm Hungarian, and to my Irish husband. It is a great way to learn and see main historian events of Hungary.

    1. Go to Hungary 2. Wear VR instead of taking tour by themselves even having the advantage to experience the sights in real I can not believe the amount of stupidity going on here. Director of this service, users, all. The review must had been rigged.
