Fantastic place. Great location, comfortable rooms, very friendly staff; in fact, the people working there are very attentive and welcoming, they make you feel you are one of them. I am definitely coming back. Highly recommended.

Awesome place with awesome people, definitely a go to when in Budapest!

Horribly cold ! No hot shower, no heating ! Impossible to stay in the living room if you don't wear a winter ski jacket, as if you were outside. I had to sleep completely dressed to no shiver. Even colder than the temperature are the members of the staff : they have no experience, no social skills. They're ALL south-americans, too poor to afford a rent, so they clean the hostel in exchange of a free accomodation. Smiles are not included : They spend their days on netflix, or playing their loud commercial latino music. They completely ignore the customers, and are friendly only with their (too many) several friends visiting them to make noise. Useless to say that i won't return

The hostel has limited rooms which makes it great since the whole place is shared by limited number of people. Is located in a great place. The staff keep the place pretty clean.

I would be careful with this hostel. I booked on Hostelworld (deposit paid a month in advance) and they cancelled my booking less than 24 hours before I was due to check-in. There was no explanation given and when emailed about it I recieved no reply. Seems like a nice enough place, but this was a huge inconvenience for me and people should know that this is how they run their business.

The staff are so friendly, its one of the most communal hostels I’ve ever been to. City centre clubs and bars are all within a 15 minute walk and the hostel always sets up events if you can’t find anything to do. Would absolutely recommend.

Positives- Tram and metro right outside the door. Great public transport connection to the railway station and tourist areas. Polite and helpful staff members who keep the atmosphere lively. Fully furnished kitchen in case one wants to cook. Clean and tidy bathroom and toilets. Washing machine without dryer available (5€) Negatives- Hot water in the shower is mostly unavailable, even in winters. It is an apartment turned into hostel. If there is a party in the kitchen or living room it can be easily heard in all bedrooms (where the bunk beds are). The blankets provided were quite sub standard. Conclusion- It is a nice place for a short stay in Budapest but it feels slightly overpriced given the facilities and the state of the apartment.

They charge you 70 euros/night for a bunk bed in a dorm without bathroom, and for that "december holiday special price" you have : -no heating (15° only in the living room !) -no hot water in the men showers -no christmas tree -no oven / use of the microwaves is forbidden because it creates blackouts They only think about money, and absolutely don't care about the wellness of the customer. Let's not talk about the staff members, since they never talk to you : they're all south-americans and exclusively hang out with people that speak spanish, that are not even staying in the hostel. Worst NYE expérience in an hostel !!!

to make it short because i wasted too much, money, time, and patience in this horrible place : -cold showers -no heating at all (in december !) -no oven, no microwave (if you use it there's a blackout) -reception is inside the kitchen (!) -completely antisocial staff members, especially the girls : if you ask them something while they're too busy watching Netflix on the hostel's computer, they don't even bother to answer you. The compliments for the staff in other reviews are obviously for a previous cast, not the actual one, that is the worst i've ever met

The staff are very friendly here. Always up for a chat. Board games available, locker storage is great (next to beds), and there aren’t that many rooms, making is easier to get to know everyone. Thanks Spicy :)

The hostel itself was lovely but workers were the worst. If I wouldnt see my friends at the door, I couldnt able to enter the hostel and miss my bus. Literally they were so irresponsible. But as i said, hotel itself was good

in a central location. The sheets are clean, the toilet and bathroom are clean, the rooms are spacious. staff helpfull. a place where you can stay without any problems

I wandered in this hostel just as the pandemic was happening. Luckily it was very clean and the rooms are very spacious so you can social distance if you want to. Still a good atmosphere though we drank a couple beers and watched movies in the common room. Can't wait to come back to the city when everything is opened up.

Very spacious and clean bedrooms in a perfect location near the main party areas, and well connected with a metro station and tram stop within a minute from the hostel. Good atmosphere and nice workers! Would recommend

Spicy Hostel was just the place I was looking for!!!! Very clean and spacious with a great common room. The guys that run the place made sure that every one had a good time. Highly recommend it to any one stopping by in Budapest and looking for a fun few nights out. Highly recommended!!

I love this place! It's clean, spacious with a chill vibe and the best people. Has beautiful little balcony's with a lovely view. Very central to everything with the 4-6 tram line outside that goes pretty much everywhere important. Right next door to a food market and Spar for your daily needs.
