Great hotel experience when we stayed here for 3 nights. The room was a modern contemporary deco with many utilities. They provided nice and decent shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and hand wash. The bathroom was so comfy and clean. Their hallway also smell so nice with humidifier running constantly. Besides, the food for breakfast was good with lots of choices. Their menu also different for three days. There's many tables provided. There are other facilities like swimming pool, gym, sauna, business centre, games (mini ping pong and dart) located at level 8. They are clean and well-maintained. The hotel is located in the Icon City, a modern central hub in BM where you can easily find restaurants and bars. However, if you want to go find some local food like us, you need to drive or just use Grab. Overall, their customer service was good, especially at the restaurant. They always smile.

Used to be one of the best hotel in this area and would recommend to all my friends who are visiting, to the point that I would ask them to stay here instead of Penang island. However, my most recent visit after the pandemic has been quite disappointing. A visiting friend of mine had to request for multiple room changes during check-in as the assigned room conditions were unsatisfactory. The rooms are no longer as pristine as they used to be. Room prices have increased as well. The furniture and floorings are showing its age - dings, scratches and knicks can be seen easily. The situation is made worse with subpar maintenance and poor cleaning standards. Weird unknown stains can be seen and the floors feel sticky. Toilet sinks are getting clogged up, mold and mildew are forming in the wet areas. The situation will only get worse and worse if no remediative action is taken immediately. Due to the above, I don't think Iconic Hotel should be categorized as a 4-star hotel anymore. However, I still wish the management would start looking into these issues to restore Iconic Hotel back to its previous glory.

In the middle of an awesome food street. Beautiful hotel, well appointed rooms and excellent service. Gifted me a lovely slice of cake for my anniversary. Stylish rooms that are clean with lovely views and spacious. Wish to shout out to Mr. Ammar. Thank you deeply for the well wishes, and the personal recommendations. Love the service and help rendered by everyone in this hotel.

To put it in a nutshell, the entire experience was a disappointment to say the least. Dropping off my luggage at the main lobby was a slow process. The staff stationed at the main entrance was apparently oblivious and he has to be called before he approached to collect my bags. The reception desk was manned by this lady who was masked. Was unable to make much of what she was rattling away. Parking the car on the first floor, I returned to the reception. As I has used my T&G card to access the car park, I enquired as to how this would be reflected when I checked oit. Was told that I should use the T&G card upon my check out and then return to the reception so that I could redeem the charges. This was apparently the wrong directive. You need to go to the reception to have the T&G validated before you leave the car park. The room itself was nothing to shout about. There was no closed cupboard to hang your clothes. All there was was as an open storage area with the hangers and rod high up, unreachable for shorter people. We decided to have our dinner at the cafe on the ground floor. I think that the chef must have bought salt cheap, as the food was laced with more than the correct portion of salt. I made a formal complaint but other than an apology, nothing was done otherwise. I could go on and on but suffice to say that given the steep room rate and the screw ups, this is not a hotel that I would return to.

My first time attending an event at this hotel. Cant give full star, as I have not yet tried@check in for room, but, heard the rate is quite high. Overall, thumbs up for the food!!! The food taste good, with few choice, for an event (high tea), with reasonable price per head, with hall@conference room. The food for lunch was so much of choices, from rice with variety of cooking@dishes, chicken, seafood, noodle section, dessert section, ice cream, snacks section, fruits section, salad section etc. Well, feel supper worth with the price and happy enjoy the food. Good part is, your chef got came out from kitchen to observe the food enough or not. Staffs at dining place serves well and pick up plates once done. Well Done for this.

Everything is good except one of the staff which is very rude. I booked deluxe room with twin bed but apparently they only have king bed for their deluxe room but didn’t stated in agoda. The staff was very rude and ask me to downgrade my room to superior room if I want twin bed. Later on he said due to booking on the day it self, he can’t change my room so just provide me deluxe room with king bed. He wasn’t helpful and rude to the customer. The manager came to solve the issue but the staff decline and insist to remain deluxe king room. Finally the manager came to me personally and provide a solution instead. Hope the hotel would do something to train the staff well.

It's a 4-star hotel but the staff are worthy of 6-star service. All of them at the front desk are super helpful. I left my phone charger after I had checked out and I contacted them. They found it and helped to courier it back to me in KL promptly. This is just one of the excellent services they rendered. Will come back again just for their services. Superb.

The best hotel in BM area. Cosy rooms and good breakfast. Many restaurants nearby within walking distance. Hotel Parking can get full most of the time . Outside hotel - Public parking is fully occupied during peak hours and beware of MBSP officers frequent patrolling

The staffs are so professional and helpful, hotel room is spaces and very clean, shower room with perfect water pressure, breakfast is nice and long enough for late riser (like us). The only minus point is the swimming pool is not big as expected and the swimming wall tile top is by stone which is very rough if you swim too fast and accident knock the wall, it should be in mable instead.

Almost perfect stay if some minor improvements could be made. Toilet are clean with all amenities avaliable. If the toilet seat hose could come with bidet will certainly useful. Room are big. But tv reception are bad. Location superb as one can find a lot eateries and pubs on the street below.

Room, service and location was fine. BUT, I did not know that you allow your guest to smoke INDOOR at the lounge of 14th floor. This man was on the phone and smoking casually even when we pass through and waited for the lift. The entire place reck of smoke, I wonder why didn’t any staffs realize or try to stop him. He does not even bothered to stop. I would not come back to risk myself as a second hand smoker if it is indeed a norm here.

Located to popular night spots. With lots of food establishment to choose from. Convenience store is just next to it. Rooms are a reasonably clean. But the safe isn't working as battery is low. Air conditioner is noisy.

My first time stay in Iconic Hotel. Need to exit juru first if you are from georgetown, old bridge. I think the price is worth for a stay. Modern room. Me n my friends had great time here. Unexpected delicious breakfast.i like their pastries. The room got a coffee machine. Clean toilet. Comfortable bed. Overall yes for iconic hotel.

Well, the hotel looks new and location is convenient and great. The room is spacious, comfortable, gorgeous and clean. Suitable for Business, Friends and Couple. Price is utterly Affordable and Reasonable, recommended to book thru online platform, walk in rate is exorbitantly expensive Guess what, I will definitely come back to this hotel again. Recently attended a wedding dinner here. The venue was not that big but it was cosy. The staff were all very efficient, attentive and very helpful. Food was good and the service was excellent! Our requests were always carried out with a smiling face and much curtesy. As senior citizens, we prefer to drink warm water and we felt pampered when the staff constantly refilled our glasses without being asked to. Thanks again to the chefs, manager and the banquet team. Good job!

The hotel is new & clean. Well maintained. Its also a good place for conferences & meetings. Rooms are nice & comfortable

Bed was alright, breakfast was slightly above average. Staff were nice. Location right beside some eateries and pubs, but could be better as I usually prefer it to be near a big mall. I'd paid above average price of MYR480 per night. So for this price, I think there're better hotels. But usual rate should go for around MYR300 per night.

Nice and clean rooms. Pool accessable. Near plenty of restaurants, bars and others. Far from places to have a walk.

Very comfortable mattress and pillow. Clean room. Free snack and soft drink . Convenient to go for steamboat, is very near the hotel. Good spread of breakfast. Good stay!

Nice view and facilities. However, there is some issue, i already paid for the room. However, a receptionist ask me to pay for room as he/she mentioned room did not pay yet. I ask he/she checked again and room already paid. Please prevent this issue from re-occur again. Overall hotel is okay especially for room. Tq

Good business hotel on Mainland, perfect for visits to the surrounding areas like Batu Kawan. Decent room, not so impressed with the tile floor. Found ants on my bed. Breakfast decent, good spread. Love their nasi lemak packs. Area full of eateries and bars. Perfect for business stay.

The room is so nice & clean. Love the bed so much, both bed & pillow was so soft and comfortable to sleep. But sink was clogged I guess the water doesn't drain properly. And they do provide a mini fridge which wasn't cooling at all. That's the reason I gave 4 start. Otherwise, all was good.

ok, nothing special… for same price there are better hotels. Room was quite loud cause no carpet usage and next to elevator shafts. Breakfast good. Staff friendly

Visited iconic hotel for their Land & Sea buffet. We went there for birthday celebration and we got a slice of free cake! Taste not bad also. Birthday person accompanied by a full paying adult entitle 50% discount on birthday month which is kind of worthy. Miss the food so much, will definitely visit again!

this hotel is ama-zingggg! definitely will stay again and again. i got zero complaint for everything. from the very beginning of the check in process was smooth, nice ambient and even i got free water and face mask upon arrival. stayed at level 8, the room itself suit very well for business traveller. modern, sleek, spacious bed super king size and so comfy. i love every single thing in the room. they got coffee machine espresso provided which added extra value, smart TV with screen mirroring, fridge brand new, safety box and even toiletries provided were so wangi and smell calming. this is as same level as bonvoy marriot service. room has no carpet but i rather it is like that. less smelly than having one. located next to juru icon city, i guess non muslim guest has no worry as F&B choices are plenty to choose to.

Stay here for a business trip, the location is convenient as is near both bridges, front desk very friendly and helpful. Room is precooled while entering. There is no need to leave the key card to energise the room, consider generous with electricity. The small cafe serve good coffee with tastefully done interior. There is a vending machine to buy face mask so is very considerate. The street have many restaurants and also one convenient store.

Even emco still can see some traffic over there,nice place.

Love the whole experience of staying here. Spacious car park bay. They even have charging station for electric cars. Very thoughtful on a lot of small details. Can see that they are very serious about providing great hotel experience to their guest. Definitely will come back again, and highly recommended.

The Ramadhan buffet dinner was awesome with a varities of foods and drinks. The price was reasonable with friendly staffs and good environment.

This is Our 7th time stay at this same hotel, and this time we got a great upgrade on our room. It was a spacious, clean & comfortable room! Just perfect to celebrate my birthday - which was the exact reason we were here this time. The hotel location is super fantastic, with plenty of good restaurants & cafes within walk distance. I would like to specially mentioned & thank the excellent services provided by the reception staffs - Knight, Hilda, Hiswarni & Kumar - thank you for recognizing that this is our 7th times here & always giving us your best smile ☺️ Especially to Knight who gifted us with an Iconic teddy for my birthday, and going all out to help me to get 2 boxes of the Iconic Christmas Edition Masks, although it was out of stock. You are definitely the best example of how customer service in the hotel industry should be. And due to the excellent services from Knight & his team, I will not hesitate to come back and stay here again the next round I'm in Penang. This hotel is worth a 5 star, comfy bed & nicely appointed room even with a coffee machine. Primely located & xmas decorations 👍 Unfortunately 2 stars eroded : - next rooms' hairdryer, conversation, hp buzzing, plugs inserted into wall socket audible. - shower without hot water, strangely basin has hot water. - tv channels mostly sports & local, no movies - room facing morning sun could do with a tier 4 blackout curtain. - pillows stale, woke up with runny stuffy nose - room food service is nt available after 10pm Staff was absolutely pleasant, the malay chap in crumbles & reception sfaff zhi yi 🤘

Stayed here for a week during a business trip. Customer service was excellent. Great attitude from staff. Breakfast was excellent. Gym facilities and pool was okay, not bad. I just wished the surrounding area had more halal places to eat. Keep up the good work.

Very nice and comfortable hotel. Clean room and i think the size of the room is big enough. The breakfast was also very interesting, the menu started from local until western and all of them are delicious. Near the hotel you can find a lot of modern food places such as korean food, japanese food and of course local foods. Not only food but you may have an entertainment area such as a karaoke room, massage, beer house and liquor place. I think this hotel is very good for the place and location.

The hotel was clean & well-equipped; the staff efficient and fast - both check-in & check out processes were speedily done. The breakfast spread was substantial and tasted quite good too. The coffee was excellent

Two years back visited and stays in the hotel. Service were good and satisfying with the improvement of the room presentation and the amenities. Surrounding with many new restaurant, ease of access and convenient for me to meeting with clients. Just that upon check out on the payment side at first offer to be pay either in SGD or MYR, end up the merchant only can proceed with MYR. Other than that everything were great and pleasant, definitely will stay again for next visit.

Seafood buffet was good. Call and make reservations yaa, mostly fully booked already. Got their own parking need to pay or you can pay outside but its hard to get especially weekend

The hotel is located in Icon City where there are many restaurants and drinking holes. However the noise outside does not intrude into your room. My room is clean and comes with a firm bed. You will find the usual toiletries in the bathroom but there is no bathtub. Water pressure is strong which makes my shower a pleasure. The free wifi service is weak and tv channels are limited but these are not major issues for me. Breakfast selection is just ok and there is nothing special to rave about. Overall I had a good stay at this hotel

Good international standard hotel in very convenient location. Rooms are large and kept clean. Plenty of restaurants and shops right next to the hotel. Service was not the best at my last visit. During checkin it was very confusing, as they forgot to ask for the payment in advance (even though I asked them if I should pay or not), then they phoned me an hour later in the middle of the night to tell me I have to pay now... during payment they tried to overcharge me by about 30%. Only after I showed them my booking confirmation mail, they adjusted the price to the correct level. So be careful during payment at the hotel, as they don't seem to follow your booking price!! So 2 stars off the rating for this service experience. Also can be a bit pricey in general, when booked short time in advance.

I am delighted to enjoy affordable seminar package for a small group of participants. The impeccable service provided by event coordinator, Yii Mean is the icing on the cake. She is very reliable, responsive and accommodative. I have been dealing with her for 6 months, she never ceases to amaze me. Keep it up!

I am exploring to have my parents to try the c-bite buffet dinners The brochure said it is 30% senior citizen charges but during the booking, the staff said it is only applicable to one of my parents and another one is not entitled ? That’s so weird and not being honest and transparent in their advertisement. It doesn’t makes sense to me at all by only allowing one entitlement per booking g.

A regular here, this is a breakfast buffet offering local food such as Nasi Lemak, mee goreng, fried bee hoon, chicken rendang, fried eggs, etc...The price used to be reasonable but had since increased a few times to current about RM30 per pax (from earlier RM20 per pax)

Glad that we stayed here on new year's eve. The staff from parking attendants to receptionist were very professional. They arranged for us to park right outside the hotel when parking in the building was full. Everything in the hotel looks new. Very comfortable beds. We had a good sleep. Except it was a little noisy in the morning. We could hear noise from next door. Ample food choices inside and outside the hotel. We enjoyed our short stay.

Nice clean hotel. Decent breakfast spread as well. What's good is there are many restaurants just outside the hotel. You could say, it's a 'happening' place. Got some drinking spots too for those who like that sort of activity

We attended a wedding dinner at the hotel and put up a night at the hotel. Room rate only for 1 person’s breakfast and had to pay additional RM 20.00 for the 2nd person’s breakfast . The rate for room is not value for money. However, the staffs at the from desk are very friendly and helpful.
