I think this outlet are the best between all the Kapitan branch. Consistently delicious. Service are fast. Foods are good. Newly renovated restaurant gives you good ambience to chill out.

Famous kapitan from Penang, a new branch here in perda. Famously known for their signature claypot biryani rice, Milani chicken and superb Nan cheese garlic. Taste are still great, my all time favorite is Milani chicken briyani, base sweet like honey. Price wise are affordable with their generous amount of portion. No nasi kandar in sight, so don't expect to have nasi kandar here.

Overall the food was good. Ordered Tandoori chicken briyani. Chicken was really tender and juicy. The masala infused well into the chicken. Would give it an 8/10. The rice was okay and the dhal was okay too. The drinks were bad though. No rating rather order plain water to be honest. If you want to split the bill mention it while ordering, you can't split after ordering in 1 bill.

I ordered milani khasmeeri naan set and masala tea. The accompanied chicken was good. Perhaps, they used turmeric to marinate but my complaint was the cold naan. I had never had a cold naan as normally the naan would come out hot fresh from the oven. The masala tea also was too sweet for me. I missed the masala tea from bharat house tea at Cameron Highlands.

I normally visit the one on the island. Definitely for the taste. So when I learned that there's a branch without having the hassle getting into the island (at times, like this, I'm just bypassing Penang island heading to Alor Setar), this is convenient. I had doubts. Normally, the branch wouldn't taste as good as the main outlet. I was wrong. Service was good, easy to get parking, seatings are many, place is spacious and ultimately, the taste was as good as what I had on the island. Better still, I felt much safer eating here since it's much cleaner (read my review for the main outlet on the island: it's dirty). Definitely, my choice whenever I'm around the northern states.

If u r 1st time to enter better ask for menu. Order the usuals Nasi Clayport with Mutton and Chicken Milani. The taste never ever changed. But the cashier are not so friendly.
