Read about this Mutiara Karipap for a while now, but know it was in the island till one day I pop in here and found their original stall. They did have quite a number of choices for fillings, from original potato to added egg, chicken, beef, lamb, shrimp, sardin, to the more exotic ostrich, rabbit, crabstick, deer, squid and there is also an all in. Price is pretty affordable from RM1 to RM2.50 for the all in. The potato filling taste pretty nice, would say is good but I dont really like their karipap skin as it soak up oil and become crispy. I would like either a flaky karipap or a doughy karipap but thats my preference. Parking can be a hassle but if you are there during tea time, you might be able to find parking nearby.

Delicious taste and unique way of serving, delicious curry with enough flavor and abundant filling paired with pickled onions. It tastes like eating murtabak but curry paste. This place is a mix of Malay and Chinese. Drinks include coconut water and sugarcane water, both of which can be mixed with lemon juice. Delicious. The pasembor is also delicious. Peanut ice is also delicious. We save it for the next trip. God willing. We spent RM7 for curry RM4.7 for peanut ice RM5 for two lemon coconut water and pasembor RM5 no mistake.

Good place for ice kacang, coconut water & nasi lemak. Mee rebus & rojak also good & tasty. Downside is, it gets very hot & humid under the shed but the ice kacang overrules all the heat.

For me, this is the best "giant curry puff" in Penang! Tasty food with low price. Recommended for those who would like try them!
