The European Studies program is a total mess. Teachers are often rude and impersonal. Management of the courses is shocking, we were told in the first year that they were sorry for the litany of mistakes as if it was a difficult year (exam results being revoked and had to be retaken, exams with spelling errors and formatting issues, unclear instructions on due dates, poor direction on assignments, no feedback for work, exam results taking months or not coming at all, teachers not replying to emails or being aggressive etc.), but in the following year its clear these issues were not a one off or because of corona, the management of the course is just incompetent. Exam scores were also quite low for students, but blame was frequently put on students being lazy or not following classes, not the fact that the teach or module books were inadequate. Additionally there were multiple instances in my first year: a teacher had a completely unhinged rant at my class were she spent an hour berating students as if they were children for her own failings, and other instances of blatant discrimination.. Upon complaining formally I was told to wait for a reply, but they never came. From talking to colleagues from a variety of countries, many agree that the standard of education is far below their home countries and what you would expect from the Netherlands. My mental health has took a massive hit from studying here. Students are overworked and extremely stressed, students drop out because of mental health issues but there is little concern from the university. I also believe that many of the teachers try their best, but are overworked and not particularly happy with the situation either, but it doesn't seem it be changing.

Spent a year attending de Haagse Hogeschool studying abroad. Had an amazing time. Made many great friends. The education was different than what I was accustomed to, but not bad. Great classes and instructors. Very exciting adventure that ended too quickly. Periodically make the trip back to visit.

I am currently studying for my Law degree here and I have to say it is by far the greatest experience I have had so far. The lecturers are friendly and most of them even make an effort to help as much as possible, the facilities are great and the food in the canteen is diverse and delicious! It is worth a look and a chance to study here! I highly reccomend the law programme for future lawyers.

PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE! This school (not to be confused with the University) is horrible and incompetent. Please bear in mind that the things that are happening there are danger for mental health of young people. I am totally serious with that statement as I know many people from this high-school who lost energy to live and gave up. This is the result of brainwashing that they serve in this place. In the period of 4 months I have not learned ANYTHING useful, there was no help in settling in the Netherlands, organizational issues are simply a massacre. I hope that one day justice will come to this place.

This is the most disorganized school I know. Everything changes all the time, frequent mistakes on the part of the university, for which they almost never apologize. Students are to blame for any oversight of the university, out of 400 people only 45 passed the exam - students are to blame, as they did not prepare. The system for registering for exams does not work properly - students are also to blame. The university made a lot of mistakes in the preparation of tasks for the exam - students are also to blame. In such a situation, the university says that you can retake the exam, without any excuses or anything. But it seems like the university wants to respect everyone so much, but why should students experience stress again taking the exam, because of the university's mistake. Teachers are generally a separate issue, there is a feeling that none of the teachers has a pedagogical background. It is quite normal for some teachers to humiliate students, half of the teachers do not know how to attract the attention of students during a lecture and lead a lesson in some kind of their own world, and not with students. The priority of lessons with mandatory attendance is as strange as possible, preference is given to subjects that have nothing to do with the future profession. For example, the university believes that I, as a student, must attend an event where I will make a house from marshmallows and spaghetti , instead of a lecture on economics. To anyone who enters the Faculty of BFM and plans to open their own business or company in the future, I strongly advise you not to, as the program teaches you to be an employee, not an employer. If you come here hoping to be taught, then it is unlikely to succeed. Starting from the first year, you are given insanely difficult reading material, and when you ask questions to teachers, they cannot always explain what is written in the book themselves. And another important problem of the university is that they are trying to teach you how to memorize the material, and not understand it.

DO NOT GO THERE! HORRIBLE! You deliver your graduation proposal 2 months before the deadline. (Without any feedback whatsoever) Than you get a teacher/assessor assigned 10 days before the deadline who is still on vacation and can look at your document 4 days before the deadline and rejects your proposal and you are left to find a new graduation project 4 days. And it's always the fault of the students

Surface level communication during application!! I was interested in this university. However, I doubted if I had the correct diploma for admission. Anyway, I applied through Studielink. Then, I called several times, sent emails, but they never answered whether I could be admitted with my diploma. They only redirected me to fill out the application via Osiris. Turns out my Osiris application wasn’t even open. I waited for a long time, and finally, they opened the application two month after the deadline ONLY because I reminded them via email! So, I was able to upload all my documents. After that, I waited for another month, and that's when they told me that my diploma was not sufficient. Why couldn't they have said that earlier?

Genuinely pity staff as well as students. Rethinkingeconomics.nl Dont believe reviews that speak shallowly of their ecperience eg. that rate facilities and the "niceness" of the teachers. Content taught is industry funded. Genuinely pity staff as well as students. You will NOT learn how to make the world a better place. This institution is mediocre corrupt and attracts teachers that are as well. Frech! DafΓΌr Geld zu verlangen.

new review: save yourself time and energy and don't come to this "university" which is not even that, this is more of a college. I don't even know what to start with. perhaps the organization, which is completely garbage, in my 3 years of studies the only things I get informed of are my deadlines, everything else I have to do myself, check the course, check the coordinator, email the coordinator, wait one week for a reply and just then I can start working on whatever I have to do. on the same note, the courses are incredibly bad, you get courses with over 7 weeks of lectures but no assignments in the course of that. there is nothing to keep you in touch or interested to the course. also the course platform is in absolute misery and half the teachers don't even know how to use it themselves. teachers, all the reviews here are about the bad teachers but that's not even the worst thing, since at the end of the the day you gotta do personal studying anyway, so THANK GOD they at least tell you what learning materials you need. about the materials nothing important is provided by the university, just some dumb pp slides which even those are made without attention because they advise you to come on campus for lectures that are conducted by some online free course teachers that have no ideea how to interact or talk to students. all this university does is to advertise the international part of the studies and to put emphasis on how many different kinds of activities and people you are going to go through during your studies, but all you are going to go through is pain misery despair depression anxiety and you will probably develop schizophrenia from all the hours spent talking to yourself in those emails I talked about in the start. SO PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN SAKE JUST GO TO ANOTHER UNIVERSITY EVEN IF YOU ALREADY FINISHED ONE YEAR THE DEGREE IS NOT EVEN WORTH IT MAKE THE CHANGE

The first time I posted my review was back in September when we only started our first year. It was great at the start, yet unfortunately it went downhill from there. The university, at least at the day of writing this review (2020-2021) is going through an unstable period due to the pandemic and the fact that the administration was not ready to handle online education. The teachers are great, but the course as per general is disorganized, some subjects are even promoted as having a "tech yourself" method that brings more confusion to the already lost students. Exams are not checked thoroughly and assigmentul are either unfair or too vague at times. After the first 6 months, the majority of the students lost interest in the course, and upon hearing the news that applying to a masters will be more difficult with a THUAS diploma, dropped out in search of another university. If you are looking for an unusual way to gain only a bachelor, then go to THUAS, if you plan to go forward with the studies, search for a theoretical University.

I was going through the reviews of this institution. because I'm planning to enroll here. but with the reviews that I have seen so far, I'm scared as an African and as a black person. I wonder what will happen to me if white students and others can give these kind of review.

I wouldn't. Shadow teaching, hierarchy and dependency fostering, neoliberal content. If you are looking for 15% to graduate on time, and collective Stockholm syndrome while industrialization is not mentioned and A/B testing is left to the students' own liking. Really wouldn't. Been to 7 universities and this one might have been the least healthy one. Studied there till 2020. Studied international and European law. REALLY recommend against.

They use international students as a money making scheme. Most incompetent, lazy and useless university administration I have ever seen or heard of.

I graduated from THUAS in June. The industrial design engineering program needs a lot of work. There are little to no technical "engineering" skills taught in the program, though this was promised in the syllabus in 2018 and implied in the name of the program. Basic CAD programs such as Rhino and Solidworks are not taught as part of the program either. Without such basic skills it is extremely difficult to succeed in the field, and many students such as myself had to teach ourselves such skills via sites like YouTube, which is a total shame. The structure of each semester is quite good as students interact with real clients and do real projects which can be added to their portfolio, it doesn't quite excuse the lack of hard engineering skills taught. In addition, the exam and grading scheme feels arbitrary as the final grade (out of 10) needed to receive the diploma relies almost entirely on the final graduation project, which students must find themselves as the program fails to provide any support to find this type of internship in time. Overall some good experiences were learned throughout the study, but unfortunately finding employment after graduating has proved to be near impossible, especially as the university does not provide any type of "career day" or support for students to find jobs after graduation. Most of all, the industrial design engineering program does not live up to its name or reputation of its Dutch sister program, IPO, and needs a name change, perhaps to "human centered design."

I was a student at this university two years ago. I am writing this review just because I have been lately thinking of how bad it used to be. DO NOT ENROLL! It was my worst experience with an educational institution ever. It is the most disorganised institution that i have ever seen. Grades takes ages to be released, the teacher are extremely unprofessional. They are rude as well. The staff is racist. Do not waste your time and take all the negative reviews into consideration, because i am sure they are valid as i have experienced every single struggle mentioned here! PLEASE!

The exams system is terrible! Also the Administration. Last year the Corporate finance exam was open book with all notes allowed. And suddenly this year, 10 days before the exams, they announced that only the textbook will be allowed, no hand nor printed notes allowed. That is BULL! Half of the courses are useless. E.g. the PPD course is completely BULL! They will ask you to write essays about your personal religious belief and imagine having an "information interview" with your work idol in 5 years. Sounds mentally ill as $$$$ to me! As I took the International Business program, not intra-therapy stuff. Not recommended!

If they have the ZERO STAR for the service, i would do that. Don't study in this school. My program's professors are helped but school staff do not care about anything and seem like do not know anything. I have problems with my resident permit. I tried to call them but there is no one picked up the phone. I came to school to ask them how I could fix my problem but they said their colleague was working from home, I sent him an email but before I sent a lot of emails, no one replied to me. I have another problem with my enrolment through the Studie link, I checked on the school website, and they said I should terminate my enrolment to prevent any payment if I am sure I will graduate shortly (even the exam board has not proved it yet). I called the school, but no one answered. Then I called my program, and the officer answered but then he said he had no idea, then he said I should send an email. what is happening ?!?!?!?!?!?!!?

I wish I had never enrolled in this "university". I got my bachelor's degree after 4 years of numerous occasions of arguments with staff. Most of the staff never even seemed to respect internal and general codes of conduct and applicable regulations. There were always excuses towards students why the teacher was right in his inappropriate/unprofessional conduct by not respecting deadlines or disrespecting the students in other ways. There were only a handful of staff members who knew why they had become teachers and who respected rules and regulations. In addition to these, in the middle of my Year 2, they introduced a complete change in the program in which my colleagues and I had enrolled without even bothering what my colleagues and I find reasonable and without considering the reasons why we had enrolled for this program despite the fact that we were all paying the respective fees previously announced. I do not even want to mention the disorganization arousing from pandemic-related circumstances. I am definitely looking forward to obtaining a more adequate master's degree after struggling with the disorganization and disrespect of the persons involved in providing the services of this bachelor's program.

It was the worst university for my son. He never got his deposited we had to put in for his living expenses, it took me loads of emails and finally got it when he left. He never got any help, no emails answered,. But, when they wanted the tuition they sure knew how to send an email. Would not recommend it.
