Hidden gem! This small park is a tranquil oasis often missed by tourists. A delightful morning stroll reveals well-maintained plants, breathtaking views, and a serene atmosphere. A must-visit for those seeking a peaceful escape.

Koishikawa-Kōrakuen is a seventeenth-century garden in Koishikawa, Bunkyō, Tokyo. The garden was begun by Mito Yorifusa in 1629, and completed by his son Mito Mitsukuni.[1] It was created with advice from the Chinese scholar Zhu Shun Shui, and incorporates elements of both Chinese and Japanese taste.

Allahabad Fort is a fort built by the Mughal emperor Akbar at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India in 1583. The fort stands on the banks of the Yamuna near its confluence with the river Ganges. It is recognised by the Archaeological Survey of India as a monument of national importance.

Very nice park that seems tucked away from the city around it. The garden has several areas to enjoy, with each feeling somewhat unique from the others. The paths are not linear, so you can walk around for quite a while seeing new things. Even when trees and flowers aren't in bloom, the park is still beautiful and the structures are still interesting to learn about. There is a small fee to enter, with discounts for elderly and groups.

Who knew that they had a Japanese garden right behind the Tokyo Dome. I had no idea it was there. It’s so close that you can hear the cheers from the Tokyo Dome. It is a very beautiful garden and it’s a nice break from the business and noise of Tokyo Dome City. It’s a nice place to relax and enjoy nature. I highly recommend it next time you’re in the area.

So peaceful and serene. Although the leaves hadn't completely changed colors. I'm guessing early December would be an ideal time to enjoy the leaves amazing color display.

Another gem overlooked by most tourists but not by the Japanese. The whole design of the very big garden is lovely and historically interesting. It would have been even better if there would not have been the high-rise modern structures and Tokyo Dome baseball stadium immediately next door.

This is traditional Japanese park located in central Tokyo. The entrance fee cost 300jpy, but I think it is worthwhile to visit. Plum brossoms are lovely probably till later feb.

Went here by mistake (looking for the Koishikawa botanical garden) but very pleased to visit. A particularly complete and well maintained noble's garden based on Chinese landscapes. Very beautiful, lots of shady paths to explore as well as lakeside views. Key stopping points well signed with interesting info. Tea pavilion but for lunch best to bring picnic.

This is an absolute gem of a garden. I visited this place during winter (late December) and most trees had a mesmerising blood red leaves. The garden closes early in the evening, so it is advisable to visit it late afternoon and spend around 1-2 hours inside. Pro tip: Visit this place in the early evening around 3:30pm, so you can combine it with a night visit to Tokyo Dome which is a 5 minute walk from the garden. Maintenance: 5/5 Flora: 4/5 Comfort: 5/5 (not crowded, there were only two other people in the entire garden when we went) Overall: 5/5

(Translated by Google) I visited for the first time to see the autumn leaves. I didn't check anything in advance, so I entered in a clean state, but I was able to see various scenery right from the entrance and enjoyed it very much. New sights will appear one after another without getting bored. Also, while walking, it makes me feel like I'm in the mountains, but the place where I can see the Tokyo Dome and the surrounding buildings together from various angles is a wonderful mix of everyday and extraordinary. The autumn leaves were beautiful, but I'm really looking forward to the plums and wisteria that haven't bloomed yet.

Beautiful and spacious garden, very colourful during Autumn. Despite the rollercoasters nearby, the garden is calm and relaxing, such a marvelous area to find between the busy city.

It’s a relatively small park, but especially in autumn, it has amazing scenery. There are 2 bridges inside the park and the view from the red bridge is magnificent. There’s a small entrance fee but absolutely it’s worth it.

Special historic site with a beautiful serene manicured garden. The iris was in full bloom. It’s right next to the Tokyo Dome and all the attractions nearby, stop for a short visit. Entry was accessible via East or West Gate. See below pic for access info… There was a nice pathway leading to the West entrance only opens till 8pm but the hydrangeas are in full bloom.

Beautiful garden in the middle of the city. I went here on Greenery Day during Golden Week and the entrance fee was free. It’s not a very big park, so you only need to spend an hour or so here.

Fantastic! Very beautiful one of the most famous traditional Japanese gardens in Tokyo. Very close to Tokyo Dome. You can go there on foot from Suidobashi station. The scenery is always great throughout the all seasons. Furthermore, its entrance fee is inexpensive. 300yens for each adult. It’s worth entering many times. I highly recommend this cite as a sightseeing 👍

One of the best place in Tokyo to view autumn foliage. Beautifully curated gardens. We saw an elderly man looking to be in his eighties who could barely walk with his back straight walked in with his wife. The wife helped to carry his drawing tools, helped him set-up the half drawn canvas, then went to stroll around the park whilst the husband drew. Seems like a daily ritual for them. Their presence added to the sense of history and serenity of the garden.

Beautiful, immaculately maintained and serene despite the sound of the roller-coaster from Tokyo Dome every five minutes. Sadly you can't really sit on the grass and picnic but there are plenty of benches and a few eating areas. This garden is stunning and very cleverly designed to reveal wonderful vistas as you travel round its paths.

(Translated by Google) I visited at the end of December when the autumn leaves were about to end, but I enjoyed the beautiful garden with the autumn leaves still remaining. Is it about a 10-minute walk from Iidabashi Station to Koishikawa Korakuen? Entering from the main street, it is next to the ground. There is a height difference in the park than I expected, and it is a little mountain. You can see various faces by walking all over the park. Personally, I was impressed by the beautiful red bridge around the small mountain on the far left.

Visited during the Peak Autumn color period in 2019. Not so quite busy but was filled with tourists. Most of them are equipped with Cameras to capture the nice scenery so don't run in front of them. Some of the paths are stroller and wheelchair accessible.

A lovely garden to stroll about, with lots of paths leading to quieter areas a bit away from the central pond. This time of year brings us beautiful lotus flowers, but really any time of the year is a great time to visit. This and Kiyosumi are probably my two favorite gardens in what is roughly central Tokyo. Nice to stop once in awhile on one of the benches to allow previously unnoticed garden design nuances to come to you.

I spent my last day in Tokyo in Suidōbashi. I’d been here already once on the trip looking for Winning brand boxing gloves to no avail, but I’d loved just walking around the area; it’s bustling and not just because of the Tokyo Dome. There are great eats everywhere, waterways to explore and interesting streets to wander down. As it was my last day, I wanted to unwind before jetting back to Singapore, and I found the Koishikawa Korakuen Gardens. With my trusty Kindle in hand I did a lap of the gardens, stopping at various points to take a seat and read a chapter of the book I was halfway through. Although busy it is very tranquil and the lush verdant greenery set against the backdrop of the dome, is uplifting and inspiring. The many bodies of water add cool reflections for photographers. I recommend coming here if you are weary of the hustle and bustle and looking for a spot to recharge the batteries and have a pleasant walk in nature.

The Koishikawa Gardens is the best gardens I've visited so far, in the sense of information available in english (if you still struggle to read japanese like me, all the directions and interesting spots' information in english will be welcome). Be sure to take the panflet on the entrance, and stamp it. As one of the 9 Metropolitan Cultural Heritage Gardens, each has its own stamp. I visited in june, time for the iris blooming, but the park offers beautiful views throughout the year. I'm looking forward to visit it again during autumn. There's no drink's vending machines inside the park, so grab yours before you enter it

Super autumn colours in the heart of Tokyo. Well worth ¥300. Surprisingly many peaceful nooks for a modest sized garden n. A nice teahouse as well but the queue is about an hour for that midday.

It’s a theme park of Edo period. We can enjoy many famous Japanese and Chinese iconic points here. Like Amano Hashidate bridge , West lake of China , Oigawa river and so on. The son of the founder this garden is one of very famous feudal load among Japanese. His name is Mito Mitsukuni. He couldn’t travel to Kyoto in his live but he enjoyed himself at the garden. February is the best season for Plums.

Relaxing Japanese garden with cherry blossom trees. The shidarezakura (weeping cherry blossoms) bloom first and the garden had a tendency to declare “mankai” (full bloom) based on that. I would wait a few more days after they declare full bloom to fully enjoy the sight of cherry blossoms.

We stumbled on this garden during our trip and I'm glad we did. It's a beautiful oasis with some interesting medieval history. As with most protected gardens there's a 300 yen fee but it's well worth the price of admission. Go on a sunny day to fully appreciate the path thru the forest and the sun through the canopy. Note that the garden that was once the private garden of the landowner is a but under construction as they restore the gate to the main garden (sign said by next summer).

It's nice to see how a traditional Japanese garden is played out however it was not as peaceful as was suggested (maybe for Tokyo its peaceful) and, to me, it seemed a bit tired, not very green although there was some cherry blossom coming out. Also interesting to see the older guys with their big lenses snapping young female models, including dressed in school uniform.

(Translated by Google) It's very wide. If you try to see every corner properly, I think you can crush it for about half a day. The park has a lot of undulations, so it's best to walk in a modest way. It is good to change the outfit according to the four seasons, such as cherry blossoms in spring and autumn leaves in autumn. Every time you go, you will discover something new. Not only nature but also man-made objects are fulfilling. It is also very nice to keep the old building without recreating it so that it remains like a trace. I think it's a perfect place to take a picture. However, there are many people during the season of cherry blossoms and autumn leaves, so I think it is necessary to go right after the park opens. There is also the remains of Kanda Josui in the park. I think it is also good to follow the traces of Kandajosui from Sekiguchi.

I'm really surprised that the surroundings will change so much 400 years after this garden was built. (Translated by Google) A very pleasant garden, the red bridge stands out beautifully in this very monochrome (green) setting. Carp and turtles will welcome you when you approach a waterhole. In addition, the presence of a tea room / restaurant area allows you to enjoy a meal / tea while contemplating the garden. Clearly a little gem in the middle of Tokyo. A peaceful park and Zen garden near the Tokyo Dome. The park consists of several parts which feel like little worlds of their own. There is a lake, a little river with stepping stones, bridge and shrine, a wisteria field, maple forest, water lillies pond, and more. You can easily spend an hour there and recover from busy Downtown Tokyo. It costs approx.400 yen. Unfortunately, you can still hear the noise from the streets and nearby Tokyo Dome.

My second visit to this huge Japanese-style garden in the middle of the heart of Tokyo, which is right behind the Tokyo Dome. This time it was a cherry blossom season and the flowers were beautiful. Please be aware that the cherry trees are only in the main entrance (the one close to the ponds). You can enjoy plum blossom in the spring.

This garden has ample natural beauty but if you are visiting only for Sakura trees then you might be disappointed as it has only a few Sakura trees blooming right now. I bet it looks much better during fall. But still worth a visit if you want to spend some time with nature as the gardens are not very crowded and have a very calm atmosphere

Very beautiful garden near the Tokyo Dome. Viewed Cherry Blossom Trees in peace during the season and took pictures in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere away from the more popular tourist areas. A few rules there: no selfies, no tripods and no setting up a canvas to paint or draw. We stayed near there so it was an easy visit and great way to spend a few relaxing hours.

This place is a nice walk through the park. Beautiful landscapes nestled in the city. The stadium activities can be heard. The city buildings tower above the tree lines as a contrast of times. Cost 300 yen Restaurant available Restrooms throughout the garden Multiple entry ways I recommend this place and will be a returning customer.

The garden is looking so beautiful this time of year and is one of my favourite gardens in Tokyo. It's only about 300 yen to enter (you can also buy an annual garden pass that lets you in to a number of different gardens) and there is a cafe/restaurant/teahouse on your left as you enter. You can usually have a set meal or tea with wagashi (sweets) and look out into the garden - if you are by a window. Across from the "cafe" is a small gift shop and they were selling ice cream (Matcha or Vanilla) which I can recommend. There was also a dango (grilled mochi rice cakes) stall towards the back of the garden when I was there on the weekend - it might only be there on busy weekends. The garden is large enough to never feel too crowded and busy and offers such a variety of different viewpoints (as it was designed to do) that you can easily stroll around for an hour or two. Highly recommended.

A really peaceful and beautiful place. Some old people were doing water painting in the park and then they displayed there. I also wanna do this in my old age.

We went to Tokyo slightly early February, weather still cold. We were searching for a place near us where plum blossom already bloom. We tried to search nearby places and luckily we found this park. It was easy to find & lucky us there were some plum blossom trees blooming. The scenery is really calming & relaxing. When all the plants here really bloom, i believe the view will definitely be amazing to see.
