Johnny
Carson
Park
is
quietly
nestled
between
the
134
freeway
and
the
large
building
complexes
of
Burbank's
various
studios,
film
production
offices
and
medical
facilities.
It's
easy
to
miss,
but
it
gives
the
park
that
"away
from
the
crowd"
feel,
tucked
away
in
its
little
secluded,
but
busy,
corner.
This
park
has
trails
that
wind
around
its
grounds
along
little
creeks,
powerlines,
and
office
building
backroads.
There
is
a
newer
style
playground
for
kids
and
a
fitness
path
(with
exercise
apparatus)
along
the
main
park
trail.
Not
the
best
views
around
though,
as
you
have
massive
powerlines,
large
buildings
and
construction
projects
surrounding
you.
The
most
convenient
parking
(though
limited)
is
along
Bob
Hope
Drive,
which
is
right
by
an
off-ramp,
making
it
pretty
busy
with
speedsters
once
they
have
the
green
light,
so
be
careful
crossing,
making
u-turns,
and
parallel
parking
there.
There
are
supposedly
parking
lots
nearby,
if
you
do
not
mind
walking
a
bit
to
get
to
the
park
itself.
There
are
lots
of
grassy
areas
and
some
tables
for
picnics.
Bathrooms
could
definitely
use
better
upkeep.
The
former
NBC
Studios
(now
The
Burbank
Studios)
is
just
across
the
street,
which
was
home
to
"The
Tonight
Show
Starring
Johnny
Carson"
(hence
the
park's
name).
A
good
place
to
enjoy
an
afternoon
break
from
your
workday.
