We
went
there
on
the
advice
of
our
family
doctor
who
could
not
see
us
that
day.
We
went
at
2pm
and
waited
1.5h
without
seeing
either
the
nurse
or
the
doctor.
We
left
because
we
were
told
all
the
waiting
we
had
done
was
only
to
see
the
nurse.
We
had
to
come
back
later
in
the
evening
to
see
the
doctor
but
after
clearing
through
the
gatekeeper
(the
nurse).
The
clinic
had
fewer
than
10
patients
when
we
went
in.
We
were
placed
almost
last
in
the
queue,
above
one
person
whose
kid
who
said
she
had
a
painful
eyeball,
but
was
otherwise
happily
playing
with
an
ipad.
My
kid
had
painful
rashes
on
hand
and
feet,
sorethroat
and
fever.
They
gave
my
kid
a
Covid
test,
even
though
they
were
told
a
negative
test
was
taken
the
day
before.
A
few
other
patients
came
in
after
us
but
were
moved
above
us(someone
who
claimed
he
lost
his
senses
for
a
moment,
one
who
said
his
daughter
had
crazy
coughing
in
the
night
for
almost
two
weeks,
but
look
healthy
otherwise).
At
3pm
there
were
4
other
patients
who
came
in
(ear
pain,
lower
abdomen
pain),
but
were
all
turned
away
because
the
receptionists
said
that
the
clinic
was
full
even
though
it
was
supposed
to
open
until
8pm.
There
was
a
lot
of
open
begging,
but
there
was
no
concession
given.
At
the
reception,
there
were
3
receptionists
and
a
registered
nurse
who
was
the
"manager"
and
will
not
see
patients.
The
3
receptionists
(not
the
nurse)
are
expected
to
determine
state
of
urgent
care.
After
1.5
hours
we
enquired
about
the
waiting
time
and
the
"manager"
said
that
2
hours
was
the
norm,
as
though
it
was
the
standard
the
clinic
was
aspiring
to.
We
were
then
told
that
we
were
next
in
line.
After
waiting
for
another
10
mins
and
knowing
that
the
nurse's
room
was
empty,
I
walked
over
to
the
room
to
have
a
look.
She
was
coughing
away.
I
asked
when
she
would
see
my
kid.
She
said
she
was
doing
charting
(instead
of
seeing
patients)
and
we
had
to
wait
for
her
to
summon
us.
There
was
no
attempt
to
move
patients
in
this
clinic.
DO
NOT
GO
TO
THIS
CLINIC
BECAUSE
IT
IS
NOT
AN
URGENT
CARE
CLINIC.
So
much
for
the
pomp
and
excitement
when
the
clinic
first
opened.
You
have
to
wait
hours
to
see
a
nurse
who
also
needs
to
chart
and
then
you
have
to
be
invited
back
to
see
a
doctor.
She
could
have
reviewed
our
case
quickly
and
fixed
a
time
for
us
to
see
the
doctor
so
that
we
would
not
have
to
wait.
Instead,
the
clinic
preferred
to
see
a
group
of
people
waiting
while
the
nurse
is
happily
charting
away.
All
in
all,
they
do
not
care.
Take
this
option
if
you
have
nothing
to
do
and
would
like
to
see
a
display
of
inefficiency
in
the
use
of
tax
dollars.
Go
to
a
walk-in
instead.
At
least
if
you
go
to
a
walk-in,
after
waiting
for
hours
you
get
to
see
a
DOCTOR.
An
update:
My
kid
had
hand
foot
and
mouth
disease
after
we
self-diagnosed
by
looking
at
pictures
on
the
internet.
We
were
lucky
it
was
not
Strep
A,
which
had
similar
symptoms,
and
needed
antibiotics,
which
the
internet
will
not
be
able
to
prescribe.
