Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology

Tourist attraction Museum Ethnographic museum

👍 Quite small, just one room within the bigger university building. It is almost completely dedicated to the history of Aboriginal people's rather than archeology of a broader range, which might not be of interest to everyone. There is a great profile of a complete rock slab on a far wall, showing all... People often mention museum, great,

Quite small, just one room within the bigger university building. It is almost completely dedicated to the history of Aboriginal people's rather than archeology of a broader range, which might not be of interest to everyone. There is a great profile of a complete rock slab on a far wall, showing all the layers of BC with explanations for each layer.

It’s located inside the SFU building, easy parking and near to transportation. You need to figure your way inside the university building to reach it . We had to ask several people inside to know where it’s located in the building. We attended one of the Halloween nights there. Kids liked it . The place is well maintained. Although it’s too small area but staff and volunteers were doing great effort.

It's cool because it is part of the university but overall useless compared to UBCs museum of anthropology. Good to check out and do some photography in and the first nations art is absolutely stunning

Great place to be. I just dont know how they assembled all these rare and beautiful works of art. But can they not expand this museum and add some exotic items that would interest the public to come and visit.

Lots of concrete but a nice building on top of a large hill. Pretty easy pay parking.

I've been here many times and it always feels like there's something new worth seeing. I love the densely packed international section with all the drawers to pull out and explore. It's like a little treasure hunt every time!

Went here with my two young boys, thinking it would be a great learning experience for them. They were very bored :( I thought it was really interesting though. But I don't recommend to take your kids.

It was the right amount of archaeology mixed with just a hint of ethnology.

Though the room is small, the place is filled with information. Many of the artefacts exposed are described in great details. It also has a slice of the soil built into a wall with the first evidence of our early ancestors coming from Asia to come across North America. I would have given 4 stars, but I am giving 5 since Mr. Rob Rondeau took time to show me personally some of the exhibition and also took time to hear and add on to my curiosity and enquiries about themes I have shown and would like to extend on in class with my grade 3 students. I had a wonderful experience!

👍👍 Great place for all ages. There are multiple amenities in this park. Tenis and basketball courts. Table tenis and a nice playground for the young ones. During summers, it gets busy due to the water playground area. Nice for a weekend barbecue or after office walk.

Hindu temple
👍👍 First time visited this Temple. Great location, anyone outside of BC can find it easily. There is a Hindu temple next to it. You can visit two temples in one time. Hare Krishna temple lot is big. Shree Gourango Mohaprovu always dancing at the back yard, standing tall! Such a beautiful Gourango Mohap...
