Staff at the front desk incredibly unprofessional. Nobody says hello when a customer is at the desk, and they’ll keep you waiting while they gossip with each other before checking you in. Often times not even looking in your direction and chatting away while they run your card like it’s a grave inconvenience. Not talking new employees either. Who supervises this place? I don’t want to feel like a bother showing up to my local rec center.

I love this pool. It was where I used to swim as a kid, and I often go when I’m visiting Vancouver. The staff are amazing, even offering up helpful advice for my elderly mother and anticipating her questions and needs. I was blown away by their level of service, and the care they took when dealing with her. Plus, floor to ceiling windows looking towards the mountains! How can you beat that view while doing laps???

I’ve attended this Centre this summer and used the Gym sometimes, as well my 2 year old daughter took Swimming lessons here as well. Today I went in the morning to confirm about upcoming level 3 adult swimming lessons for my self. I had completed level 2 in the summer and I was told that Level 3 didn’t exist? I actually found out that they did have level 3 and when I tried registering for it quickly it was already funny enough (ALL BOOKED). That is why I went in person today this morning to ask when I can register for Level 3 and prevent from Missing my chance again. The caucasien woman with glasses and short straight hair with bangs was very DISMISSIVE and Not Very nice to me. She was very sweet and smiling to the elder Caucasian couple in front of me, but when it came to my turn, her démener changed completely? I even had my Nurse uniform, I’m a healthcare worker who actually looks after very sick elders. I don’t even deserve a hello , smile nor simple courteous friendliness? Not to mention the short guy who was beside her, he just rolled his eyes at me (really). He as well has a lot of attitude and was rude to my wife last winter and very insensitive towards my wife not speaking perfect English. I don’t know if he has some sort of Chip on his shoulder ? ( I’m not trying to be disrespectful towards him because of his height) I’m just being descriptive so that the people in charge know how they are. For couple times I got this treatment from some of your staff and didn’t say nothing. Know I did.

It's a public pool... So it's ok. Fairly clean, some broken lockers. If you have children under the age of 8 there's a certain lifeguard that was ridiculous with the kids needing to be within arm's reach policy making the entire experience irritating. Then when I spoke with her about the fact I was playing with my child she was just incredibly rude. The rest of the lifeguards exercised common sense and a good nature.

Very convenient gym. It has a pool and weight lifting room. Staff is generally friendly. The scenery outside of the gym is beautiful. There is a track, basketball court and other playground structures to the back of it. My one gripe is that inside the small gym can get pretty crowded at certain hours of the day(after school hrs) making it a headache to get on machines.

The customer service here is so uncomfortable, the reception is so rude and dismissive every time I come. I don’t understand why, I try to be so nice to them every time, I work in customer service so I understand but man between the rude guy with the weird wait times in the weight room and the ladies who have a problem with me almost every time I come, I think I’ll just go to the gym at my school for free, the weight room isn’t even that great there and I’m sick of the fitness trainer in the weight room always gawking at you as you work out

Not a bad pool. Not the cleanest though. They need to have someone go around spraying out the shower floors every hour. The foot fungus is real here.

Was visiting today to check their programs as I’m around the area. Was about to ask the receptionist(chinese old lady) about something but she yelled at me saying she was on the phone. Was so astounded to make a reply. One of her colleague told her not to yell at me but I just walked away. Not a really good first experience so I’m gonna stick with Poirier eventhough I live in Burnaby.

This place is amazing, and very nice staff, and perfect service, the only problem I want to say is about members. Hey please please please, don’t throw your paper bracelets around, throw them in the garbage, this city is our home

Great facilities. The big pool is great for swim lovers, there’s also a smaller and fun pool for kids and adults to just chill. Can’t wait to use the slider! (Check out the timings for this, it’s not always open) The jacuzzi is great too. Happy to have found this center.

I counted 6 teenaged lifeguards all standing around. For what amounts to 2 regular sized pool lanes, a kids pool, and old age hydrotherapy they should learn a trade with all their free time. Learning electricity would help them to fix the outdated, unlit neon signs. Welding could teach them to install padlock options on the flimsy coin-lockers (.25) inserts. A good pool by most measures, but probably designed by city hall planner. I only rate 1 star it 5. Seriously though, I’ve never seen 6 lifeguards on a packed beach 2 miles long.

Last night we went there for the first time. It was quite busy, however, we had a good time playing in the leisure pool, enjoying sauna, going to the deep side and jumping off to the water and so much fun. Though the slide is not open yet! I also swam in lane side for a while which was a little busy. Lots of thanks to one of the lifeguards ( I forgot to ask his name) who helped my daughter find her favourite water toy.

Great place! I love the dual element sauna and the slide! Just wish the light in the steam room worked :-( Some people press it and I don't know if it's on or not

Pools not the biggest but it works. The gym is a little small but it's a community center so what do you really expect. Machines are a bit old but they are sufficient. Hot tub is good, & the steam room is hot AF. Overall it's not a bad facility. The staff are generally pretty positive and really helpful. Gotta get that cardio in baby .

Epitome of suburban recreational center. Generally, it is very crowded, but prices are decent, and the locker is available for a quarter (no change).

Great pool for families. The water slide is great, the temperature of the pool is nice and the staff are friendly. My only complaint is that the family changeroom is quite small and always very busy.

The price has increased alot to use this facility, very dirty change rooms and floors are gross. For what they charge your better off going somewhere else

The pool is small and crowded. Water in the kids' area is much colder than Edmonds. The water depth of the kids' area is perfect for my 5 year old.

The leisure pool is somehow too cold, believe it is at least two degrees colder than the one in Edmonds. But it is nice to have a mini slide which suits the need of toddler. Also I found it is not too crowded during the loonie time, and usually we can find a shower room which is nice since we need to handle the toddler.

Awesome every time I've gone. Life guards were always on point! Bit crowded in hot tub but all around great!

Good community centre overall. Pool is on the colder side, and geared more towards family than to lap swimming. Beauty of a location. Clean.

Perfect “Leisure” Pool. Great staff. Hot tub sauna a few 25m lanes. No diving board just a platform in a diving tank which is fun. Just nice place to relax.

This fitness centre is a very big one, I might say it's bigger than the one at Bonsor and Edmonds ones. The characteristic of this one is that, is located next to a library, a space for playing soccer and doing exercise and a skateboard area within a big park and close to a very nice view which leads to a lookout beach. Went I went inside, I saw this waterslide and a bunch of kids and it seems to be such a fun pool to be at. There's always room for going to do some laps or take some swimming classes. When I went with my husband we were told that we can take swimming classes with our little one (always with the parents supervision) a couple of days a week and we even saw some parents doing this in the pool. It made me want to try. After being there asking all these questions and watching the pool, the outside area and everything, we realized it's a good place to go to and it's not bad for some classes, aquafit, family swimming clases, etc...so amazing and interesting. The place looks clean too and the people at the front desk were very kind and knowledgeable when saying all these things. Thumbs up for this place.

Pretty nice facility although it's a bit small. Pool is very bright thanks to the large North-facing windows. The waterslide is impressive for the kids (if it's open that is). The gym is very cramped and there are exercise bikes out in the hallway which is a little weird. Staff was friendly and helpful with the questions we had. Family change room is nice with multiple private showers/changing cubbies. One issue though is the water in the showers is cold!
