Beautifully set up brunch spot! The aesthetics are top class. The food was good but I though it was too pricey for what was served. The 5 different types of sausages in my $22 platter, seemed like the run of the mill deli type. The Spanish latte was very good, the waffles chewy and nice. I might go back for the vibe, but will try out something other than the platter. I also found the plate size to be on the smaller side, so it was hard to get to the salad without dropping a bit on the table.

Super beautiful cafe! Love the artwork, backdrop, and atmosphere 🥰 We got an oat milk latte and green tea tirimisu which was so good! Also got an early grey cake but didn't like it as much. There are lots of other baked goods/desserts that look great. Hopefully I can come back someday to try some more.

Beautiful and aesthetic place to hang with friends and family to eat some fun food! We ordered double chocolate pastry, chicken sandwich, chocolate and banana waffle and chicken with fires. Everything tasted delicious l, loved the fluffy waffle and chocolate pastry one of the best I've had around the city. The place is very spacious and beautiful and kids absolutely love it.

This is a very interesting cafe/restaurant. Decor is very unique that you and your friends will be impressed from very first step into the place. Wall made with stones and unique arts with high ceiling will make you feel like you are somewhere else on vacation. Food are bit pricey but of excellent quality. Especially the bakery like cakes are very good. There are tons of sittings but sometimes not enough due to popularity of the place. Parking’s really limited so street parking is most likely needed. Overall, a very fun place for all occasions.

The Good: - first time coming here so wasn't sure what to expect. It looks like small place from the front, so I was pleasantly surprised to see how big it is when I walked in. Easily could sit a 100+ people as the pics will show. So no problem getting a table for 4 on a Sunday morning brunch time (I arrived at 9am; left around 11am and still plenty of room). - place is clean and at no time did I see dirty dishes and plates left about. That said, I cleaned up after myself when I was done. - food comes quick. You get a buzzer with your order so that you can sit down and not stand around waiting. Ordered two 'platters' for 3 of us. The Bad: - "platters" are smaller than a normal breakfast plate at Denny's or Cora's, which are similarly priced (low $20s). The Ugly: - Coffee is $3 for a regular size cup but is NOT refillable so I had to nurse my one cup of coffee; supplemented by cups of water.

The food surprised my expectations and the menu was quite unique. I enjoyed the bulgogi sandwich on squid ink bread and we also got the chicken platter. The vanilla lavender drink was really good. The natural lighting and all the plants made this a nice place to visit, hangout and take pictures. I wish I could try some of the cakes.

This was the first time we visit this place and we liked it. The entire design was quite modern with very high ceiling. The menu was has a reasonable wide selection of items that could meet the expectations from all kinds of people whether you are a meat lover, vegan, vegetarian, or on a more restricted diet temporarily. Food came out rather quickly and the service was good too. The inside was kept clean and tidy. The only down side is that they don’t have a lot of parking space compare to the number of tables they have.

The pastries and coffee that we had were top-notch. A bit pricey, but you're paying for great food and atmosphere! And it must be very popular because it was verrrry busy! I would recommend this place in a heartbeat ... but check for stats on the less busy times before you plan your outing.

I visited this cafe many times. Finally I am writing a review about it. The layout remains the same but they have moved the bread and buns in individual packing to the front of the cafe. When customers come in and lineup for food/payment, they can grab the bread and buns right away. The lineup was not too long. It usually depends on when you go. Menus are on their website or they have paper menus at the cashier, so customers can look at them while waiting in line. I ordered the bacon and waffle platter, a regular latte and a matcha latte. All of them were good. They have many varieties in terms of coffee beverage, breakfast, desserts, and etc. Customers must be able to find something to eat or order from their menus. Once the food was ordered, I got a small vibrating machine. It would vibrate when the food was ready for pickup. I could go find a table first. The cafe has changed to use wooden cutlery instead of plastic. It’s better and more environmental friend. However, it was hard to use the wooden fork to pick up food from the plate. I must use a spoon or knife to help at the same time. It was funny. A sign at the cafe would tell customers that if we ordered food, we could stay for two hours. If we ordered a beverage only, we could only stay for an hour. That makes sense, so customers can’t just sit at a table for hours especially ones who bring laptops or work to the cafe. Would I recommend this cafe to others? Yes! It’s such a popular restaurant in Burnaby now. Lots of street parking in the residential area.

It’s a very nice , clean and well organized restaurant for breakfast and brunch. We enjoyed a good variety of food and a good variety of seating areas. We liked the different drinks and different deserts offered. Staff are friendly and smiling. Decorations at the entrance and inside are amazing. Definitely, we will go there again.

I loved this place! Let's start with decoration, the leaves covered walls on the outside already makes you expect a great experience but wait until you get inside and see the modern interior decoration. Beyond the look, the coffees, food and pastries are great and I definitely recommend the platters. It is a bit pricey and the bill will be around $25 per person, but I think it totally worth it. You can find plenty of parking in front of the shop and in the alley beside it. Definitely recommend this place. P.S. they require vaccine verification at the entrance.

I love the hustle and bustle of this place. My only issue is I wished the meal portions were larger. The waffles were perfect. During holidays this place can get super busy, be prepared to wait a long time! It’s worth the wait. I wished they had coffee refills 😢.

One of the nicest cafes outside of Vancouver with tasty treats and great brunch. Regular lattes are good but Spanish Latte is smoother. Highly recommend their cakes and brioche donuts - light and delicious. There is also a wide selection of pre-packaged pastries, including gluten free options. Service has always been good. Love the decor and feel of the place. The one thing to keep in mind is that this place is always busy (early, mid and later in the day) so it’s a bit on the noisier side of things. Also parking can be a bit of a challenge with the café parking front and back filling up quickly there usually is some on street parking available.

While this restaurant is very aesthetic, I would not recommend it. As a former server, I understand the challenges that come with a busy weekend, yet the attention to detail exhibited by the staff fell short of expectations. The overall quality of the food was good (or so I was told), although I, being someone with celiac disease, faced a disappointing lack of options. Regrettably, I could only settle for a plain latte, and to my surprise, even their syrups contained gluten—an oversight the server failed to recognize. In a country like Canada where gluten, nuts, milk, and eggs are prevalent allergens, it is important for servers to be well-versed in identifying and communicating potential allergens in the menu items (the syrups have gluten and milk). Unfortunately, my server seemed unaware of gluten and left me to double-check the label myself, discovering the gluten content just minutes before consuming the drink. (You have to pick up your drink at the bar, and they had all the syrups lined up, so I was able to check for myself because she seemed not to know what gluten was.) Aside from the limited (by limited I mean none) options for individuals with dietary restrictions and the server's lack of allergen awareness, the cleanliness of the utensils was concerning. Having worked in the service industry, I couldn't help but notice that the cutlery appeared unclean and potentially reused. It wasn't just a bit of food; even the napkins that came with the cutlery were dirty. Despite the restaurant's aesthetic charm, it leans towards the higher end in terms of pricing. Even forgetting the allergen issues only with the cleanliness concerns, I cannot recommend this establishment, whether for those with allergies or without.

Haven’t been in this coffee &brunch place for two years, the prices got higher, and there’s a bigger variety of food now. It was tasty, the raspberry cheesecake is my love now 😍 I was drinking a tea, so can’t give any recommendations about coffee. I don’t know how the taste and quality of coffee was changes in the last two years, will try next time. I love the atmosphere, plenty room to come there with family, friends or just to find a little spot to sit and work or study there. Jk we came on Sunday morning, and closer to 10:30/11am it got busy, so be ready to stay in the line.

A lovely cafe for food and desserts. The doughnuts were fresh and displayed on a tray by the cashier so we couldn’t say no to them, and the pasta was a standout; very creamy and rich sauce with the pasta perfectly done. The cafe does get very busy however, and the long weekend we came was no exception. It can get quite loud and bustling as it’s very popular, so don’t expect a quiet cafe experience, especially during busy times. Will definitely be back in the future!

Tasty brunch with cute dessert! There’s lots of green and it’s a great place to hang out. 🌱🍵I loved Beef sandwich and chicken panini. 🧇☕️The size is perfect if you are not super hungry. The staffs are also very friendly and helpful!

Got the waffle platter and a hot chocolate. I drink and food was well presented and the location was clean (bathroom was also clean!) and very nice place to sit and chat. I liked the hot chocolate but the waffle platter was nothing special. Waffles was slightly soggy after being served, and the potatoes were a bit plain for my liking, everything else on the platter was good though. But for the price I would not come here if you're looking for great food. If you are here to enjoy the atmosphere with friends or family, it could still be worth it for you!

The overall feeling of mine after the visit last week was pretty normal, I feel that the hype is about the interior decoration. Besides that, the drinks and cakes are kind of overpriced, tasted normal, compared to other cafes. I wouldn’t talk much about service because it’s all that you order it at the cashier then you would get it and have a seat yourself. Atmosphere was great, this place could hold up to a hundred people, as it is really spacious. Well decorated. The “New York Cheese Cake” tasted so so. Not that good as I expected. It was pretty dry and fall everywhere when I try to cut it, the texture was not firm I mean. Disappointing. However, my friend loves the “Injeolmi cream donut”. It was a nice visit but I don’t think I would come back again, but if I ever did, I would like to try other stuff they offered.

This cafe/restaurant is incredibly intriguing. The decor is exceptionally distinctive, and from the moment you step inside, you and your friends will be captivated. The walls are adorned with stones and unique artwork, and the high ceilings give the impression of being on a vacation somewhere far away. While the food can be a bit expensive, the quality is exceptional, particularly the delectable bakery-style cakes. The seating is ample, though at times it may not be enough due to the popularity of the place. Parking is limited, so street parking is often necessary. Overall, it's a delightful spot for any occasion, with a brunch setup that is exquisitely designed. The aesthetics are truly top-notch. The food is good, though some may find it a bit pricey for what is served.

Pleasantly surprised. This place is literally a cafe, so you order in the front and then you walk in and have a seat. And the environment is very nice. I really like the atmosphere! It's pretty busy though but the bakery goods look pretty delicious. I had a breakfast, but my friends ordered waffles and everything was good. I recommend this place as a casual hangout!

A 4 star for the ambience! The ambience is amazing - the artwork, plants and set up. The entire cafe gives this chic, yet retro yet urban vibe. However, not much can be said for the meals. I had only pastries, because I was 6 minutes late to order brunch (one would think they’ll allow us to still order with the long line up they had, but that’s okay). I got two croissants and a banana bread - and in all honesty, I have had waaay better pastries from Safeway or Save on

Lovely spot with amazing conception! So spacious with high ceiling and skylights where natural lighting, a nice mini-tropical forest in the centre of the space, plenty of seating options including a concrete bench, modern decor, wide food and beverage options. Tried the chicken and waffles. Looks amazing! Chicken was tasty and cut into handy bitesize pieces. Waffles also were delicious. On the other hand, it’s pricey :( The LONG waiting time could upset you though. Looking forward to seeing more locations.

Had an enjoyable time here some days ago. Food was awesome and the service was great. The place itself was beautiful as well. The high ceilings give it a very spacious vibe. The place does get fairly busy so keep that in mind coming here. The line did go quickly but, there might be a 10-15 minute wait sometimes. We had the fried chicken and bulgogi breakfast platters. Both of these dishes were done really well and would definitely recommend. Loved the salads that came with these. My favorite would have to be the oreo waffle desssert though. This dish really shined as the waffle was absolutely perfect. From the batter to the texture, awesome job. Also, considering that this had oreo and ice cream, did not seem overly sweet to me which is a bonus. Thanks for the delicious food and great time. Keep up the good work!

First off, this place is the definition of aesthetically pleasing if you're looking for dessert filled "forest" cafe. The food is quite delicious with a variety of coffee, teas, desserts, and breakfast foods . My favorite so far is the fried chicken platter and their salted caramel macaron! Its more of a self serve place other than the servers bringing out your meal when its ready.

At first glance the place looks small, but as you enter it’s very spacious and pleasant, plenty of seating. Food is amazing, quality is up there. Generous portions, appropriately priced. Staff are friendly. I had the bacon waffles. Would’ve liked the bacon a bit crispy but i guess that’s on me, I didn’t specify. The desserts, oh wow. Definitely worth a return trip.

La Foret Is one of the best places if you want enjoy coffee and cakes. Like chocolate cake or cheese cake and they have more varieties. They have front and behind the cafe parking. The good thing about the cafe they have a beautiful planetary inside the cafe so you feel the nature while enjoying your coffee and cake.

Went on Saturday afternoon this place is huge and was packed with people. Staff was kind to look for table for us. We had a brunch platter a roll cake and a bulgogi beef burger, they were okay, not bad. The space was open and filled with greeneries. I would recommend come during weekdays when it’s not as busy so u will have a much nicer time and experience here.

I like this restaurant. Been wanting to try it for a few months already but never got the chance since there are long lines druing lunch hours. We went earlier around 9:30 AM so the restaurant is not full yet. A good place to get some pastries and cakes and also for brunch. If you go after 11 am, just expect to wait in line. Other than that, food is great.

Great brunch experience that had a cafe style service. The atmosphere was busy yet quiet enough for intimate conversations on a Friday morning. High ceilings combined with cedar wood and tropical plants makes the patisserie look very aesthetic. As for the food, the brunch plates I ordered were great although nothing too exceptional. A meal that you can expect, and perhaps make on your own if you had time. The pastries on the other hand, are probably more unique than other places. You can get squid ink (black coloured) bread!!

A cozy and relaxing destination to enjoy a cup of hot coffee with your love ones. Parking is hard to come by and you have to park on the streets if you intend to visit. I love their interior design and everything is pleasing to the eyes. Service, food and drinks are top notch. I highly recommend and encourage you to come check them out.

Amazing cakes and lunch food. We got a spicy bulgogi sandwich soft steamed bun and juicy meat. Rigatoni tomato sauce with olives was savoury and amazing. Corn soup paired wonderfully with grilled baguette. Strawberry shortcake was perfectly sweet. And the earl grey roll cake was balanced And a bag of to go bakery items for later. Can’t wait Line up starts at the door. About 10 min line Free Parking along Jubilee street. Huge shop can seat probably 150-200. Looks busy as you arrive but there is a person that helped reserve us a table. Great service. Comfortable experience despite the busyness. Very well run business and bakery. I wish more places were run like this.
