Confederation Park Dog Park

Dog park

👍👍 Love this park/area It has two different parks, one for big dogs and one for smaller dogs. Both fully enclosed though the large dog area is incredibly large. There’s lots of shade, grass spots and lots of space for them to run. There is also the off leash trail in the same location and it is really... People often mention park, dogs, area, leash, parking,

Very nice place.. especially for off lease. Short walk down to the steep edge by the rail way. No access to beach bc of railway. Magical forest. Ghosts of HUGE old growth trees. Absolute GIANTS. Biggest I've seen. Must have been one of the biggest & oldest of oldgrowth groves I'd say in the Pacific Northwest. Seriously. See my photos posted.

Decent. Winter gets awfully muddy, poor drainage. Mosquitoes sometimes. Dogs dont mind and really have fun playing though. Has water fountain for humans and dogs.

Nice trail for a walk. Plenty of parking available, and lots of things to do nearby.

Not ONE, but TWO dog parks! I like the idea of having a smaller fenced area for smaller sized dogs. It’s conveniently located next to the ‘one size fits all dogs’ in the Northeast corner of this huge North Burnaby park. Lots of trees for shade. Plenty of open areas for sun. If your pup isn’t ready to run with the big dogs, Confederation Park is a good destination.

Nice large off leash fenced dog park with open areas as well as treed areas. Can be very wet in the winter.

I didn't visit with a dog, as I don't have one, or even a cat (yet), as I was there for a Progressive Housing Society BBQ. As I'm 54, diabetic, and disabled, I wasn't really up for anything as strenuous as "fun," but it was reasonably enjoyable, especially with the cloudy afternoon we had. Dog-walkers would likely have a good time, there, and it's quite possible that taking a cat there would get one a few nuzzles, since cats and dogs only hate each other in cartoons, and when their humans teach them to do so (or when they have encounters with dogs who have been so trained, or traumatised cats).

A really good place to take your dog for either a hike or to an off leash dog park, there is a small dog off leash area and a bigger dog off leash area. Getting there was a bit confusing and finding parking was also a bit confusing. The parking area is before the park. But when gps takes you to the park it's too far to turn back and find parking.

Love this dog park! The people in the dog park were very nice, and so were their dogs! There weren’t many large dogs in the dog park. At first I was a little bit nervous to go in with my dog, because there were many small dogs in the large dog area, and my dog is HUGE, so I approached another dog owner to ask if it was okay to let my dog play with his dog, and he said “absolutely, by all means!” That’s when I know that I found the right place! My girl was so excited, she started running around with other dogs, and playing with them. I can tell that she was so happy! I just love the atmosphere. Even though this place was a little bit far from where I live, but it was definitely worth the travel!

Currently my favourite dog park. It has lots of space to run around. A good water source and a separate area for little dogs to play in.

Short dog friendly trail with easy access and parking. Trail is mostly flat but enclosed in the woods so make sure there's enough sunlight before going.

Great place for off leash. Easy to get to, has a small parking lot. Went at 11am and wasn't very busy. Easy walk about 1.75 km
