Burnaby Heights Park Off-Leash Enclosure

Dog park

🫤 Nice dry dog park in rainy season, but several reactive/resource guarding dog that seem to be regulars. Very tight community that often excuse the bad behavior of said dogs. Small curly haired black dog (labradoodle?) is VERY aggressive and has snarled and snapped at my dog. Also a couple small... People often mention dogs, park, water, area,

Nice dry dog park in rainy season, but several reactive/resource guarding dog that seem to be regulars. Very tight community that often excuse the bad behavior of said dogs. Small curly haired black dog (labradoodle?) is VERY aggressive and has snarled and snapped at my dog. Also a couple small/medium dogs that become very snappy and barky if any other dogs go near "their" ball.

Great hidden gem. Located at the top of Burnaby Heights with a great view of the North Shore and Burrard Inlet. This small, quiet park is enclosed by a fence. There is a water fountain near south gate that has a second fountain at dog height (turned off during winter). Super shy or antisocial dogs can also go to the fenced tennis courts next door for a quieter solo experience, just keep an eye on their paws as the new court surface can be a bit rough on them. Also note that the park tends to be quite snowy (if it's that kind of winter) due to it's higher elevation. There's also a public bathroom to the east which is open seasonally.

Great fully enclosed dog park with a combination of gravel and grass. There is no running water however, so be sure to bring some for your pup!

Beautiful view, several seating benches and a huge area for the dogs to run, walk, sniff, sit and lay down. :)

Fairly large dog park with access to water and gravel covered ground with grassy and treed areas. It was empty when we went there. Eventually, 2 more dogs entered...I'm sure we'll go back, especially if its raining. It has a beautiful scenery too.

It’s an average space to take your dog no grass but at lease it’s not a mud bowl. Works well to near other dogs off leash.

Nice enclosed neighborhood dog park. Good size, nice area. Would be very good if it had a water tap or fountain for the pooches!

Great open space for my dog to run around! I have a husky and I like how it's mostly gravel, so it doesn't get muddy. There are also grass parts for her to go potty which is also great. There is also a picnic bench if you want to sit around with your friends while your dogs are playing!

Basic, nice off-leash area, and a really lovely community of people and dogs. The view of the North Shore is gorgeous too. There are no lights after sunset, though, so we're finding visiting a bit harder after work in winter. It's still a good choice if Confederation Park is too muddy, though. Also remember to pack water, since the water fountain on the outside that we use to fill jugs is turned off after Nov 1st.

All gravel, fenced in, small grass area. Very large area for dogs to run, play fetch, and chase. Regular set of dogs that go there.

Well this is the best dog park in the area. We have been using it for about 6 years now. Perfect during rainy wet days, as the park is a sandy gravel base, so not too much access to mud. There are a few spots but even in the snow it rocked. Not a lot of shade if it is really hot and an amazing view of the North Shore Mountains.
