Trattoria is definitely worth a try on a Tuesday, which is when their pastas are $16. On any other day, it would not be worth it to pay above $20 for their pasta dishes. Otherwise, the portions are not bad and the Spaghetti and Signature Meatballs with truffle cream sauce and Short Rib Pappardelle were the highlights of our dinner.

I have been to Trattoria several times and have noticed that the service is not always the greatest. I waited 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and no one did. I then flagged down the manager (it seemed that he was the manager because he was not dressed like a server). I asked the server if he would be able to take our order and he kindly did. The manager was able to bring us our drinks and food in a timely manner. The server attended to us after the fact, but at that point we were almost ready to leave. I understand that restaurants get busy sometimes but 20 minutes is a long time to wait to be served. The food was delicious though. We came on Tratt Tuesday for their $16 pastas and were not disappointed by the food at all.

Had a great time at Trattoria’s late night happy hour! The happy hour antipasto platter is $30, and everything else on lunch and dinner menu is 20% off. We got the pasta platter to share and it was so good and filling! The gnocchi was my favorite. The drinks were also delicious. We shared a pitcher of white sangria ($25) and it was very refreshing. My friends tried the winter cocktails and they looked great!

We arrived around 7pm on a Monday evening with no reservation. I’d recommend making a reservation, or you will be likely seated at the bar or a window high-top. This was more of a quicker meal for us and we didn’t consider this as an experience. We ordered the Caesar salad, prosciutto, and pasta platter. Caesar salad - more of a run of the mill Caesar salad with packaged croutons, but still good! Prosciutto - I’d say this dish is overpriced but the forno bread that comes with this starter was quite lovely. Pasta platter - I’ll keep it concise. This is the best bank for your buck. All delicious, though we preferred some more than others. PS: we were offered fresh grated Parmesan table-side, which was a great benefit. We only finished half of it and packaged the rest for home!

Food is good. BUT, portion is really small for myself. Same order for my colleagues, bigger bowl and much larger portion. Felt half full after done in 5mins. Didn’t bother to order more. Asked waitress, she dismissed me by saying it’s by weight not by bowl type. Definitely not what I want to hear. Also 18%tip auto included for our group of 12. Was not intending to pay tip. Paid 28.5 for a pasta lunch half-full. Not a great experience.

Ordered the short ribs & pasta , food was relatively good (small portion IMO for $25) The mushrooms were extremely tasty We had a table of about 20 people & only 1 server she did exceptionally well considering she was alone. However it was taking 30 mins + to get drinks We had the same party previous weekend at another restaurant (across the street) they maintained everything with 2 servers. I’d probably go here again but never with a large party.

My friend decided to take me out for my Birthday, as this was my first trip to Vancouver/Burnaby! We came across this local restaurant through Google. Rebekah, our waitress, and the two men that helped her were amazing and so friendly! We had the spaghetti and meatballs and Gelato for dessert! I have never had such good Italian food or service before! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a restaurant that has an entire staff of helpful and charismatic people, with insanely tasty food to boot! P.s. They even got us seated right away, on an insanely busy night! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

I had the ragu which I thought was very well done. Prices are a little high but they have a pasta Tuesday deal which is well worth it. Beautiful dishware. We had great service! Parking can be tricky on the street level but there’s pay parking underground.

Not many people for dinner. I feel their brunch is better. We ordered two kinds of platters. Food is a bit salty. Paid $4 for 2 hours underground parking. In pandemic, you want to stay as much time as you can to meeting with friends & family. If the restaurant could offer free parking, I think it'll be more popular.

Average service and food at best. We were seated in an extremely dark area of the restaurant even though there were other tables available. My pasta was overcooked and not al dente. I found the meatballs salty. The server knocked my bag off my chair as he was walking around us. We waited waaaay too long for our tiramisu. Multiple servers bugged us about a plate that we were slow to finish as we were having a conversation. Not recommended.

It was a pleasant experience, from beginning to end. First off, booking a reservation was simple and hassle-free. Once my party arrived for our dinner, we were seated right away. Our waiter explained the Tuesday Trattoria deals and the special off-menu items. We decided to go for it, which I am glad we did because it was really delicious at a good value. Also, the service we recieved from all the staff members was fast and friendly. I highly recommend checking them out!

One of the best places where you can taste authentic dishes and enjoy what you order from the menu! Everything was excellent: taste, flavor, service, the staff's attitude, the restaurant's cleanliness, the ambiance, and finally the price. The Caesar salad lacked dressing, or perhaps had too little of it. If you request, they will likely give you extra. Thank you to your outstanding management and staff team.

If you've never been to Trattoria, know that they have a great pasta Tuesday special for $16. We ordered the fennel sausage orecchiette and short rib pappardelle. I'm not sure why the pappardelle isn't on their regular menu anymore (we were lucky it was the special pasta of the day). Their pastas are really good but so is their creamy Caesar salad. Brussels sprouts were fried up on point too. Like most places, their menu used to be larger and I miss some of their other items.

I recommend you make dinner reservations especially if it’s close to the weekend. We missed the happy hour which is from 2 – 5 pm or from 9 pm til closing. They have a good selection on the menu. The best value was the 3 type of platter dishes – 1) Antipasto – enough for 2 to 3 people 2) Pasta platter – looked delish but no one wanted to share with me 3) Carne platter. I saw other tables ordering the antipasto platter so we did the same. Our other diner had the braised lamb with risotto. The meat was cooked to perfection (the meat fell off the bone) as promised by our server. Another diner had a popular spaghetti and meatballs in truffle cream. There was something about the meatballs that wasn’t wowing. Service was great especially asking the server for recommendations. If you can’t choose, ask your server. The challenge is parking. There is no free parking. They’re located on the busy intersection on the northeast corner of Willingdon and Kingsway. Not far from Metrotown Mall.

I had looked the restaurant up on TripAdvisor and saw only a couple reviews, decided to take a chance and we were pleasantly surprised, our waitress Rebecca was lovely. She made some recommendations and we enjoyed our choices, I had ceasar salad and linguine and my husband had the crepes salad and spaghetti and meatballs with truffle sauce, delicious. We pair dinner with a bottle of tenuta di arceno and shared a dessert. Lovely meal, lovely ambiance,.

Aug. 15/23 Came with friends who mentioned as one of their favourite pasta places, especially on $16 Tuesdays or 20% off Fridays. We went for lunch, arriving just before the noon rush on a Tuesday. We didn’t make a reservation as it was a weekday and our friends have never needed to. We were asked if we had one (No) and so I asked if we needed one, the gentleman seating us answered back “ we’ll try our best to accommodate you”….there was maybe 6 other people seated at the time. Our server was efficient, filling water glasses, taking orders after 10 min or so, checking if everything was alright and refilling glasses 2 more times even though it was filling up quite quickly for the lunch rush. We all ordered from the $16 pasta menu + the special of the day and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked, fresh made pastas…tasty and perfect portion size. The Prawn Linguini Gamberi really stood out with its large prawns (5)….all for $16!! Regularly $27. Lots of seating left and right of entrance and an upstairs area as well. Impressive wall of wine selections. There’s a beautiful pizza oven in the centre of the right side of restaurant. The outside patio area in front is a good size but today was way too hot, inside is nicely air conditioned without being too chilly. Pay parking on the street only. Highly recommend but sounds like reservations are a good idea.

Honestly was not impressed. The calamari was bland. Brought out the wrong salad.. but fixed it immediately which is fine... ceasar salad was good but the chicken was dry. The server did NOT do a food quality check. I wouldn't come back.

Came for their $16 pastas on Tuesdays and it was packed! Very popular night. The restaurant is very large and very attractive with two stories and a big bar area near the entrance. Tried their bolognese and the carbonara. Would not have the carbonara again but the bolognese was quite good and the portions were great too.

Great vibes and $15 pasta tuesdays, as well as cheap sangrias. What is there to dislike? Service has also been prompt and friendly. If you come on tuesdays it is recommended to get a reso to guarantee a spot, otherwise you may expect a wait during dinnertime. Patio is lovely during the summer. Restaurant also does a great job with covid safety standards and vaccination passports. One of my go to spots for happy hour or a quick hangout spot after work 😌

I had spaghetti and meatballs which was a pretty good portion. The meatballs were large and juicy. however the whole meal together tasted a bit too salty and the end. Glady I did order a raspberry lemonade mocktail to wash the salty aftertaste out.

Ordered my favourite truffle spaghetti & meatballs for me & my son. I am not sure what happened to this pasta that day but it’s quite lacking the flavour, even the meatballs. We just came from swimming so my son was devouring it already. I always order this at Trattoria this since Cactus removed their truffle spaghetti from their menu. I know what it usually taste like, this one we got today needs more flavour. I also ordered a Caesar’s salad. It was fresh but that was the most stalky (the white crunchy mid-part of the lettuce leaf) caesar salad I have ever had. I don’t know what it’s called. The dressing they put was very light so I had to ask for extra and there’s a charge for extra dressing. I told the server it was not enough so she didn’t charge me for it. The server was very attentive and very nice. I was starving so I devoured the salad too before deciding I need extra dressing. It was like eating plain lettuce at first. 😂 Overall, me & my son satisfied our hunger. Today, food was 3 stars. Service was 5 star.

Came here for dinner and everything we ordered tasted delicious. Service was thoughtful too. The only thing I would suggest to management is to filter the table water that is offered because it smelled and tasted stale and pretty bad.

Amazing ambiance, amazing food, amazing people! It was my second time at Trattoria Burnaby and decided to bring my hubby for our 14th-year Wedding Anniversary. From the cocktails to the dessert to the service, if I were in a musical play, it was perfect symphony at best. Will be back again and again and again! Kudos to STEVE for the best service ever! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My party arrived fairly late, around 8pm. There were still a good number of people dining in but it wasn't super busy. Our server was personable, friendly, and helpful. The food was hot and fresh, no complaints about anything we got. The spaghetti and meatballs with truffle cream sauce was fantastic as always 👌. One person in my party was from out of town and he requested a place with "cheese, pizza, pasta, and low lighting" and he said that this was exactly what he was looking for. Great atmosphere, wonderful place for date night or just a group get-together.

Would recommend going in a Tuesday night for the $16 pasta special. Nice venue and great service. Food was pretty good, I really liked the doughnut dessert.

The place was amazing we chose to sit outdoors and they helped adjust the umbrellas so the sun was not in our face. The staff was wonderful, our waitress kept refilling our water and checking if we liked the food, she also gave us some (vegetarian) recommendations , and we loved everything we tried. We were a group of 3. For starter we had Bruschetta، then we had a Margherita Pizza and Linguini Alfredo Pasta, for dessert we ordered Tiramisu and Zeppole Al Cioccolato (4 warm donuts stuffed with choloate) we also had one bottle of sparkling water. Our bill was less than 70 CAD. I will definitely be coming again and bringing friends and family. I only remembered to take pictures when the food was half gone 🤣 I strongly recommend this place.
