Went for a nice family dinner and the food was fantastic! The whole family loved it. Our server recommended we go with the two course Peking duck, and it was absolutely worth it! The stir fry filling in lettuce wraps was to die for. Peking duck skin was crispy and overall delicious. Chowmein was also amazing. Family also liked the General Taos chicken which was more western...but very tasty. Will come back again and again.

I just tried the Chinese-style butter chicken at Chongqing restaurant on Kingsway and it was absolutely amazing! The dish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a great texture. The meat was juicy, flavorful, and not at all greasy. The butter chicken was really tasty and satisfying. I loved the texture and flavor of this dish, and the presentation was also very pleasing to the eye. The dining experience at Chongqing restaurant on Kingsway was really enjoyable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I was really happy with my meal and would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves great food.

We started going/ordering from ChongQing in 2017, the food was great and we never thought on going to any other of their locations. However, to us, the quality of the food has changed significantly, some of the items like the deep fried spicy squid was super oily and the sweet and sour spare ribs had more bone than meat on it. Even the take out packaging has changed, it used to be in boxes with the items very well organized. The last time we order, the food came in plastic bags and plastic containers. It seems that the management of this business has been changed.

Perfect dine in restaurant during this time. Very well spaced, and menu can be viewed online or paper. Foods were served so quickly and fresh. It took about 10 minutes. The lemon chicken is so unique. It looks like chicken cutlet with sauce on the top. It was delicious and crispy. Egg fuyong was mildly flavored and soft. I expected it to be little crispy on the surface and gravy. But there was no option for sauce . I loved the portion of shrimp in the egg fuyong. Beef with black bean sauce was mediocre. The pieces of vegetable were too big. And flavor was not intense enough compare to the color of sauce. Overall, it was good dining experience. We will visit again for other cuisines as well :)

This restaurant has been around for years.. It is not a big restaurant with 5 booths, 1 large table and a banquet against the window with various 2 tops and 4 tops. Parking in front. They have an extensive lunch menu. The staff is efficient and friendly, for a Wednesday afternoon, the restaurant is 90% full with mix of clientele. Not all asians as I assumed. I ordered the Seafood Crispy Noodles including the Hot and Sour Soup. The food comes out fast, the soup is flavourful with the numbing spicy effect but the consistency is more like gravy, which is too thick to my liking. The Seafood Crunchy noodles indeed was very crunchy with 2 prawns, 2 pieces of small fried fish, 2 super chewy squid and a handful of eraser sized scallops and Bok Choy. The sauce over the noodles has the flavour but the seafood is bland, however again, the sauce, I suspect is made with an abundance of corn starch, so it’s super thick. At the end of the meal, you can literally see the sauce congealing into solid jelly. I do like the attentiveness of the staff, there were 3 servers always walking around, clearing and cleaning tables. They have their own napkins printed, and at the end of the meal, you get a fortune cookie, which reminds me of the old visit to their Broadway location when we used to eat there in the 80s. Most Chinese restaurants don’t offer fortune cookies anymore.

Excellent customer service. Very professional. Makes you feel you are eating at home. Chong quing Beef is one of our favorites and black bean beef with fried noodles another one of our favorites. Chef customized both dishes by not putting any salt as per our request. The food was delicious, and tasty. Highly recommended. Thank you kindly.

It's not really Chongqing food but more of a pan-Chinese restaurant. Nevertheless, the food was surprisingly flavourful and as someone from southern China, I enjoyed the taste. The servers were quite pleasant too!

This place has some of the best sweet and sour pork I've had in Burnaby. The lunch menu is fairly big and comes with soup. Everything was very tasty and reasonably priced. I will definitely be coming back : )

Exactly what I wanted. Western style Chinese food. Everything was saucy, delicious and greasy as expected. The honey garlic ribs were really good. If you're looking for an authentic Chinese food, this may not be it. But we will absolutely be back whenever we're craving for that quick comfort and familiar Chinese food.

Tried this restaurant for the first time. Reviews are mixed so I thought I'd try their popular dishes. Mongolian Beef, Lemon Chicken, Chicken Fry Rice and Mixed Vegetables Stir Fry. The Mongolian beef was pleasant surprise. Tasted great and good heat. Spice wasn't over powering. Fry rice and vegetables stir fry was good but take out containers was a bit on the small side for the price you pay. Lemon Chicken was moist and flavourful, wished there was a bit more crunch but happy with the food nonetheless.

Ordered through Uber eats, it was probably the worst western Chinese food I have ever tasted. Half Peking duck was just six duck skin pieces unevenly teared. Ginger beef and deep fried ribs were dry and hard; the texture reminds me of dog chewing treats. All the dishes were oily. The menu price is on the cheaper side but I rather pay more to have some decent taste. AVOID...

The food portion is massive. I was surprised how big the amount is. we definitely over ordered, not knowing the size only had 4 ppl ordered 7 dishes, lol. The food came very fast, and the service was very fast. I'm definitely coming back when I am in Vancouver . The food tastes good as they look.

I ordered ginger beef and a small rice to go. It costs $23.50. They didn't put any utensils like chopsticks or a fork. How can I eat it? Isn't it ridiculous? I won't be back to this restaurant.

twice in a row not that I got my take out order from Kingsway and Nelson location. The first was really hard and anyone could tell that the meat has been heat and freeze so many time but I tried to be understanding. Today I order again, and the beef was really sour, disgusting taste. Never ever again to this Location

Good service re attentive. Value to food portion is fair. Fried rice special is good. Noodle somewhat too much soya sauce. Wonton was good and taste homemade.

Lisa was amazing and it was my birthday she made it memorable with her great service. My girls were super excited with the treats they got at the end. Had a wonderful dinner with my family. Highly recommended.

Not sure I could be much happier. We walked in the restaurant and were seated right away. It was later in the evening but there were still some people in here. Excellent service. Water and tea right away and our food came promptly and it was also excellent. My daughter had the Shanghai Noodles whcih she loved and I had the Ginger Beef which was also excellent. Water and tea kept filled without asking and great portion sizes and grrat proces.

First time and very disappointed...the food has no flavor...I ordered Mongolian beef it was unflavored and very oily.My thong got numb for all the spices, you are unable to taste the rest of the food, even the spring rolls no tasty at all...the only good thing was the fried rice and the chaumin but if I'm going to pay 20 dollars per plate , I prefer to go to the food court , it is cheaper and tastes better. I appreciated the good service of the server staff:)

I would Normally give this is restaurant 5 stars.. it’s my favourite place for good quality great tasting food. I’ve ordered this item numerous times in the past and it was very good This time the fried eggplant was inedible!! It looked great, but I think they poured a quarter cup of chili oil over the top absolutely ruining it.
