Absolutely disgusting manager. Top tier scumbag

Great place for spending quality time with friends. However, the manager consistently shows disrespect, rudeness, and discourtesy to me and my friends with his poor behaviour. Can quickly turn my night from amazing to awful.

The restaurant is great, but the manager really needs to work on his customer service skills. He is truly rude without reason. Every time I’ve came in to Hop and Vine and he wasn’t working, it was unproblematic but I find when he’s working there’s always something that ruins what would otherwise be a great experience.

Terrible customer service . Server with curly hair and manager extremely rude. The server sat us down then asked for my ID. I was on a walk and was hungry so I decided to stop for happy hour. So I decided to stop there , we sat down and the sever asked for my ID and I said unfortunately I do not have it but I have photos of my passport and drivers license. I’m well over the age of 19, and they kicked us out of the restaurant and I wasn’t allowed to eat. I have shown photos of my IDs on my phone before to other places with no issues. I didn’t even want to drink any alcohol just wanted to eat .instead of kicking us out they could have given us takeout if we weren’t allowed to eat in the resto. Terrible customer service and do not recommend. Will never be coming back.

Great neighborhood pub with great food. There is a free parking lot in the place. Really nice atmosphere. Reasonable prices. They also have Alcohol store. Highly recommended.

My partner and I recently moved into the neighborhood and decided to check out the local pub the Hop and Vine yesterday with some friends. Fantastic menu with lots of variety and I really enjoyed their house burger. We ended up sharing some of the appetizers, and everything was super delicious. The spinach dip was really good and so were their onion rings! Lots of great beers on tap, and lots of different varieties of beer and other beverages as well. Reasonably priced with excellent portion sizes. The wait staff was super friendly and service was also quick. We plan on coming back a lot more now!

Local pub with daily food or drink specials, and a great beer selection. Fair service. I really wanted to like the food here. However, each time I’ve visited I’ve found the food to be very greasy (especially brunch), and many dishes pile on the cheese and meat- to a point where I’m picking through to find a few bites of other ingredients. Each time I leave thinking that the meal could have been great if only a few changes had been made to make it lighter, the flavours more distinct, more vegetables. Very few vegetarian options, no vegetarian burger options. I won’t be returning for food. Update 2021: Sounds like they've added a Beyond Meat burger to the menu! That earns an extra star in my books

Absolutely amazing I will be going here on my happiest of days and they will continue to marinate in joy. Very good & very nice.

A great little pub to hit after work. Absolutely love the food and great waiters n waitressess who remembers your order from the last time you've been there. Update: this place is still great. It's been almost 2 years and we still frequently go here. This is our go to place about 75% of our weekend outings. We love the service, we love the food, its still great!

NO MINORS ALLOWED. I realize that perhaps their permit doesn't allow, but no children being allowed in this heavily family centric neighborhood is pretty disappointing.

I have frequented this place quite a bit over the last few years and have never had any problems. The menu is decent and the staff are friendly. I tried their Taco Tuesday special quite a while ago and it was SO BLOODY GOOD that I couldn’t wait to get it again (they have a regular prawn taco dish on the menu that doesn’t even compare). By some miracle, I finally have a spare Tuesday after work today and pop in to order these tacos to-go, only to be told by the bartender that they don’t do to-go orders for the special. I was bummed out and asked if there was a reason for that. It was explained to me that the tacos are cheap “to bring customers in to drink”. As someone who worked in the service industry for many years, I totally understand needing to bring in business…but turning away someone who wants to pay you for your service is just wild to me and is the reason I gave 4 stars as opposed to 5. I would suggest giving customers an option for takeout price. I would have gladly paid the entree price for these tacos and tipped generously since they’re so damn tasty. Unfortunately, considering to-go isn’t an option, I’m not sure when I’ll be able to make it in again.

It's a little bit hidden but thanks to Google Maps I found it close to a place I was at. Good service, good prices on the happy hour and the appetizers may be good for that, I ordered tacos and felt fine after that, and half the price during happy hour. Now, what I didn't like, and This is a BIG NO, is the fact that during COVID19 they are not wearing any masks. The servers should have masks on them. We can't because we are eating and drinking but come on guys! Isn't the owner on board with the protocols to avoid COVID19 ? He should be fined. ** Update : Another issue. I was offered 50% discount on the happy hour. I asked to confirm 3 times and was told so. When i got the bill, it was only 20% off. Now multiply that for all the food you asked and you get a bigger bill. Please why all that ? The place has potential.

A really fine neighborhood pub where the burgers are thick and handmade, service was very decent and the cozy, comfy bar design. Obviously, we'll kept up and established years running. 20oz beers, $7.50,you don't see that anywhere and the selection is quite good. It's a Go There nod from me!

Just Ok neighbourhood pub, they have Keno and some variety beer but not much in the way of cider which is what I was looking for. We've been twice now for a late lunch. Food was mostly meh, fries weren't great. Got burger specials one day and they weren't anything special but were a couple bucks cheaper. Wings were overdone and the bbq sauce we didn't care for at all. Kalamari was ok. Caesar salad half size was big enough for sharing. Might try one more visit but not sure what to order as so far everything but the kalamari and Caesar salad aren’t tempting me for a 2nd round.

It is located right beside of pup and nearby a golf course. Even though it’s a small liquor shop but I was surprised at it’s varieties. They are cheaper then other liquor shop. I will visit here more often to stack up some wines 😆

Awesome little local pub! Great atmosphere, good selection of beers on tap, lots of local selection. Staff were friendly and the food was really good! Our group ordered a good selection of the menu and we were all super happy! Cant wait to go back again soon!

Beyond meat burger was great! Surf and turf is top notch and the Salmon tempera was lovely. Strange flavour on the slaw though. Prices are good, Covid restrictions adhered to but they don’t take info for contact tracing. This is probably the greatest downfall in current times. Our server was AMAZING!

Great little pub in Burnaby by Burnaby Mountain Golf Course. Signage for Covid was clear and displayed for all to see. The food is great! I had potato and bacon soup with a sandwich, and my friend had the beef dip. The server was pleasant and was able to handle a busy lunch crowd. All in all, this is a decent pub to grab a drink and some food.

Nice place close to home. Food has really gone downhill and wouldn't recommend much other than a few of their appetizers. Service staff is always friendly, but the manager always just lurks around and doesn't talk much or checks to see how people are doing. There is always the same crowd of regulars, which has really ruined what could be a great place. Not a very classy group of people and they just drink, talk loudly/try to get into a conversation and smoke on the outside patio. The drink prices are fair and they do have a good selection, place just needs to be cleaned up a bit.

This place is like ‘Cheers’. All staff are absolutely amazing and the service is next level. They remember your drinks or preferences. Even the liquor store staff are awesome. Don’t expect Michelin star food, put some hot sauce on, shut up and drink your beer. Who comes to the pub for food anyways?

Had a Team lunch at Hop & Vine yesterday, and the seven of us all really enjoyed it. The pizza looked legit and drew favorable comments from the eater, likewise for the burgers and beef dip, and my chicken clubhouse and side salad were great. Nice venue as well, all West Coast cedar. SOLID selection of craft beers, as you'd expect from the name.

It's a pretty standard "Irish" style pub atmosphere. Our server was friendly and prompt, we got beers and a couple appies, i asked about a sour cherry cola beer, and was offered a sample, it was good. We got sticky garlic spare ribs and the prawns. Prawns were greasy, but both dishes tasted amazing. Would order either again. This was my second time here, first experience was similar.

Good food and good beer. Prices seem decent on the beers. Parking lot is oddly configured but usually ample space. There's a nearby liquor store and convenience store as well. Covid precautions being taken pretty seriously in here which is a good thing. Definitely a good place to meet up in the area.

I come here semi regularly for drinks and pub food. No complaints at all. This location is a very nice local spot and I hope it stays around awhile. Service is always friendly & personal. Drink & shareables prices are some of the best around Burnaby if you are looking for an affordable night out.

I liked it, I would go again to meet up with friends. I don't think I would make it a special trip for a dinner date. It has pretty typical pub atmosphere and offers pub food. The food was good and my salad was very fresh. Servers were attentive and kind.

This little whole in the wall was fantastic...I would say, a old-school pub (awesome) that has great staff and great food. The beer/wine/drink selection is on point. Check it out.

This place is great anytime of day, but their brunch menu on weekends and holidays is absolutely a must try. Very reasonably priced, good portions, and good tasting food! Their pizza is my go to when brunch isn’t available.

Great attentive, friendly service. A fantastic local pub with affordable pricing and really tasty eats. Huge menu with a great selection! They've gained a new regular with me. Also, they have our favorite prosecco here that no other restaurant seems to carry. Villa Teresa is the best! They've replaced their previous bar manager with a really nice guy too, if you've had a bad experience in the past like my girlfriend has.

I recently visited this pub and restaurant, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The customer service was abysmal, with a waiter who exhibited rudeness throughout my visit. From the moment I entered, there was an evident lack of courtesy. The waiter, in particular, was dismissive and unhelpful. Requests for assistance or clarification were met with impatience and a complete disregard for customer satisfaction.

I always go here when I work nearby. Food has always been good, service has always been friendly and good. Went for lunch recently in a while and found out the pool table isn't free anymore! Only complaint. We used to spend 2 hours playing pool instead of going back to work.

A great neighbourhood pub. Every time I’ve been I enjoy the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the good food. Prices are very reasonable and the quality is always there. Expansive beer selection and a well balanced menu, you will surely enjoy your visit to this cozy gem.

Red headed guy was our server - nice guy, quick and attentive - 4 stars for him. One star for the ironically anemic prime rib sandwich. Not enough meat, not enough flavour. Mostly bread. Highschool cafeteria quality beef dip.

I visit this place once every 2-3 months with my rec basketball team on the night of the last game of a season. One of a very few places that’s open until midnight. Food is great with a large variety of wings and great nachos, good selection of beers and other drinks. But the bast thing is absolutely amazing service!

Well the company and food were Great. The lady server in our case made the visit really worthwhile. Yes super service and a good drive from Richmond. Great to meet up with friends and only one beer for me. Thanks. I'll be back.

Awesome little bar. Foods good, staff are friendly, and they play great tunes! They have a nice outside patio area that’s pretty private. Highly suggest the spinach dip!

Was here with a large group and it was a nice day so we sat outside. The food was OK as was the service. My low rating is because although they have no smoking signs along the inside wall of the patio, they place ashtrays smack in the middle of the entire patio! Cigarette smoke does NOT go straight up, it goes sideways right into the faces of other people. Catch up with the times and make the patio non-smoking. We would have stayed for a couple of extra beers after we ate, but the smoking is what made us leave and go spend the rest of the evening (and our money) at another patio that we didn't have to put up with that.

The food her is awesome, and some excellent beers on tap. Pretty small place, but it's a true neighborhood pub. Great, homely feeling.

What a terrible liquor store, staff just stand there, it's dusty and I got no help. The owner should be ashamed.

Nice little hidden gem

Great little neighborhood pub! Have stopped here for a beer and food after mountain biking and after a round of golf. Also a nice place to catch a game or just hang out on the patio.

3 stars for the waitress who looks like she hates her life and didn’t bother looking straight to us. We like the place and hope for waiters with positive attitudes.

Been a couple times now, staff is very friendly, drinks are on point. Food is very good or mediocre, but the staff will help you choose the best thing. Just wish they had one night of karaoke.

Great hidden little Gem

It was a good experience coming here on a Sunday night. Weird parking lot configuration, it works. Only a few other groups here, not too busy. Food and drinks are moderately priced, and taste good. They have pool table, dartboard and board games for people to use. There's also a patio at the back which would be nice once weather warms up. If you fancy drinks to-go, restaurant is attached to the liquor store, where you can shop.

Very friendly servers. Comfortable ambience. I usually go late on weekdays so it is not crowded. Nice drinks and food. Love their burger, fries and onion rings. They also have Wednesday wing nights and other daily specials - very good deals.

Love this spot! We swing by every few months for a late-night treat. They serve up delicious wings, killer nachos, and a great drink selection. Plus, the service is top-notch!
