The sushi itself was pretty tasty and seemed pretty fresh and looks rad aesthetically. However, the miso soup was unfortunately really overly-salty and tasted very processed or from a sachet. The staff are super friendly and very nice. I hope it's only due to COVID that they give you cheap disposable chopsticks and sachets of soy sauce as it feels more like a takeout which is not what you expect when dining in. The huge bummer for me about this joint was the absurdly disgusting stench of cigarettes when going to the restroom which makes me very nervous about their hygiene standards and practice. Support local businesses!

I recently had a fantastic dining experience with Hon Sushi, even though I had my meal delivered. The Kimchi and Ham fried rice was a burst of flavors, perfectly balanced and utterly delicious. The sushi was a masterpiece, with each piece showcasing the freshest ingredients and melting in my mouth. The combination of the savory fried rice and the exquisite sushi was a match made in heaven. Despite being delivered, the flavors and quality were exceptional. Quite decent, more like a 3.5⭐️ Taste is okay, not amazing but not horrible. They have a very large menu, and also korean dishes. The items I ordered tasted good but not amazing, kinda what I expected for the price! Also service here is quite poor. It's a solid sushi restaurant near Metro, but definitely not on the top of my list if I want sushi near Metro. Would recommend if you want cheap and better quality than Sushi Garden with more varieties

I love when restaurants have a bell on the table to ask for help or the bill, and this is one of those. I enjoyed the combo of sushi with rolls and miso soup, a great portion for someone very hungry. Green tea is included, the decoration is really nice, the staff is kind and the place is not noisy at all.

Order delivery since they have some special deals. Overall sushi tasted very good. Generous on the fish portion.

Very reasonable prices I come here very often and really enjoy getting the party tray for me and my family. The servers are very kind and I enjoy how fast they bring out the food. Good place to relax with others since it is never super busy and has a nice atmosphere. (:

The rolls were ok, a little dry. Kid liked the gyozas. I liked the gomae. Don't waste your money on the avocado salad. You can make it at home. Lots of iceberg lettuce, 1 baby tomato, couple of super thin sliced cucumber, and thin slices avocado.

The food is great! The BC rolls are fantastic with rich, fatty skin that has been crisped to perfection. Everything that came to our table looked, smelled, and tasted amazing! The choose 3 items combo is an incredible value. The downside is that service was slow. The first part of our meals came out and then there was a lengthy wait for the remainder. It was over an hour after sitting down that we got all of our food.

I’ve ordered take out a few times and Hon Sushi is consistently good. I love their fried chicken! Recently celebrated a friend’s birthday so dined in with a group of 10. I really like the space! It’s great for large or small groups. The sushi rolls were generously sized and looked delicious. My friend liked her tuna tataki, also a generous portion. The vegetable and prawn tempura were sooo good. Very light crispy batter. I ordered the spicy salmon sashimi and loved it.

One of the few places I’ve found in Vancouver that has Atlantic salmon instead of just wild / sockeye salmon! As a salmon lover, I really enjoy the Alaska combo and salmon sashimi and have ordered them several times. The prawn tempura is good, and I didn’t much enjoy the deep fried California Roll when I tried it once.

Yesterday I ordered spicy rolls combo.through Uber.When I opened th box it’s looked horrible and smelled bad.This is first time I ordered and got really disappointed.Salmon smells very bad ,my kids said it’s very bad.Then I tried and feel not good.all I taste it’s horrible and kind of bad smelled rolls.whole box in my fridge I like to take it and show to the store, owner.And they also addd soup on the side I sm sorry but we didn’t even open the soup.as a costumer I had bad experience.And I don’t recommend others to try.I hope you guys take this advise and work for the quality,freshness,tast and visual look of the food you serve to people.

First time here. Bigger restaurant as it's on the second floor. Staff is pretty attentive, food was nice and fresh. Not too busy so no resos are needed. Overall would definitely return if I was nearby and craving some sushi. I also do recommend to those who are in the area and like sushi to give this place a try.

Sushi here is consistently very good. Good portion sizes vs. price as well. Wait staff are always friendly and food comes in a timely manner.

Love this sushi store! Amazing service, amazing staff, nice food. I went to hon sushi for couple times before I write this review. Every time when I order takeouts, they invited me in to take a sit at a regular table and offered me drinks, this is not something I normally receive at other restaurants. It not a big deal but it shows their respect to you and the hospitality to do business with any customer. The service is outstanding and I felt I am treated with caring hearts. The food quality is not bad, above average at this price point. I don’t like sushi so I never really ordered any. The sashimi is fresh and good quality, again for how much you paid. There is a barrier between each table, you are close to other customers but you still get that privacy, I don’t know if that is how its designed for, it achieved this purpose. The entire place is clean, and I only wish the owner put a little more thinking on how to light the place, the atmosphere could be much better with just a little change. Overall, it’s a nice choice if you want Japanese/Korean style food. You won’t regret any dime spent here. I’ll definitely come here for sure next time. And I do recommend you to try it out.

This place has always been consistent with their dishes. We always ordered for delivery, so I'm not sure what dining in would be like. My husband enjoys the chicken yakisoba from here and the chicken tonkatsu. Their rolls and nigiri always tasted fresh and the packaging was always secured and our order was always correct. Would definitely order from this place again.

Friendly service, great roll sizes. Well spaced out restaurant. I spa is for parking and saw the sign at the table that they have 24 Hour Free reserved parking. Roll special for 3 items is $15 which is a great deal since they are large rolls. Miso soup and their tea is tasty.

Went to this restaurant after getting sushi takeaway. We were impressed with the service and the food. Well priced. Ignore the decor as it is dated but did not remove anything from the quality of the food. I would recommend a trip to this place.

The extra star is for staying open late until 11pm and for our very nice server. The food served here is a 6/10. Very average but for late night in Burnaby the sake made it a lot better lol. They have a choose 3 items for $15.99 menu which we thought was a very good value. As you can see in my pictures they served decent size portions. We were shocked when we got 6 gyozas lol we figured only 4. Check out how much ag tofu is in the bowl. Usually half that amount every where else.
