A very nice laid back, cozy joint in a great location between Denman and Davie. We got the MGM muffin to share which was also tasty. I like the Rustic vibe of muffins served in their original baking trays. I like JJ Beans approach to a minimalistic and stress free environment, although I wish the menu was posted better as it's tiny right at the front of the line so by the time you come to order you feel quite rushed. Cappucino art is totally dope, hats off to the baristas it looked and tasted super yummy!

The customer service and quality of drinks has gone down at this location recently. The staff are very unfriendly and make no effort to make the customer feel welcome. No effort is put into making drinks, instead doing things as fast as possible. I don’t expect a latte made by quickly pouring the espresso and steamed milk into a cup and calling it done from JJ Bean. That’s more of a cheap coffee shop or machine-made way to make it. I hope they bring their level of service back to the JJ Bean quality again soon.

Each JJ Bean store has it own character, and this one has a bad attitude! The staff are rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. Store cleanliness could be improved. I feel like this has been the case over the last 3 years at a least, having lived beside this JJ Bean for over 5 years. Overall I wish to support the JJ Bean group, I enjoy their food and drinks, but today is the last I will go to this coffee shop after another very poor customer service experience.

This is easy the best place to have a coffee in Vancouver. The coffee is hand down the best roast in the area. As a Brazilian I praise a very good coffee, and this has become my favorite. I recommend the cappuccino, which is perfectly balanced. You can feel the fruity notes of the coffee, they are crystal clear. The mocha is the best all around, the chocolate does not shadow the fruity coffee. Perfectly balanced. Furthermore, the atmosphere of the place itself is perfect for a morning coffee or a coffee after lunch. What amazes me the most is that it is reasonably priced.

Great tasting coffee. I ordered the double shot flat white, and it tasted amazing as it is always at most jj beans. Also ordered a banana bread which was not good, very hard on the sides and not soft in the middle‌, didn't taste fresh. The design of the outside of the coffee shop is really nice and unique, and the inside of the coffee shop was just okay. I loved the stones on the walls, but the seating with all the dividers wasn't pleasant and welcoming.

Quiet, clean, pleasant atmosphere, located in Downtown, near the beach and outdoor seating area. Problem: no free wifi, no power outlet.

Great service, lovely “Traditional Cappuccino” - rich velvety foam and not too hot (barista heats to around 130F). Friendly and good ambience, perfect neighbourhood coffee stop.

Delicious coffee and handcrafted beverages & fresh baked goodies that stack up well to the fancier bakeries. Great vegan and gluten free food options. This location has a bit more of a cozy neighborhood feel, with the same great food and beverages as other locations.

Coffee and tea are made well here, and service is always friendly and welcoming. Pastries are hit and miss. Atmosphere wise, it's not really a warm and cozy spot to sit down.

The roasted coffee is really good one of the best vanilla latte I tasted in the town. The matcha latte is ok

J.J. Bean on Bidwell is the place to go for freshly brewed dark roast. I always have a drk. roast with Soy. J.J. Bean's on Bidwell is the Hub in the west end and you will likely run into a few of your friends while waiting to order. Creativity over flows at J.J. Bean on Bidwell.

I love their coconut yogurt, it’s so tasty and fully filling me in the morning. Their coffee is consistently good. One thing that I’m disappointed is that they sometimes have good fruity cold brew and sometimes they don’t so it tastes like just iced drip coffee..🥺 Overall they have good range of food/baked menu and drinks! The location is fantastic with the outside patio too👍🏼

Today I was kicked out from this place, the saleswoman refused to serve me. I have multiple sclerosis, there are no service dogs for this type of disease, but my dog ​​is what keeps me going and gives me the strength to keep fighting. I try to respect the rules as much as possible, but he is a very small and defenceless dog and when I have to take a coffee I just carry him, order the coffee and go out to drink. I can't afford to leave him tied out because if something happens to him or someone steals him I will die. most of the time when possible I order online and just go to pick up what i ordered. But with JJ BEAN it is not an option. The saleswoman after asking me if my dog ​​was a service dog told me that she could not serve me and that I had to leave. I think it is a real disservice, my dog ​​didn't touch anything and I would have left immediately the caffe with my food, in this town there are so many problems that my little dog who touches nothing and is clean shouldn't be a problem.

Not the cleanest coffee shop, but friendly staff and they have birdies visit the shop often. 🦜

In a time when many vegan options are disappearing throughout the city, it is such a relief to know that this JJ Bean location continues to offer vegan options. To the Retail Manager of this location: please continue to offer vegan meals and please continue to add more of them. Also, Barista Brynn deserves special accolades for their skill and empathy for customers with diverse dietary needs and preferences.

They used to be my favorite coffee place in the West End. The muffins are still good but the medium roast has tasted awful in recent visits. The first time we thought it may be the cream that spoilt but it was the same with regular milk today.

Coffee shop with good coffee, and a nice selection of food items, behind the preserved facade of a heritage building but really at the base of a newer highrise.

Great place for more than just a coffee. Nice atmosphere and perfect for bringing your laptop or a book. The location is also great as it's 1 minute from the beach, shops and restaurants.

Coffee is simply great. Inside sitting too, BUT outside tables are disgustingly dirty, lucky we had some soap wipes since we have a toddler and could clean a bit of it for him to eat his snack. We were surprised to find out they are not actually gray.

Local coffee shop, coffee can be hit or miss (sometimes only luke warm), but it’s been better lately and when it’s good it’s good.

Spacious place, very nice coffee, muffins are little bit pricey but they are really good (much more tasty than std muffins you can find in different places). Personal was little bit unfriendly (not smile,...), hence the 4*.

Good coffee? Check. Tasty cookies? Check. Vicious velociraptors? Definitely not. Don't come here if you're looking for deadly lizards. However, if coffee and tasty snacks are what you need? Highly recommend. Being close to the beach is a bonus.

I’m so glad I live close to this coffee gem. Amazing coffee - their soy latte and london fog are to die for (make sure you ask for extra hot though).The iced mocha is the best I’ve had! Hearty muffins - the jalapeño cheddar muffin!! Don’t see savoury ones often. Decadent cookies - crispy oatmeal cookie taste like it’s homemade and fresh from the oven every time! Service is excellent every time. There are no outlets here, so make sure your laptops are full charged before going there :)

Since I started working from home I have discovered the this gem that was previously hidden in plain sight. Great coffee and really fab service in a cool setting at just the right location. I’m never waiting more than 5 min (even with a socially distanced line-up) and the staff always seem really happy.

Ok seriously, the mocha I got here was amazing. Totally awesome unique mocha flavour… idk what your special bean is or whatever but… delicious. :)

The staff are so friendly and their coffee is one of the best coffees I've ever tried. This place is a very good place for family and has a very nice seating area.
