Would give the clinic a 5 if it were based off the quality of medical care, as the doctors I've interacted with (Dr. Gill specifically) have been competent, caring, and knowledgeable and seem to genuinely listen in addressing medical concerns, while conducting themselves with professionalism. Unfortunately, the reception is rude and nearly impossible to contact, which you have to do to book an in person appointment. You're only allowed to call between 9 am and noon, which, if you work a job, is incredibly inconvenient. How can you somehow blame only being staffed on the phones for three hours a day on the pandemic? Particularly now, at this point in time? It's just archaic and convoluted. When I finally do reach them, it's often difficult just to book an appointment because when someone answers you're playing roulette on if the person will be rude, dismissive, or belligerent on the other end. Anyone who has worked 6 months in customer service would have better people skills, which makes it frustrating as you can't easily change clinics or doctors during a healthcare shortage. Hopefully J- Von can improve their customer service/just treat people with more respect when they call, while making an effort to actually have open lines of communication and more accessible hours.

Canceled my appointment without my consent for an asthma inhaler refill because I would not cope and tolerated their staff's attitude and aggressive behavior. Manager Ms Su was being very unprofessional, unethical and passive aggressive, refusing to apologize when pointing out their problems. I sincerly hope she will also be taking full responsibility for the consequence of canceling an asthma inhaler refill appointment for patients. TL;DR Poor management and customer service are non-existing. What's with the attitude? If there is a problem, it's your problem, not theirs. ON POWER TRIP!!!

Just had one of my worst experiences with doctors office. Called in after navigating phone system. Like other reviews they only accept calls between 9 am and 12 pm due to "covid"? Long story short, my prescriptions for my insulin were sent to Costco and only 1 arrived. As soon as receptionists answered she was dismissive and did not want to talk with me. Insisted that I book online with their booking system that is broken. I had to talk over her just to get a word in. Only to get "I don't understand you" and continued with her insistence to book appointment online. After she finished her rant and the fact I shouldn't expect a timely response. I calmly stated that a doctor might not be required to resend a prescription that was already made. She then asked me when the prescription was made and that if it has been more than 1 month that my prescription would automatically time out. I tried to respond that I did use it 1 week after, only to be cut off again with a rant about how costco always loses prescriptions and she would just fax in my prescriptions and that I should just call costco tomorrow to see if they got it. She then hung up. Hopefully there isn't an issue with the prescription for the insulin that I need. She didn't ascertain which prescription was missing. Hopefully she faxes them to the right costco. She didn't ask which one. Bottom line the receptionists is playing gate keeper and is more worried about assertion of her dominance than helping patients. In the mean time I will go to emergency if the prescription for life or death medication isn't sent to Costco.

I’ve been here a number of times for various issues – the doctors are great, and the appointments do not feel rushed. The girls at the front do a great job given the very high volume. While in the waiting room I’ve overhead them dealing with some very rude patients (I bet they don’t act the same way when their coffee takes too long at Starbucks). I hope those patients realize there are systemic issues in the province and a shortage of GPs as there is not enough financial incentive to become a GP. The result is doctors and clinics being stretched thin and is no fault of the clinic itself.

This clinic truly has the worse MoAs (Medical Office Assistants) I have ever encountered. The girls at the front desk have zero compassion and humanity for the patients who go there for help. Wake up ladies, no one goes to a doctor's clinic for fun. They are obviously in pain, distress or discomfort. I don't appreciate being snapped at and belittled for trying to seek medical attention. Also, Covid is over. The option to have an in person appointment is essential for good medical care. How is a doctor going to properly assess physical symptoms over the phone or in a video? JVON online booking system is also a joke. Rather than put in a proper system to address patient requests, they slap a big poster on their wall warning patients "You are on camera". No problem. The camera is also recording you MoAs disrespecting more patients than patients upsetting you. I agree with the many reviewers here, zero stars for how this clinic is run and how they treat patients. If you care about your health, don't bother with this clinic.

No idea what is wrong with this clinic, clearly it isn't being run professionally or appropriately. The receptionist called the wrong number as I happened to be waiting for my mother's doctor to call so there was a bit of misunderstanding, but not only did she give me information of the patient she was trying to call, she also didn't believe that I wasn't who she was looking for and started yelling at me. It is so awful to have a receptionist at a medical clinic yell at people on the phone when patients are just looking for the care they need for their ailments. Hopefully they actually took my number off the wrong person's file, definitely don't want to hear from her again. Astonishing.

Reception is vey impatient and rude; the whole clinic never think from the patients’ perspective. They don’t care if the patient is very sick or anything, all they care is to get off work on time. The appointment never starts on time, and they take this as granted. But if you let them wait for even one minute, they will call you rudely asking why not showing up on time. The communication is bad too. It happened to me twice that they conveyed the wrong thing, but they blamed me???

Updated review: Yesterday one of the staffs called me about this review saying she is “frustrated” over the review because she helped me book the appointment. First of all, review is review. Review is for the clinic, and I’m not reviewing one person in particular. I’m blaming the system and how would the patient know who decides to answer the phone only 9-12? Second, why are you taking it personally? Helping to book an appointment is like a bare minimum. I am a clinical secretary and I understand when patients are frustrated and I don’t take it personally. And booking an appointment is your job. It’s like a restaurant employer saying I helped taking your order why you rate the food bad. I can’t believe they called me telling how frustrated THEY are instead of apologizing for MY frustration. I’m blaming on the system and instead of telling ME it’s not their fault, they should tell MANAGEMENT or DOCTORS about my feedback and think about the solutions instead of giving me a rant without a purpose when I’m busy. This is very unprofessional and it’s time for me to change my GP’s office. Also they charge for Note and even just a Dr's signature so I paid total $100 to get the note saying the same thing. What kind of office answering call only from 9am to 12pm. It's not due to COVID 19. It's because they are lazy. So tired and fed up dealing with this office. Stars for the Dr because Drs are nice. So far I've never had very bad experience with them.

Doctors and staffs are extremely helpful and professional. The receptionists are always amazing. I’m not familiar with their online booking system, they took their time, patiently and show me how to book it step by step. Doctors answer all my questions without rushing me out, and the wait wasn’t too long. I always leave impressed.

The receptionist was very rude to me. My appointment was 3:10pm, I arrived at the clinic at 2:45pm I was tired, I took the skytrain , I walked a lot with my daughter in the sun I did check in, she gave me a mask, then I sat in reception, she kicked me out and said I couldn't sit here She opened the door and kicked me out again , said go walk with your daughter and come back at your time 3:10 pm When I came back, she got me with a scowl and said don't send email to the clinic, we didn't read the email I said but I've tried calling several times and nobody picks up the phone So she asked me to go into the doctor's room , I asked her for another clean mask She asked me very rude and angry face, where is your mask that I gave you, I replied that it was dirty , because my daughter threw out I felt very discriminated , the service is terrible, the receptionist is uneducated

My friend recommended me this clinic and said easy to book and dr are nice. However, they changed "not a walk-in"clinic since when. I booked the appointment yesterday and thought i was booked in but realized was not at all until I called this morning. Their online system is not professional and efficient. Plus Covid19 was already not an excuse to stop patient going to the clinic. Patients needed to be taken care of!!!

I would give zero star if I can! I’ve only been this clinic once ever since the pandemic, the doctor was nice there, However, today when I walk by this area and trying to confirm if my profile is still under this clinic, the receptionist at the front door was so rude and told me not to be aggressive when all I asked was “does that mean I’m not a registered patient here?” What’s more outrageous is the other receptionist started laughing at me just because I asked. And she joked around said she was laughing at her own thing??? Both receptionists should be fired, they deserve zero respect and showed zero professionalism or respect towards their patients.

This clinic is conveniently located, just a few steps away from where we get off. The doctors are highly professional, quickly identifying the cause of the illness and providing appropriate treatment. They explained the diagnosis report in great detail. The receptionist at the front desk is polite and patient, helping us make appointments efficiently.

Orignally, I gave give Five stars to Dr. Gill for his patience, persistence and general helpful, caring attitude. I still recommend him as a doctor, but my frustration is with his Front Counter Receptionists as I had a missed call from J-Von Medical, but a patient cannot return a call or email them (I tried several times, unsuccessfully)! In the past, I've been able to book online and speak with Dr. GILL. However, even though I am an Existing patient, the on-line system won't accept my email (same one I have had for 20 years!) I had to contact Vancouver General Hospital to try and get a message to my Doctor...who I have not heard back from in weeks! I was sent the email by the Doctor to get in touch with this medical clinic, yet it is the very same email that I have received messages directly from J-Von Medical that states: Do Not email to this address as messages will Not be answered!

Their doctors and staffs are very helpful and professional. The doctor prescribed me to do the ultrasound, receptionist gave me the instruction how to book easily and faster. Once they received my report they called me and arranged me to see the doctor. Also they are so friendly and nice.

J-Von Medical Clinic impressed me with their prompt response and efficient service. Upon receiving the lab results from my x-ray test, they quickly scheduled a follow-up doctor appointment. I really appreciate their extra care for me. Their commitment to promptness and attentive service is commendable.

I borrowed one dollar from the clinic for parking, though I did not go to the clinic for medical services. One girl with long hair is very nice. I asked if they are taking new patients, unfortunately they are full now.

This place's reception and customer service is insane. Trying to cancel an appointment is nearly impossible - they expect you to notify them 24 hours ahead to cancel your appointment otherwise will charge you a fee, but when you go to cancel online the online booking says unable to cancel due to being <48hrs and to call the clinic to cancel? Then if you try calling, they don't answer their phone because their hours to pick up the phone is 9-12? Because of covid?? They are always rude whenever I tried booking or calling about anything. I had to get a form filled out by my doctor which she was willing to do as it was healthcare work related, then when I call the office the receptionist doesn't allow me to speak to her or let me get the form filled unless I pay 40$? After speaking with my doctor directly she didn't even mention a charge being needed. They seriously need to rethink how they deliver patient centred care as their clinic is far from that.

We have been going to this clinic for 6 years and we have just been told we cannot come here anymore as this is not our family doctor's office. No warning other than booking a virtual appointment with no email confirmation and being told on the day of the appointment that we cannot come anymore and will no longer be accepted in two months. I feel that I am a victim of discrimination. I will look into their reasoning and make sure that they did not just cut us loose to make room for others, or the front desk thinking they can get away with treating people any way they want to decrease work load.

I am deeply disappointed by the appalling customer service I received at J-von Clinic, particularly due to the disrespectful behavior of their receptionist, Jessie. Throughout my visit, the staff displayed a lack of professionalism and indifference towards patients' needs. However, Jessie's consistent rudeness and inappropriate conduct crossed the line. Her dismissive attitude and lack of respect made me feel belittled and devalued as a customer. Additionally, the clinic's failure to provide a proper platform for patients to voice their complaints or offer feedback further compounds the issue. I strongly advise against visiting J-von Clinic until they rectify their customer service issues, and establish an effective feedback mechanism for patients to ensure a respectful and satisfactory experiencgge

They do not deserve a star. Worse clinic ever, the receptionist inactivated my clinical profile and the owner of this clinic said blame me on everything which I have not done anything. Fell free to dm me for more evidence how they framed a customer

I agree with the previous review author that I would also give zero stars. I have been to this clinic since 2018. While my doctor is fantastic, the receptionists are extremely rude, impatient, and disrespectful, whether the communication is on the phone or in person. My doctor only works on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the clinic is supposed to take same-day appointments from 9 am -12 noon. I called to book an appointment with my doctor. The receptionist asked me what's the reason. I have been coughing for over a week and tested negative for COVID multiple times. Sometimes when I cough a lot, it is hard to breathe. The receptionist replied, "GO URGENT CARE!!" Then she hung up on me. The worst interaction ever! No patients deserve to be yelled at when they feel ill and need care. I wanted to book an appointment because I did not want to go to urgent care and put extra pressure on the hospital. I want to save it for those who really need it. Health care is a public good. It is morally wrong for clinics to choose what patients to take. I agree with all the previous reviews that J-Von only wants your money. This clinic does not really care about your health. My doctor is quitting soon, and I will not miss this clinic.

Irresponsible clinic and staff. Never informed us about our family doctor moved to another clinic. Staff claimed multiple emails were sent then said it is not their responsibility but the new clinic's. Maybe they need to learn how to send emails

Worst customer service ever from a medical clinic receptionist, lack of empathy, lack of understanding, 2 essential things customer service people NEED to have (soft skills). FYI, there is no way to contact this clinic in the afternoon, really business oriented instead of caring oriented. After also reading various reviews I can tell that this lady from reception is not the first time acting like this with a client, as I can see that other people got the aggressive attitude from them.

I’ve been in this clinic with Dr. Zong , for few years, it’s been a good experience with Dr and receptionists , I know they are very very busy and they have to deal with so many things specialist people with bad manners, I was there once with my new born baby a guy was screaming at them and he didn’t even was a patient of this clinic he was a husband of a patient, which I felt very sorry for the ladies at front desk . I wish they can extend their phone line so we can call anytime at the day as before .
