Deni,
I
had
very
low
expectations
of
what
could
come
out
of
our
coaching
process.
My
baseline
was
very
poor.
Pre-pandemic,
I
used
to
do
lap
swimming
regularly.
But
I
stopped
doing
that
all
together
during
the
entire
pandemic.
And
I
have
had
close
to
zero
regular
exercise/fitness
activities
before
I
started
working
with
Deni
in
November
2022.
As
well,
I
was
making
really
bad
food
choices
for
the
last
three
years;
hence,
when
Deni
asked
what
my
fitness
goals
were,
my
answer
was:
‘just
keep
me
alive.’
And
I
really
meant
that.
Fast
forward
to
today:
After
just
two
months
of
working
with
Deni
and
subsequently
doing
it
on
my
own,
I
lost
over
30
lbs.
(from
over
170-pound
baseline)
and
all
other
key
metrics
(BMI,
body
fat
%,
muscle
mass,
BMR,
protein,
metabolic
age)
are
all
in
either
good
or
excellent
range
levels.
Deni’s
methodical,
research-based
approach
to
working
out
certainly
got
ingrained
in
me.
Deni
emphasized
the
importance
of
form
over
speed
and
taking
rests
in
between
heavy
workout
days
to
allow
the
body
to
heal
and
muscles
to
build
(i.e.,
it
is
during
your
rest
days
that
muscle
building
happens-
not
during
the
workouts
themselves).
This,
coupled
with
sustainable
calorie
deficit
diet
(and
by
sustainable,
again,
having
‘breaks’/
indulging
in
some
days
was
integral
to
the
approach)
all
contributed
to
remarkable
outcomes
for
myself.
People
who
have
not
seen
me
since
November
2022
or
earlier
could
not
believe
how
fast
the
transformation
has
happened
for
me.
And
I
have
ended
up
now
being
asked
for
advice
on
their
journey
to
fitness.
